Chapter 19

Suni played with the air by floating strawberries and raspberries, talking as she walked with Valente. It looked so pretty, the berries as they hung in the air.

"This is fun." She giggled.

"I wanna eat one, aaa..." Valente opened his mouth causing her to chuckle. Floating one raspberry near his face, she laughed and teased him not letting him eat it.

"HEY!" He pouted slightly, making a sad face.

"Sorry, hahaha!"

And the raspberry popped into his open mouth which was waiting impatiently.

"Uhm tasty!" He moaned in delight.

"It is?"

"Yeah! You wanna taste?" He half-smiled still chewing and savoring the flavor.

"Yes! I'll float one into my mouth-"

"No. Don't do that and don't drop the berries when I feed you my way." He smirked, coming to a stop, and took her by surprise, kissing her. He bit her lip as she closed her eyes shut, still trying to control the fruits. Her mouth opened, she could feel his thoughts telling her to do so. Sliding his tongue into her mouth as she bleated softly due to the taste of the sweet and sour fruit. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mewl escaping. 

The redhead's free hand, which was not holding the goat, gripped her waist, pinning her to the tree as he kissed her passionately both forgetting about the fruits.

They were making out in the middle of the wood, how could Suni possibly still control the fruits! As Valente dropped the goat, the omega also stopped floating the berries and let them fall, wrapping her hands around her alpha's neck and pulling him close. Both were lost in electric touches of the heated, however, still sweet kiss.

The red-headed alpha pulled out only to see a string of saliva connecting them and that attracted him like a magnet to kiss her again. They both closed the distance between them, once again, brushing their lips against each other.

Suni panted heavily, her face bright red causing Valente to look at her lovingly. He caressed her cheek and smirked, "How did that taste? Better than it actually does right?" He teased her.

She didn't say anything, just looked away shyly.

"Oh, so it did?"

"It-It didn't!" She stuttered.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night, dumbass." He tittered, nuzzling his nose on her neck.

"W-We dropped the food." Her quiet voice came out muffled because of her face against the alpha's chest.

He abruptly pulled out, "Well, fuck." He groaned. "The berries aren't dirty so it doesn't matter." He added.

"Okay." She started floating them again.

"Did you like it?" He teased again as he picked up the goat.

"huh?"

"The kiss?" He chuckled with a slight blush.

"N-No..." She looked away in embarrassment, making Valente's face drop as they walked. "I-I loved it!" She said causing him to blush.

"Good." He said with a red face. "I did too." He cleared his throat, looking away shyly. Who would've expected that answer from the omega?

They finally filled their tummies with food.

"Ah, now I'm thirsty." He sulked.

"Me too." She replied, pouting.

"You are!? Well, then lets' go find water!" He said.

"But her the water will be cold and most likely frozen."

"You are right! But my magic is quite useful in this." He smiled proudly.

It clicked her. "Right...You can melt the pond nearby and we can drink water." She smiled back.

Now nothing was troubling them, they had eaten and had drunk water.

"Does the wound still hurt?" Valente asked, seriously as he lit up the fire so the abandoned room could be warm enough.

"A little bit." She answered, rubbing it slightly as the alpha walked closer.

"Let me have a look." He took her arm in his hand as she nodded. Seeing her wince, he slowly removed the red cloth that was on her arm and sighed, "That's a big scar. I'll make the pain go away." He smiled softly, pecking it making Suni smile widely. "Pain vanished, right?" He snickered at his own silliness.

"Yes! Went away." She giggled and yawned afterward.

"Sleepy, dumbass?" He scooped her in his arms, startling her in the process.

"Yeah...What about you?"

"Same." He yawned. "We'll continue on our way tomorrow, let's sleep now." He said laying her down, letting his arm be used as a pillow by her.

"Are you Comfy?" She asked with big eyes.

"Very. You?"

She nodded and snuggled closer to his chest.

"C-Can you hum the s-song-"

He cut her off by humming the tune of the song. It was very sweet, listening to it in his deep voice. His breathing and heartbeat made her ears twitch, loving how it sounded all together.

They both eventually drifted off to sleep.

Shifting in sleep, Suni found herself awake only to see a shocking scene in front of her. Valente stood there holding his red sword against his neck, smirking.

"Valente! What are you doing? Put the sword away!" She gasped.

"Neck your on be to it like you would?" He spoke in such a way, she couldn't understand.

"W-what?" Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Hands my with die to going are you!" He laughed evilly, going closer to her.

"No! Stop! I-I don't understand!" Suni exclaimed, crying.

"Don't you?"

"I-I don't-" Her words were cut off when he vanished in the mist. "Valente!" She trembled in confusion, fear, and worry. Tears still trailed down her cheeks as she looked around the wooden house looking for him. "Come back, Please, I love you!"

"Suni, too you love I." He appeared in front of her again.

She stood up with wobbly legs. Was he speaking in reverse? But why?

"W-Why? W-What is ha-happen-happening?" She sobbed. "Why a-a-are you in t-tears?"

"You save to die to have I. Sorry am I. Worry don't but. always you with be will I. Best the for is it."

"Wh-what? D-die? Don't please! W-what are you saying? P-please."

"Suni, Sorry. you love I."

"I do! P-Please! I love you too." She exclaimed. "P-please drop the s-sword. I w-wanna be with you! Please!"

"Sorry."

Suni screamed at the scene in front of her. Valente had slit his neck with his own hands and now he lay there in the pool of his blood.
