Kacy Matt

For days now the city of ZOA had somehow enjoyed some peace and quiet. This was because the infamous night assassins as they call it hadn't turned up in quite some time now. The odd thing though was, the people didn't know how to feel about this. On one hand, while some of them were glad that there hadn't been any recent reports of the assassin's doings, others feared that this might be equally bad as well.

The thought that just maybe they were on a hiatus, planning their next big move on the city, not only discomforted a minority of the citizens who had this thought but had placed them in a state of paranoia where they were hypersensitive to everything that went on around them. But in reality, no one was to be blamed as the past only shaped the future and defines the present.

But while some people had worries of their safety and security of their loved ones in mind, others had that same worry as well as some more on their minds. And one prime example of those that were more tough times than others was kacy, kacy matt. The ever tall slender beautifully shaped blonde with a face that could rival that of a super model wasn't having the best of weeks.

Working as a reporter in ZOA's local tv station meant she was a very busy person with little time to spare and apparently, for the past month and so, shes been even more busy covering the sad and despicable events happening in the city. But being busy wasn't what bothered her, it was her life outside her job that was giving her quite the headache.

And the main part of her life outside her job that was suffering from her lack of time, was her love life. The same love life that had only begun months ago at a gym. She could remember it like it happened yesterday. Now the feeling, the feeling of being the bad guy was unfortunately poking her deep in her heart. She knew she hasn't been the best girlfriend any one could ask for in a while.

Was it her to buy to call or visit? Or the fact that she hadn't even had time to go see her boyfriend ever since the first time she went when he lost someone dear to him?. No, she knew all of that contributed, but the thing was, she was scared. She was scared she had been away from him for far too long. And she felt she wouldn't be able to handle his tone if she ever got in a phone conversation with him.

So what did she do instead, she opted for the easy way out. She would send him a text, no, multiple texts. And how did that turn out, well it didn't turn out as she had expected. But she couldn't exactly say she was surprised by the end result though. The messages weren't replied back, which was exactly what she feared would happen. She knew she was at fault but still couldn't help but be mad at her partner.

Then again was it his fault?. She couldn't feel bad about him knowing if she was the one being treated the way she treated him now, she would have most likely than not be done with the person. That was her problem, the twenty two year old knew she had always been the problem in her own relationship. This wasn't the first, but she was determined to make it the last as she wasn't planning on being with another man if it wasn't her current partner.

It had gotten to a pivotal point and she knew she had to make a decision, a quick one. So she took the day off to fix her life. What better timing could the infamous assassins have to her own benefit. Since they hadn't been on a rampage for quite some time, now her work was reduced to some degree.

On her way back from work the previous day, she had stopped at a clothe store and gotten herself something new. She came out of the store and got into her car and drove home. Her house, a two bedroom apartment that was furnished to modern taste was something of a beauty, aside her.

She had gotten up the next day and immediately she caught her self smiling. Indeed she sure was looking forward to how the day was going to play out. She raised her upper body while still in a sitting position and sluggishly she slipped into her flip flops just laying lazily on the side of her bed. She stood up after wearing the flops and got to adjusting her robes which revealed a lot of her gorgeous endowments.

She immediately made way and got to brushing her teeth and doing her usual house routines. There after she stormed into her kitchen and while she made food, she had songs playing in the back that she danced to. And very often than not, she would break a smile, exposing her beautiful set of dimples, she couldn't be more perfect.

She was done with the cooking and decided to go take a bath and the dancing continued there on after she got out with her wet alluring body. She dried herself and sorted her whole self out. Then she got to her wardrobe and pulled out a beautiful white dress. This was a gown and the dress that she had gotten from store the previous day.

She slipped into the gown and took a glance at herself in the mirror with her hair that flowed just over her shoulders. This was an ironic situation of an angel staring at the reflection of an angel. The dress held tightly to her skin giving her already slender godly shape a more befitting new look.

She turned around looking at her self for quite sometime as if seeking a different answer than the one the mirror was currently giving her. That's when her little Samoyed puppy gave a bark which did its job of seemingly snapping her from whatever daze she seemed to have lost herself in. She regained herself and seemingly got back to do what she was doing.

After taking quite the time to do her make up and all, she was finally done and got out of her room walking to the living room with a pair of pink heels that matched the tone of whatever make up she had applied on her face. She went on to the kitchen and grabbed a basket that had a flask in it containing the food she had cooked earlier with some other containers which were probably containing food items as well.

She took one quick look at self once again then grabbed her car keys and opening her main exit door, she was out of her house. She got into her car and dropped the basket on the seat close the driver's. Then she pulled out of her parking space and maneuvered her way into the already busy road given her house was one located at the busy parts of the city. This was a strategic decision made by her as usually she would prefer being alone but given the line of job she took part in, it was rather wise to be in the company of people.

Not only because of the work benefit that came out of it, but for certain security reasons. As her reporting job had already guaranteed she had stepped on some few toes and seen things she probably shouldn't have. This was part of the huddles she had to leap over every day but today wasn't a work day, today was the day she was going to do something that was long overdue.

As she drove through the high ways, she imagined how her plan would play out in her head and at certain intervals a smile would leak its way through her lips. But she couldn't get distracted by this thought so she instead decides to stop fantasizing and instead focus on the task at hand now which was to get to where she was going to safely.

She eventually drove to a more serene area of the city and before long she could see the difference between where she lived and the A town of the city. There just was this huge class difference that couldn't be denied. The air and the environment spoke volumes of the calibre of people that lived here.

And while her place was by no means a dumpster, this area was just too clean and smelt different. The place wreaked of class and orderliness. This A town was were the famous and influential people lived. The big guns of the city and the very people that dictated the happenings all stayed here. Little wonder the houses here just topped anything that the public area had.

But among all these beautiful scenery and class, she just couldn't afford to not see a story in all the "theft" she could see at the moment. But she had to remind herself that today wasn't a work day. She passed through so many checks the moment she had gotten into the area, making her wonder what exactly they were hiding here. The level of security here was appalling as some of them could have been sent to where they were truly needed.

But she couldn't blame them for taking this much preventive measure. She knew if she or anyone living in the public area had as much resources as they did here, then they would probably take more extreme measures. Thinking about the security situation and all, she began to laugh to herself.

"God knows how many checks I'm going to pass just to get to him" kacy thought to herself and just then she let out one of her signature smiles as she looked ahead and in her view was the place she wad going to all along. There was something about the large building that she was staring at and getting closer than separated it from the rest.

Sure it was big and eye catching but other buildings that she had passed also had this characteristics. What actually made this building stand out amongst others is the big "W" that was etched on the building from the right to left corner. There was absolutely no way to not catch this when passing and the owners made sure of that as they had made it look kind of holographic. It was almost like the "W" was approaching who ever passed the area. It flashed with all kinds of light adding to the spectacle of the building itself.

It didn't take too long before she arrived at the grand entrance of the huge mansion standing in front of her. And quite honestly, she felt like her expectations became a big let down. There wasn't the massive security presence she had expected from earlier, there was absence of the usual check that was there even right before the whole "night assassins" came about.

"Classic him, always thinking he's got everything under control" kacy said amidst finding a parking space in the grand parking space of the mansion. She did get one and grabbed her basket, got out of the car and locked it. Then she made her way to the main entrance of the mansion which was another walk entirely.

As she walked towards the entrance, she couldn't help but feel the place was awfully quiet and apart from the three guards at the gate, she hadn't seen any domestic worker around which was quite unusual. But she concluded they must all be in the grand mansion carrying out one duty or the other. She couldn't imagine being a worker here.."The work would never finish " she thought to herself as just using her eyes to survey the area she would most likely be able to clean tired her out.

She got to the main door and yet again another shocking thing occurred. She couldn't understand how there was no one at the door and it was left open. Nevertheless, she walked in any way and that's when she discovered that the place had taken a complete turn around from the last time she was there. The house looked abandoned and awfully quiet on the inside.

"What's going on?. Is he okay?" Kacy wondered as she walked round the place to see if she would see someone working around. But as strangely as it could get, she found no one. That's when a dreadful thought crossed her mind and immediately her basket fell from her hand. And she began to move quickly climbing the stairs.

"No....no...no.... no" she kept on muttering as she ran at her own pace up the stairs. Eventually she made a quick right turn as she came to the end of the stairs. She ran past different doors and stopped at a particular one. Then with her hands shaking and tears preparing to make its trip down her cheek, she held on the door knob and turned it and the door made a slight creak as it unveiled the insides.

She didn't even have to step inside as her suspicions had been confirmed from right there. The ground she was looking at now, at a single glance, looked like a demolition derby occurred in it. But that was not the most worrying thing to her now, there in front of her, a figure stood backing her holding a man by the neck high up from the ground whose face looked quite familiar but she just couldn't quite place where she had seen him before until it finally clicked.

"Austin?" ....
