Academy Days Part 8 Secrets need to be kept

Running in the forest allowed Max to clear his head. Good news, he was sure it would be easy to get Tanya and Summer far away. Bad news, this was apart of the Tribulation from doing things with Jane and all the other personalties.

The little he did with Niles Caulder barely worth mentioning.

"Ok, you will take your cousin and run straight that way." Max pointed with his head. "I will buy some time then catch up. Sound good?" He kept running just a bit more before stopping at a treeline.

"Are you sure it's safe?" Summer hefted Tanya over her shoulders and got ready to run. "I mean... it's a gorilla and it talks."

"Easy...day..." Max turned to the left feeling the presence of someone. Immediately becoming more frustrated about the way things unfolded. "Oh for boots in the cold!" A pink blob of a man came out. It was the radioactive creature Plasmus. Formerly known as Otto von Furth. 'Well.. good cultivation material at least. Just need to get them two out of here and...' Remembering something, Max turned to the side. '..if Plasmus is here... then General Zahl should be here. Maybe he is at the Academy.'

"Ahhhh!" Summer gave out a shrill scream. Her legs turning to jelly looking at the creature. To her credit, she still held on to her cousin at least. But the fear was evident in her eyes and by her body language. "This is a bad dream! Just a bad dream!"

"Plasmus.. no, Otto. Are you still in there?" Max stepped in between the creature and the others. Hopefully, Summer could get it together and make a run for it soon. "How about you calm down and I get you help for what the Brain did to you?"

Max was trying his best to appeal to the man's humanity.

"Urrggh?" Plasmus face distorted a little. Whether it was from his real name being called or from the mention of the Brain doing this to him.

"Come on man, you have to know this is the Brain and General Zahl's doing. I mean, you were radioactive but this form is from him exploiting that." Max tried to appeal to the humanity inside. 'If this was the Plasmus from Young Justice this would be easy. Shit, even the Teen Titans cartoon version would be easy.'

*Vroom!* The Brain had caught up with them finally. Minus Monsieur Mallah. Wherever the ape was, was outside of Max's current range. Up above the clouds had already turned dark black.

No tribulation lighting just yet. So at least time was still on his side.

"Dispose of him at once Plasmus!" The Brain ordered. Eyes flaring up when Plasmus didn't move as ordered. But that was also for another reason. "Insolence!" With a turn, the Brain fired at Max. Laser beam eyes. Or lens since he had no ideas.

"You are a terrible shot." Max taunted. Both eye beams missed his feet as he jumped back. "Plasmus, I have money. And some good science to help you. Unlike the Brain there, I guarantee you I can make you a man once more!"

Max moved as the Brain starting firing once more. Not giving him enough time to speak with Plamus. The laser fire enough to snap Summer out of it. As well as wake Tanya up. They made eye contact with Max.

"Just run! Now!" Max barked. Summer and Tanya took off immediately. "Haaa, now this will be easier." Max shot forward and jumped directly at the Brain. Caught off guard from his jump, the Brain moved back instead of firing still. "Hah!"

*Crack!* Max's fist collided with the casing that housed the organ. Breaking at least and cracking it by a few inches. Placing his feet on the front, Max dug in and tried to rip it open to expose the Brain completely. With out the secure dome, the brain would die quickly.

*Pew!* A laser shot fired into the air barely missing Max. A quick look around showed a very terrified Monsieur Mallah. The ape had been hiding in the trees at some point it seemed. Waiting for the perfect chance to strike.

"Get.. off him!" Monsieur Mallah forced out angrily. Max kicked down hard on the casing trying to break it some more. With the force, he pushed back towards the ground landing in front of Plasmus. "No!" The ape cared only for its partner and nothing else.

"We must retreat for now.." The Brain said weakly. The lights on his dome flickering. " ..another day for the targets." The two left immediately after. Leaving Plamus behind.

"See does not care about you at all man." Max said to the added creature. Even 10 feet from it, Max could feel the radiation come off. But his body was way above the level of such weak radiation. "I promise I will help you, do not worry."

"Grrroo!" Plasma agreed. Standing their as the others escaped. Once the area was clear enough, Max gave Plasma a contract to read over. He himself shot off to catch up with Summer and Tanya. A bad feeling passing over him once more. "Grrooo?"

Near Plasma, Mr.Bones and a few others from Chess had caught up finally. The good news, Plasmus signed the contract. His body started smoking as he returned to a young man. The ground somewhat melted from the discharge of the radioactive waste.

"What in the hell is going on at this Academy?" Mr.Bones lit a cigar. His agents securing the area. A helicopter flying over to secure Plasmus. He was still radioactive for now. Just not a leaky blob of it. "Better be alright Max."

Mr.Bones exhaled staring at the clouds gathering more. His face turning into a frown at how dark they were. Plasmus had his sympathies enough, but not if he lashed out. Or disobeyed orders. Which the young man didn't do at all.

"Sir!" A one of the squad members called out. He approached with a piece of glass that had a little pink liquid on it. "A part of the Brains casing and the liquid that is inside it. Hopefully enough to find one of his distributors."

"Good work." Mr.Bones turned to the cadet taking stock of the find that could have been missed easily. "What's your name again son?" The young smirk in response as he introduced himself personally.

Trouble-

.

Max caught with the two easy enough. They hadn't gotten far due to exhaustion. Summer looked dazed and Tanya looked .. well off. When someone is chasing, it is always best to run.

"Hey!" Max called out. Wanting to get the two to relative safety before something else happened. Like the tribulation lighting that decided to show up. "They are gone! Time to head back."

"That's good." Summer smiled. To tired to do anything more, she dropped to the ground. Fainting in a few moments. "Keep her safe.. Max."

"Well.. shit." Max blinked at Summer. Their was family devotion and then their was this. This seemed really odd. Tanya just watched over till she felt Max's eyes on her. "So.. what happened this past break?"

Tanya didn't get a chance to speak. As several women flew down from up high. Pass Max's senses and with a whole lot of magic hiding them from formations that protected the area. Each of the women had long white hair and a ghostly visage.

Silver ethereal energy circled around them. the same color as the boots they wore and the leotard they wore. Only bit of clothing besides the skintight black catsuits they wore. They looked deadly if not for the odd way they looked at Max and Tanya.

"Hand over the girl and everything will be fine." The woman in front said. the others moving way for the obvious leader. When Max didn't budge at all, she change to threating. "Coooo!" She turned to the side letting loose a small cry.

*Boom!* A sonic wave traveled and blew up a tree.

"Neat." Max said. "Powerful sound waves for an attack. A slight accent in your speech despite your ability with languages. I am impressed." Grinning he made sure to keep a look on the clouds up above. They were still gathering but the wind started coming. "So.. who is part of the Smythe clan and who is a part of the.."

"You are well informed so at least this should help with things." Another more younger of the group spoke up. "I am of the Smythe clan. The girl is one of us and needs to come with before the Brain gets a hold of her."

"Yeah, I can dig that. But not gonna do it of course." Max could finally feel the restriction that was tied to the Scenario at the Academy finally leave. Which couldn't come soon enough. Magic lit up around his entire body. "Damn that feels good. So Silver Banshee.. well Silver Banshees, care to talk about this before the weather turns bad?"

"What the hell are you?!" The woman surrounded him quickly. Primed and ready for combat. "What kind of mgaic is that?!"

"Magic that can kill you." Max flicked his wrists. A sword appearing in each hand. Sin in one and Sorrow in the other. "Can we try being friends or.. do I have to beat you all down before the Heavens cut loose."

Knowing when they were outmatched was something they knew very well. And the current time was not good to get in a scuffle and make a new enemy. One by one they stepped away vanishing into light.

*Booom!* Up above thunder broke out. The Tribulation lighting strike brutally towards Max. Leaving him just enough time to set up protection for Summer and Tanya. Which was throwing the two swords in front the two.

Max focused on battling the Tribulation know longer able to pay a single bit of attention to two girls anymore. Summer was out cold still but Tanya woke up every few seconds. Almost delirious from everything that happens today.

Unknown to her, a few strands of her hair turned white. Enough that a regular person wouldn't notice.

Far Away on Neptune-

.

Athena appeared looking at her old friend Noveria. The young goddess stared defiantly at her friend who started watching everything she did. Making it hard for her to execute plans as needed.

"I thought it time we talked. Have you calmed down yet?" Athena walked across the surface sparing her a small glance.

"What is there to talk about?" Noveria almost sneered. "Your grandmother needs to set him free and things will turn so much better. In fact, I guarantee it will." In her hand was a sheath for a sword. Bits of starlight gathered into it as they talked. "Don't give me that crap that she is not forcing him! Gaia is not that innocent!"

"I hear you fine, no need to scream at me." Athena gave her a playful grin. Noveria settled down just a little. Unable to keep up the front and anger at Athena that did nothing wrong. "Maybe you just need have someone talk to you calmy, hear your side of things?"

"No tricks." Noveria didn't relinquish the sheath of course. She received a nod. "I want to know why she increases the size of Tartarus every single time inside of him and why she took that thing he found away in the first dimension."

"What thing?" Athena arched a brow.
