Darek's Cat, Mati's Father and a Sword

This is a story of Mati's Father, who - due to his lack of tolerance - dies a miserable death, but ends up in another world, assigned a quest of learning how to become a tolerant and decent being. Join him as he proceeds through the unknown, meeting a variety of races inhabiting the place he transmigrated to. Note: silly, stupid and crazy story, written for certain group of people. While most should find something for themselves in here, the deeper meaning may be hard to understand for those, who are not in the know :)

02. Beware of cats

Mati's father owned a car, but driving such a distance with the piece of junk it was could only lead to trouble, therefore he purchased a train ticket, betting on public transport.

Pretty soon, he started regretting a decision he made. Travelling by a train in this area of Poland was not the most convenient thing, to put it lightly.

First of all, the people he got in the compartment - an extremely fat lady, a guy who was sweating like crazy, and above-average-looking young woman who was eyeing him. Mati's father ended up in a really dire circumstances where he wanted to talk to the young woman, but other passengers were too disturbing to focus.

As if that was not enough, he could not have a smoke inside the train, therefore any stressful situation was much harder on him.

In the end, he had to go to the restroom to puke. And for real, while going to a restroom in a train like that is already a challenge, using it is an another level of hell. Honestly, he would have puked even if he was not feeling nauseous by the air in the compartment.

But what he witnessed after returning nearly made him scream - that young woman and the fat lady were kissing, and the guy who was in there with them - well, he was sweating even more.

This escalated to an even bigger problem to Mati's father - he could not stand homosexuality, and combined with odour of sweat, the only thing for him to do was to stand in the corridor until they leave. The problem was - they all ended up travelling to the very same station.

Tired because of the circumstances, the man went to the platform, feeling dizzy and had to sit down. As he was sitting, a stray cat appeared in front of him, its eyes fixed on Mati's father.

The man wanted to rest, so he was not paying attention, but he managed to do so only for a moment. As a longer while passed, and this black cat continued to be there, the father started feeling bothered.

"Go away, leave me alone", he said to the cat, moving his hand in a way that should usually chase the animal away, but the cat did not move at all, "What do you want from me? I have no food, just go bother someone else."

The cat was still not moving from there, and in the end it was Mati's father who stood up and started walking to the closest bus stop.

Minutes later, the man noticed the cat is also walking, some meters behind him, as if it was following.

The man sighed, and went into the bus, which was supposed to take him to apartment building where his son was living. It was going to be a long ride, about half the time he spent in the train - he had no idea why someone would move to a big city just to live in such a remote part of it.

Either way, he found a seat, and noticed the cat staring from the bus stop's bench as the bus was departing.

Mati's father wondered what was this about, but - as he was more worried about his son - he quickly moved his thoughts to making sure he goes outside at a proper stop.

The are he ended up in looked quite similar to their home town.

"Why would he even move here?" the man thought to himself "They tend to say that dogs bark with their asses in our city, but here is no better, even though it's supposed to be the capital. I don't get why people are so crazy about this ditch."

Whatever, he started looking around to find the correct apartment building. Once he did, he first thought of calling, but used an opportunity going through the open door, and proceeded to elevator. Moments later, he reached the target floor and approached the door to his son's apartment.

Mati's father knocked, but there was no reply. He did that once more, and again, while calling the son's name. It was during the weekend, just after noon, so he hoped his son would be around, and it seemed to not be the case.

For obvious reasons, he did not want to let him know before arriving, therefore he did not call the son, and even now preferred to find another way.

He considered going somewhere for now and returning later, but just to make sure he pressed the door handle - much to his surprise, the door opened.

"Hello, Mati, are you there?" he asked, but there was no reply "Is everything alright?"

No one was answering. Worried, Mati's father walked inside.

He quickly noticed a small stream of blue light coming from one of the rooms. It seemed the light was artificial, even though it was a middle of the day.

The man opened the door a bit wider, and could not believe his own eyes. Inside was half-dark as all the curtains were shut, cutting all the light from the outside, and the light was coming from the TV. Still, it was not the thing he did not want to believe, the reason was on the couch - his son, sitting solely in his undies, petting a cat.

"Mati, what the fuck are you doing with that cat? I told you that real man are into delicate women!"

Mati was completely startled.

"But dad, it's not your everyday's cat! He's Darek's cat!"

"Wait, what did you just say? Not only a cat, but male cat!? My son, not only zoophiliac, but also gay!? No, never, I'm not going to stand it, I'm taking you from here!"

The father did not want to hear that, he walked towards his son and tried to take the cat away.

"Dad, that's not what you think! Stop your wild imagination before the things go wrong!"

"What else can go wrong!? You were doing some weird stuff..."

He fell on the ground, noticing he is covered in his own blood. Eyes gave up in a matter of seconds, but ears could still hear the surrounding sounds, and man, how much would he do to not hear this - this cute, innocent meowing of a beast that killed him.
