Chapter 10 : A Dungeon Debut-Part 1

General POV

----Tower Of Babel-Central Square----

The Central Square surrounding the Tower of Babel is paved with neat white bricks and stones, and the craftsmanship of excellent artisans seamlessly integrates them into a cohesive whole.

At this time, it is the peak period for adventurers heading to the dungeon, and the entire square is crowded with people.

Some of them travel alone, presumably senior adventurers who are quite confident in their own strength.

There are also teams advancing in groups, ranging from as few as three or five people to as many as a dozen people.

In the midst of the crowd, a young man in a black hoodie stands out, sporting budget gear, yet his eyes radiate unparalleled enthusiasm.

MC POV

'So, this is the central square, huh? It's packed! Well, it makes sense since this dungeon is a part of everyone's life in Orario.'

'I wonder what will happen once the dungeon is conquered... Will it disappear, or will the protagonist group even conquer the dungeon? I know this world only based on four seasons of anime. I hope when the timeline reaches the canon, I have some strength to save myself!! Because once the canon starts, Orario is gonna be in chaos.'

'Well, no point dwelling on it now. Time to hit the dungeon.'

I signed up at the front desk, took a deep breath, and stepped into the dungeon.

----Dungeon Floor 1------

The 'dungeon' is located under the tower of Babel. Its architecture is conical, and as the number of layers increases, the area becomes larger and larger.

The entrance at the tip, which is the uppermost floor, is on the basement floor of the Tower of Babel. Here, a large hole serves as the entrance.

The adventurers simply enter through the artificially built 'well,' where they encounter a spiral staircase. As they descend the steps, they officially step onto the first floor that's part of the 'upper level.'

The cave resembles a monstrous creature with a gaping mouth, as if the darkness capable of devouring everything extends into the depths, eagerly awaiting adventurers to explore.

Within the narrow field of vision, the dungeon walls glow with phosphorescence—soft but not dazzling, a bit dim.

Additionally, numerous narrow passages, forks, and caves of various shapes are scattered throughout. The combat environment is quite unfriendly.

MC POV

The moment I stepped into this place, I felt a sense of oppression in my heart. It's as if I am being watched by a terrifying beast trying to devour me.

"No wonder strong people are born from here... It takes a lot of courage and willpower to just stand here in this pressure," I thought, wiping a cold sweat off my forehead.

"Crack.."

A sudden noise jolted me, causing my alertness to skyrocket to a thousand percent.

I saw the dungeon wall crack open, and a green, plump humanoid monster with large eyes emerged. It's as if the creature is being birthed from the very womb of the dungeon.

'Is this....is it a goblin? Ha look at you asshole..scared as shit huh..Now keep calm and think about it.Goblins don't have any intelligence and all its actions are driven by its instinct. So it will attack the first the that it sees . Hence its eyes is a weakness. Moreover Its height is very much shorter than me so its attack cant reach my neck and will focus on the second fatal organ, that is the heart.'

As expected the goblin saw me at let out an unholy scream and came running towards me trying to attack my heart. I quickly dodged it and took a handful of sand that I kept in my pocket and threw it in its face.

"GRAAAAAA" It let out another scream

I held my sword and slashed its neck with all my might

"HINOKAMI KAGURA:RAGING SUNNNN!!!!!!!!"

A white light slashed through the air as the short sword effortlessly severed the goblin's neck. The strike was slightly off, causing the blade to cut diagonally, even slicing through its shoulders.

With a bang the goblin was reduced to a black ash leaving behind a tiny little stone.

'That's it? I thought it'd be weird, making me wanna puke. But I guess without the blood, I'm oddly okay with the whole killing deal'

'Something felt off when I sliced the monster with my knife.I believe a swordsman's slash is crisp and clean. When I swung the sword, the trajectory was distorted by some form of resistance, and the hilt didn't grip securely in my hand'.

'I had to use exert extra force to counteract the pulling sensation.I need to learn how to use force efficiently so that I don't waste unnecessary stamina.'

'And also.....CALLING MY PATHETIC ATTACK HINOKAMI KAGURA IS A HERECY!!!!'

Cursing myself, I put away the dagger and bent down to examine my spoils.

'Magic stone, huh? The gift of the dungeon'. Most of the money in Orario comes from the export of magic stone products.

'I guess I would get 100-200 valis for this stone.'

A meal in the 'Hostess of Fertility' consisting of a large bowl of fried rice and a drink comes at a combined cost of 700 valis, with the fried rice priced at 400 valis and the drink at 300 valis.

'It's not easy to live in any world' I sighed

Putting the magic stone into my backpack, I was ready to continue exploring. Soon after, I found myself in one skirmish after another with the monsters, mainly goblins and kobolds..

With each battle, a fresh experience unfolded for me – they called it combat experience.

At first, I was struggling to slice through the monsters' flesh . However, by the second time, I managed to gain better control over the sense of confusion.

After the third or fourth round, I felt well-prepared, consistently hitting my targets with precision.

Of course, such feats are beyond the reach of ordinary people, but with the Falna the impossible becomes possible.

The rapid growth in combat experience, skills, and strategies propelled me from an ordinary person to something more.

"Boom-boom-boom-"

A row of three goblins disintegrated into black ash in front of me, the magic stone gleaming in my hand.

'why do i feel a sense of incongruity in my body?' I looked at my hand and frowned.

'Now that I think about it this started when I came out of the library'

'I feel like my mind and body are not balanced right now'...

The most likely guess I could come up with is that I've gotten stronger too quickly. Well, let's just think about it for a second. When we travel from a plain region to a mountain region, we often get mountain sickness, right? The human body needs some time to adapt to changes.

"Huh... Looks like a lot of self-disciplined training or intense combat is required to get my body back in top form," I thought as I prepared to continue the grind in the first floor.
