Hestia: Bell-kun Is A Good Boy!

Chapter 20 - Hestia: Bell-kun Is A Good Boy!

With today's harvest, Bell returned to the abandoned church.

Seeing Hestia standing outside, Bell immediately quickened his pace.

"Bell-kun!"

Hestia had been worried at home since Bell went out in the morning.

This was the first time her child had entered the dungeon, and she was worried something might happen to Bell.

Now that Bell was back safely, her worries were finally eased.

She rushed towards Bell, and before he could react, she hugged him.

Her ample chest pressed against Bell's stomach.

Bell, who was usually calm, couldn't hold back for a moment.

It wasn't that his control over women was too low, but mainly because Hestia was too lethal.

"Umm~ it's really Bell-kun, not some ghost."

That firm touch made Hestia confirm that it wasn't just her imagination.

She instinctively placed her hands on her chest, and the heart, filled with worry, could finally be at ease.

"Hestia-sama, I said I can easily handle the first floor of the dungeon."

"Well, Bell-kun, it's not a question of whether you can handle it."

"Even if you can, I will still worry about you."

Glancing at Bell, Hestia felt much more at ease now.

"Bell-kun, how did it feel to go to the dungeon for the first time?"

She also needed to listen to her child's experiences.

As a goddess, Hestia was barred from entering the dungeon and would never have the experience of exploring it.

She also wanted to learn about the dungeon from Bell to satisfy her curiosity.

"I feel... the monsters in the dungeon are stronger than I imagined."

Speaking of the dungeon, Bell first thought of the goblins he had fought today.

Those monsters were clever and would choose to besiege when they knew they couldn't win individually.

"Goblins are faster and more flexible than ordinary people, and their strength is also extraordinary."

"And those goblins have a certain amount of wisdom."

"Oh?"

Hestia's eyes widened.

She couldn't believe her ears when she heard Bell say that the goblins possessed a certain amount of wisdom.

Hestia glanced at Bell thoughtfully and confirmed it again.

"Bell-kun, are you sure it's not just your imagination?"

"Probably not."

"I used the same technique twice in battle, but the goblins who saw me immediately countered my actions."

"I think this should be a sign of wisdom."

Bell wasn't entirely sure, but he judged the information based on the goblin's actions.

They had some wisdom, but he needed to find out if it was only temporary during battles or if all monsters born in the dungeon had any wisdom.

Hestia fell silent after hearing this.

If what Bell said was true, then the goblins did possess some wisdom.

But how could this be?

Monsters were supposed to be mindless creatures.

If they had a certain amount of wisdom, didn't that mean they were no different from humans?

The reason adventurers could freely kill monsters was because those monsters lacked any wisdom.

But if monsters possessed a certain amount of wisdom and could even possess wisdom similar to humans.

So, Would Adventurers fight those monsters with wisdom?

Hestia didn't know the answer.

She didn't dare to think about it.

Hestia stared straight at Bell.

"Bell-kun, what if the monsters in the dungeon have the same wisdom as humans in the future?"

Bell shook his head slightly.

He didn't know if that would happen.

"I can't answer this question...but..."

"If someone threatens you or me, no matter who they are, I'll kill them!"

The world Bell used to live in had long since ruined its morals.

He had long since discarded things like helping elderly people cross the street, which he had learned in middle school.

Morality is often targeted by morality, so Bell had long learned to be indifferent.

The person standing on the road?

Does it have anything to do with him?

Since it has nothing to do with him, why should he help?

"If those monsters appear, the only way to deal with them is to approach them with the same attitude as adventurers."

"If those monsters try to trouble me, I will not show them mercy."

"Of course, if they help me, then I will choose to help them regardless of whether I might be betrayed."

Bell looked at Hestia's blank face and wondered if his answer was too straightforward.

So he scratched his face and asked.

"Hestia-sama, is something wrong with my answer?"

Hestia returned to her senses and smiled with relief.

"Sure enough, Bell-kun is a good boy."

She didn't know if the dungeon had any secret.

However, she was relieved that Bell was somebody who could make up choices.

"Good and Bad cannot be judged by morality; they are just personal perspectives."

"Bell-kun, you just need to do what you think is right."

Hestia smiled and said.
