CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: The Estate.

"I'm sorry but I can't do what you ask of me,we just don't give out information to strangers' ' The  estate secretary said to Skyler who had a devious look on her face when she rejected her offer.

She had come to her claiming that her late husband shared the estate between  the two daughters Kassidy and Natasha only to get disappointed that it was only Natasha's name that's on the will and also the owner of this large estate.

Not only had she been greedy and wicked to take the company away from her,she wanted the girl to go penniless and come begging to her.

It's a shame that she was doing this to her stepdaughter who was a little bitboldr to her daughter,Kassidy.

But she was desperate,she knew Naysha wouldn't relent or relax and give up her inheritance that easily she was sure she was looking for a big comeback and was planning on how to attack her.

What also gave her this unsure feeling that she was definitely going to attack soon was the fact that she had someone backing her.

She watched the news the other day and was stunned when someone helped her from the attack on her by the citizen,looking at the strange man whose face was not captured by the paparazzi,his back was the only thing the paparazzi was able to capture making  it impossible to know who he was.

She figured out he was quite rich judging by the way he dressed,no sane man would help someone who was accused of fraud unless he or she had a background supporting him.

She clenched her fist getting angry due to the estate secretary not  complying to her bidding. She wanted to know how much the estate was worth because she had a plan on how to take it away from her but the lady was such a total jinx.

She left her office in anger while entering her car,she called her secretary's number asking him to call over the shareholders to her house.

Not only had Christopher shown his dislike for their daughter,Kassidy but he made it so open that everyone knew that the man had a favourite among the two.

Why would he sign everything in the name of Natasha?

The hate she had for the young lady was growing tremendously,since she was young she had always known she would be a blocking stone towards achieving what she wanted.

And just as she predicted it happened,why she needed to get her hands on that estate soon enough was that she knew having that estate as a backup was big enough to make her survive even without the company.

Skyler was getting more antsy and suspicious as to why she hadn't attacked already.Her step daughter was so smart and won't stoop too low to give up that easily.She had been expecting her but it seems like the young lady has given up already or maybe not.

Natasha White had given up so easily.

No,it's not possible,she remembered her promise to her while she was leaving the family house,she vowed to make her come back begging.

She scoffed at her guts,she was such an actress,nothing was ever going to make her bend down at her feet begging for mercy,rather it would be the other way around her begging for mercy from her.

She was surprised she was not planning on staying in the family house  again,they had been living together but the hatred was evident but it seems like her attack affected her too much that's why she objected  to staying in the family house for now.

Natasha was too smart for her liking even though she was not happy with Kassidy's low IQ,she couldn't stand the overzealous and smartness of her.

Since a kid ,the girl had  figured out her true colors and had always tried warning her dad's,but men would always be men ,the man was blinded by her beauty not taking his daughters' warnings seriously now look where it  landed him.

He was dead.

Poor Christopher.

The ride came to a halt and she stepped down from the car entering her room to throw her bag  at whatever corner,she was pissed off.

If she had that huge estate to herself,why hasn't she attacked yet when she had a big backup.

What is she  playing at?

Natasha, what's your game changing plan?

She walked in circles trying to come up with any strategy she could find useful to her to get her estate but sadly she couldn't come up with anything.

"Mother"Kassidy called barging into her mom's room without  knocking,so mannerless of her.

"What?!"Skyler snapped at her angrily while she gasped at her mom's tone,it took a while for Skyler to calm down and apologize to her for shouting at her.

"What's wrong mother,who made you angry?"Kassidy asked, coming closer to her.

"It's nothing"Skyler lied,walking over to sit on top of her bed,what's the use of talking about the estate problem with Kassidy,it's not like she's going to give any reasonable contribution that would help them."How's Keith?"she asked changing the topic.

"He's fine,"Kasdidy said, smiling. She went and sat beside her mother,she  took her hand in hers,looking at her, giving her a cute puppy look.

"What?"Skyler asked because she knew the meaning behind the look,she was definitely going to ask her for something.

"Actually mother,I need some money to...."Kassidy said but was cut short by her.

"Kassidy!"

"Mother seriously,why are you stingy? It's not like Natasha's in the company any longer,everything is yours,all I need is some money"Kassidy bickered at her.

Skyler touched her temple ,she was having a slight headache and Kassidy  was not helping it either.

"Stingy?"

"Mother pleaseeee"Kasdidy persisted,disturbing the lady further not giving her a breathing space.

"Fine,how much are we talking about here"Skyler finally gave in to her biddings,Kassidy smiled raising two of her fingers.

"Two thousand"Skyler asked but the duo declined "two million!"she asked this time she agreed.

"Mother, it's not that big,"Kassidy sarcastically said.

"Do you know how hard it is to make money Kassidy?,you need to grow up"

"Oh spare me the preaching mother! Keith's birthday is coming up soon. I want to surprise him,help me"she pleaded, holding her mother's gown while looking at her with pleading eyes.

Skyler turned her back not giving her a definite answer, Kasdidy can be a handful sometimes.

She's just so unbelievable.

"Motherrrr ''Kassidy went on until Syker finally gave a deep breath and turned to her.

"I will give it to you"

"Thank you,you are the best ''Kasdidy thanked her kissing her cheeks but her joy was cut short when her mom said.

"In exchange,you have to start working at the company"

"What! seriously?"Kassidy asked with widened eyes,her mother was threatening her.

"Yes kass,I think it's time you start working"

"But mother,I'm a model I dislike working"

Skyler bursted out laughing at what she said,she doesn't like working but she loves money,oh you sky vixen!

"Quit with the childish act kass,we know you were meant to start working sooner or later and the time is now"

"Mother!"

"There's nothing you are going to say that's going to change my mind young lady,failure to do that,I will cut off your allowances"

"No you won't do that!"Kassidy dared.

"Watch me do so"

"I hate you"Kasdidy finally said leaving her room,pushing the door which closed with a banging sound.

"Bitch"Skyler cursed, irritated at her attitude,sometimes she wondered if  she really was her child  because she was clearly the opposite of her.

You  know who she's like,why the question Sky?

Her inner bitch asked but she waved the thought aside,her phone chimed taking it up to read the text message,the shareholders were ready waiting for her.

Natasha it's time we dealt with you already.
