Mystery

The day is gone, the moon is out. The small sounds of footsteps echoes in the dead silence of the night sky. No one is around for miles in the seemingly abandoned town. The only light left is radiating from the bright full moon or the lamp posts located nearby.

The sound of the soft footsteps comes to a abrupt stop, just as a loud ruckus is heard in the alleyway just next door to the street. The soft tips of brown hair hang gently in front of the delicately soft skin, just her chin and barely her nose are visible at the moment.

A hand is placed on her shoulder, not gently either. "Hey lady." Some obviously drunk man asks, when she doesn't reply he turns her around quickly. "I'm talkin' to yoou!" He shouts in anger, but the second they touch her shoulders she punches him in the gut. He stumbles backwards, however she walks towards him. A dangerous look in her eyes. "I-I'm sooorry." he slurrs, but he doesn't sound like he means it.

The girl walks up and knees him in the stomach again. He falls to the ground, his fear now growing. "I'm sorry!" He shouts, now getting out of his drunken state. The girl stops and stands a few steps in front of the man, who surprisingly started crying. A loud bang is heard in the alleyway next door to them, however when the man looks back at the girl. She isn't there anymore. He quickly gets to his feet and runs away.

Many thoughts run through his head, but one sticks more than the rest.

"Who was she?"
