A few months had passed since I had entered the academy, and in principle, little had changed during that time. I was still going to classes with the same persistence that I even earned the respect and trust of some teachers, so they sometimes gave me light assignments, which I did not see any point in refusing and, unlike the canonical trio, my age added a few points to me.
After class we still gathered at my lab, only at the same time I was doing some experiments, I had a plan to do {} for {} well, plus it could help people with psychological trauma, as well as desirable to think of a way to return {} just in case.
I think one of the most significant changes was that ------ said I didn't have to come and get her all the time, I could only come a couple of times a week, of course I suggested she come to my lab, but she refused and there was nothing I could do about it.
One of the most meaningful things I think was that I invited my friends to come to my place, they had no reason to refuse, and of course they were curious to see where such a genius like me lived.
I think if it was a comedy anime, they would have dropped their jaw and punched the floor when they saw our ------ with the house, but I think Chisa practically handled it, she went into the house and saw just piles of dust in some places that ------ and I were just too lazy to clean, I don't need to say that she spent the next week on what would clean up.
These meetings at my house certainly didn't happen too often, but they still managed to help ------ and Chisa find common ground with each other. Usually when they met, they would gather in some corner and whisper to each other, judging things I had no interest in at all, doing each other's beautiful hair, painting each other's nails and going shopping together, and of course we would send Juzo off together as a carrier. Admittedly it didn't help from us going out with them either, and they tried to pick up clothes for the three of us.
Also ------ leaked one of the most unpleasant things about me to Chisa, namely that my hair was silky and soft. And this was followed by almost daily strokes on my head from her. What's also most unpleasant is that they tried to do my hair, but good thing they accepted the general consensus that a tied ponytail suited me best. After that ------ pretty much every day she ties my hair and she doesn't care where I am.
Of course, this invitation to them was not based on having fun, but it was also followed by my personal goals, namely to help find ------ a few more people she can talk to and trust, I hope it helped at least a little.
Surprisingly, I was able to show them even more respect because of the fact that they never once asked about where our parents were or what the two of us were doing here.
We also met up with Fuyuhiko and Natsumi a few more times, and of course Peko was with them talking about what happened and what happened, and most of the time we went out to eat or go to the parks.
A couple of times, to my surprise, Tengan-san and Kirigiri-san even came by and asked if I was doing well. But there were also some unpleasant guests, and that was when a member of the steering committee of the Academy came to our house one day, he of course didn't say anything bad and was even quite nice, but it couldn't just be that, I even had an itching scapula all the time when he was in the house.
All these thoughts swirled around in my head as I walked Towards - - - - - -'s school to pick her up and go somewhere to unwind.
When I got to the familiar gate, I went inside and headed toward the school itself to wait for her inside the school. Of course, in normal situations they wouldn't just let anyone in, but the Peak of Hope brooch told me that I wasn't just anyone and stopping me would be associated with problems. Still, there were some nice perks to it.
Ten minutes later, the bell rang, telling me that ------ should be here soon. Without much time to wait in the doorway, students began to appear who looked at me with interest, and the bolder ones even had the conscience to point a finger at me, or rather at my brooch, not at me. The most unpleasant thing was that I felt trouble again when I saw that some of the older guys with gangster looks began to stretch their fists.
I don't know what exactly they didn't like about my appearance, but it didn't bother me one bit. I didn't think a common punk was going to stand a chance against me with a few combat skills and a gamer's body.
But anyway, I continued to stand still, ignoring the conversations and stares, until I heard the familiar girl's laughter. Looking toward one of the corridors, I finally saw the person I'd been waiting for.
------ was walking surrounded by a bunch of people, with boys and girls among them. Also, looking at the way all the other students were spreading out around them and the general aura that emanated from them, it was safe to say that they were something of the "elite" of this school. And the thing that personally caught my eye the most was that at the very center was ------, well although it was logical, she had already started {} and was assigned {} so it was already clear that she would be a popular girl at school.
Also worth noting is that while ------ was chirping with a bunch of girls about something of their own, the guys who were around were trying to please her, I even saw one of them holding her bag. I wasn't jealous, of course, but I just wondered if she had influenced her friendship in any way, if there was blackmail or something like that involved.
"Yasuke!!!" - came a voice that brought me out of my thoughts.
Which made sense it was the voice of ------ who saw me and hastily said goodbye to everyone at once and in doing so snatched her purse from the guy's hands and ran toward me with a happy face.
"Hi." - I greeted her.
"Hi there!" - she said and threw herself around my neck for a hug. "You could have texted that you were coming! And I wouldn't have made you wait so long!"
"That's all right." - I said, starting to feel an aura of hatred in my direction. "I just thought I'd surprise you, and well, I haven't been here that long."
"But still, you should have warned me!" - she said emphatically. "Suddenly I'd be late in the mug and you'd be waiting here for another hour!"
"All right, all right." - I gave in, knowing it would be useless to resist. "Next time I decide to surprise you, I'll be sure to let you know."
"Yes!" - she said, proud to have beaten me again. Though why, it would seem, I'm sure I never once won in a verbal altercation.
"How about we go out?" - I asked the question I'd been walking here for.
"Where?" - she answered the question with a question while putting as much interest as she could into her answer.
"We'll decide on the way." - I suggested an option that suited both of us. I didn't care, and she was happy with me.
"Let's go!" - She said and pulled me by the hand toward the exit.
"Freeze." - before we'd even walked a couple of steps, there was a shout that was clearly directed in our direction all along the hallway.
Of course, I would have gone on, just ignoring it, but ------ showed interest in the shout and stopped in place to look at the speaker and I had nothing left but to look too.
By all thing's cliché, it had to be someone I knew. And it was! Fuck knows who... I was hoping it would be one of the characters I knew and not just a minor villain who would be forgotten after a chapter. But I think even so, he deserved at least the slightest bit of description.
He was a rather smarmy and handsome guy with blond, slicked-back hair and bright blue eyes who carried the bag ------ before I got there, the likes of which could be described as "The First Reborn Villain" or just saying the rich guy and the coolest guy in school who has rich parents and also had to humiliate the main character before that. But to deny the fact that he was prettier than me I couldn't. I think it's worth mentioning that when he spoke all the girls around us started whispering with a blush on their cheeks.
"-------chan! Who's that?" - he said. As he did so, he moved closer to me and began pointing his finger at me with arrogance.
"This?" - she said with a wistful smile and kind of questioningly pointed her finger at me. "That's Yasuke. You heard me. I kind of called him that."
"I didn't ask for his name!" - he said angrily. "I asked who he was? And why did you attack him? We said we'd go to the cafe tonight."
"He's my best friend and it was nice to see him!" - She said and clung even harder to me. "Well and we didn't arrange to go to a cafe with you, I arranged to go with my friends."
"What?!" - he said with shock. "Well, you're the one who said I could go with you!"
"I didn't say it was a private party." - She continued to humiliate him. "Anyone could come with us if they wanted to, as long as they asked. Besides, it wasn't me who suggested going to the cafe, it was Minami-chan, so you can go to the cafe too, it's not like the meeting was canceled."
After that, he clearly didn't know what to say and of course, as is usually the case, a passing villain couldn't pick on the main character's cool friend, then he starts blaming everything on the main character. And so, this guy looked at me with rage.
"You..." - he clearly started to hate me, and he gave me that look that you usually get when you look at shit. But you gotta hand it to him, he was able to calm down quickly. "You think just because you put on a fake Hope Peak badge, you're worth something?"
"No." - I said and just turned around and walked toward the exit.
He tried to yell something at my back there, of course, but did he seriously think it would work on me? Even leaving aside the fact that I was a super genius and all that, a simple insult like that wouldn't get me off my chest. After all, I am a morally mature person, and if an insult from a rich schoolboy could hurt me, I would stop respecting myself. Moreover, when his threats do not scare me, because I have a good such support.
The rest of the day was spent hiking between coffee shops, where ------ and I destroyed a pretty good supply of ice cream and cocktails.
(Time Skip.)
Lying on the bed with my face pointed at my pillow, I thought about what had happened during this entire school year. At the same time, I decided to be the subject of ------ who wanted to learn how to massage, so now I was lying on the bed shirtless with ------ sitting on me running her hands over my back and I must say it was incredibly nice and relaxing, there was even a notice.

And there was no denying that it was really quite enjoyable, but despite that we still have to summarize this year.
The year's exam. Yes. It wasn't particularly difficult and I got the maximum number of points on it, as in principle ------ at my school, I only had to dig in a person, and ------ never had any problems with studying, but for most people in the academy who had forgotten what taking exams was, it was difficult, so because of that there was an increase in activity as people the week before the exam, but it seemed that everyone from my class as well as from others passed. But maybe it was because it was practical and you just had to show what you learned here, although maybe this exam was just for checkmarks and didn't carry anything serious with it.
Also, to my surprise, my skills in medicine were improved, because the academy started sending me patients who were seriously ill and who weren't, young and old, but I had to cure them all by any means necessary, which I was already coping with well in principle. I had to note that these people were not the easiest and held high positions, some I had often seen on television or heard their names in the news, and those I did not know I was afraid to even think about. I also think the main point was that not all of them were Japanese, or rather most of them came to Japan on "business".
And, as was the case in the last hospital, after treatment I began to gain popularity again, so that sometimes near the house I found gifts from them, and some gifts went beyond the word "Decent", but I think the worst thing was happening on my card, which added a couple of not unreasonable zeros. Well and what is logical along with that, ordinary people started to find out about me, so I started to appear often on the Internet, and some young and middle-aged people started to come up to me in the street and ask to be photographed with them, to which I saw no reason to refuse, so I often got my pictures with new people in my feed.
Also, to my surprise, I was hired to inspect the crime scene. I really don't know why it was me and not "Ultimate Detective", which is supposed to already exist in Kyoko's person, but for some reason the academy asked me to check the place. Maybe it was just to show their trust in me, though a special pass that could let me into almost any place in the academy was enough.
And I don't know if they were sure that I would find out who the killer was, but I did find out who it was. Arriving at the scene of the crime, which was fenced a hundred meters around and walked up to the body in the alley only to see a beautiful man who was nailed with iron scissors on his wrists to the wall as if he was crucified, it was hard to even imagine how much effort it took to do that, but it was done.
On examining the body again, I realized that it was all cut and stabbed with scissors, which had been inserted in several other places besides the wrists, behind it on the wall I guess his own blood was written "blood fever" and as the police officer told me, this was not the first dead body and even it had been repeated for several years, so they decided to ask the Academy for help, because they suspect that "Absolut" was connected to it. Speaking of the policeman...
"What do you think?" - he said to me when he realized I'd looked around for what I could.
"He's dead." - I summed it up.
"That's it?" - his voice was overflowing with indignation. "That's plain enough!"
"I'm a doctor, not a detective, what more do you want from me? But..." - I interrupted him when I saw that he wanted to say something else. "The murderer was not tall if you look at the placement of the scissors and the angle in which they were inserted. Also, if your information is to be believed, the killers are of school age if you judge by time, but you can't tell for sure, but the killer must be a girl who was rejected by a boyfriend or something like that, which is why she only concentrated on guys. We need an autopsy to confirm for sure. And... if you look at all these footprints." - I pointed to everything around here. "Then the killer spent a lot of time here and if there weren't any witnesses, there can only be three explanations for her panicking when she left. Either she had a strong urge to pee, she was late for her favorite show, or she has dissociative identity disorder. That's no longer for me to decide."
The look on his surprised face made me realize I'd hit the mark, maybe they knew most of it, after all it wasn't anything special and any detective could figure it out, but the fact that I could list all their clues surprised him. I also said it was a girl, which must be a new piece of evidence I'm pretty sure it was.
As I understood it was "Killer Jack", one of the surviving characters in the first game, I really don't remember her real name but I could describe her appearance, but there's another little nuance to it, I wouldn't be able to explain it in any way. True, I would not mind if they catch her, after all, she killed a lot of people and it cannot be forgotten what happened in the original story, although there was not the most convenient time, and her skills were useful, but if she is not caught, then I will not mind, so that's her fate.
(From the author: it would be correct to write "Killer Sho," but "Jack" would be easier for me.)
After agreeing with, the police officer that I would be present at the next murder to try to find new evidence and confirm old evidence, I went home.
Also, to my surprise, I started getting invited to research or appointments abroad, just like in Japan itself, which the academy didn't mind, and I would even say it was glad that I was going abroad and improving Hope Peak's status as the best school for gifted children. Of course, before each trip I learned the language of the country I was going to, so my repertoire was enriched with several new languages which gave me several new levels, zero to be exact. After learning from a frustrating experience on my last trip, I started checking before each trip to see if there really was, in fact, the place or meeting I was going to. Also, for the company with me sometimes went ------ and we went on excursions or shopping in those countries.
The most frustrating situation was that I wanted to visit Mori-san at my last school, but she wasn't there and no one knew where she had gone, which was worrying, but there was nothing I could do about it.
"I'm done!" - came a cheerful voice in my ear.
"Okay." - I said standing up. "Thanks ------."
"You're welcome!" - she said and waved as if it wasn't nothing. "Contact me anytime."
Those were her last words before she left the room, and to my disdain I involuntarily slid my eyes over her figure, which was beginning to show better by the day, and she was beginning to notice that, too, as she sometimes rubbed her so far friends against me.
Almost as soon as my gaze slipped from her figure it moved to the wall, where several pictures appeared, mostly of course of the canonical trio with my new class and ------, but that was something, and the wall didn't seem so empty anymore, which was nice.
(Time Skip.)
To my surprise, I have to say that the vacations had gone too quietly, but I was now a senior in my second year, which sounds strange with my thirteen-year-old age, but it was. Stepping into the familiar building and walking down the familiar hallways I walked into my classroom. After saying hello to the trio, I had met a couple of times, I went to ask the others how they spent their days.
(From the author: I did the math here and the main character is about 13 years old.)
Just like last time, a lazy man walked into our office, who only changed his appearance slightly. Koichi-san was still just as lazy and uninterested in what was going on around him, but here he finally sat down.
"Is everyone here?" - he asked, looking around the classroom even though it was obvious to us that he was asking it for decency's sake. "It's nice to see you all again, and I hope you had a wonderful vacation. Oh right! Before I forget. Yasuke!" - he began rummaging through all the pockets he had in order to pull out one of their crumpled papers. "Here."
"What's this?" - I said as I stood up.
"I thought you might be interested in it," he said as he watched me begin to read what was written on the piece of paper.
{
Miya Gekkogahara.
Grade 75
Ultimate Therapist.
}
It was only three lines, and how much joy they brought me cannot be conveyed. It meant that I would finally not be the only member of the Hope Peak Medical Department, and another person would be joining my leadership, I don't know what that would change, but it would be new blood. Fighting the urge to rush into class right now I turned to the classroom teacher
"Thank you very much Koichi-san!" - I said thanking him and even overcame the urge to bow.
"You're welcome, Yasuke-kun. It wasn't hard for me." - He said, looking at me with interest. "You're not going right now?"
"I'll wait a couple of lessons for her to adjust a bit." - I said, returning to my seat.
As I sat down in my seat with a smile on my face, I felt a hand start to touch me on my right, which all I had to do was turn around and I saw Chisa there.
"What is Chisa-san?" - I said in my full voice knowing that I would not be asked to speak more softly.
"Yasuke-chan. What did Koichi-san give you that made you so happy?" - And even though she seemed to be the only one interested, I noticed that the whole class looked in our direction and even Kyosuke-san turned his ear in our direction.
"Here." - I said, handing her a piece of paper that I was still holding in my hand. Which she immediately began to read. "There's a first-year student who has an Ultimate connection to medicine. So, she can be invited to the lab."
"Ohhhh!" - she marveled. "Congratulations Yasuke-chan! Finally, you won't be the only one in it."
"Hahaha." - From the back where Juzo was sitting I heard a light laugh.
Not paying any more attention to it than necessary, I began to wait in excitement for the three classes to pass. Which, to my surprise, was pretty hard to wait for, I think for the first time in my new life I was impatient. So, after the bell rang for the end of the third class I jumped up from my desk and headed off in place of what was supposed to be the first-year class.
Even though it was recess there weren't many people in the hallways, since most of the students weren't even going to class. So practically no one saw me practically run down a few floors. But trying to retain some of my dignity I stopped in front of the classroom entrance, and knocking on the door I went in.
"Hello Yasuke-kun." - said calmly a man with a mediocre appearance, but despite that he was an "Ultimate Mathematician" who logically led the mathematics courses at the Academy."
"Hello Kazuhiro-san." - I answered him respectfully, after all he was an intelligent man who was nice to talk to sometimes. But that's not why I'm here, and after his slight nod I walked to the center of the classroom and turned to the students. "Which one of you is Miah Gekkogahara?"
After my words, I began to look around the classroom. This class was not much different from the one I had been in, and the students, like everyone else in this school, looked the strangest way to distinguish themselves and show their belonging.
A hand was raised from the back desk, the owner of which I could not see even after the owner had raised his hand. As I walked to the back of the classroom, I saw a girl of short stature, and she was even shorter than Chisa-san and by my conservative calculations she wasn't even over 150 centimeters, so if she grew up, it would only be by about 3 centimeters.
But this one was a pretty girl with blue short hair that had a headband in it, she also had bright blue eyes that shone with curiosity with long lashes and pale but not sickly skin. She was wearing a white vest and a white blouse with a brown skirt, and her feet were wearing knee-length black stockings and white sneakers. But I think the most eye-catching thing was the long red scarf, which was similar to the one Mikasa wore, and also this scarf covered the lower part of her face, which made it impossible to see her mouth.
"Are you Miaya? Yes?" - She only nodded at my question. "You're not talkative, are you?"
*Nod*
"Okay." - I said a little strangely. "How many classes do you have today?"
"Four," she pointed four fingers on her hand.
"Okay. After you're done with class, wait for me before you go out, I need to talk to you."
*Nod*
"Okay." - I realized she wasn't verbose.
*Nod*
After our ambiguous conversation, I walked out of the classroom while saying goodbye to Kazuhiro-san and walked towards my class. I didn't expect my new and only co-worker to be kuudere, though I don't know if it can be attributed to characters that don't speak at all. But I think even she might be able to revive my...or already our lab. After returning to my classroom and answering all of Chisa questions, I waited for one more class.
After class I said goodbye to my classmates and told them to wait in the lab for the trio, I went to the first floor. Coming down to it and not seeing the one I wanted, I leaned against the wall and waited.
I wouldn't say I waited too long, no wonder a freshman can't find his way out quickly after all the layout of the stairs here is too weird, it wasn't more than 10 minutes when I finally saw Mia, but as weird as it sounds, I only saw her after I opened my eyes, I was not sure how long she stood in front of me and stared at me. I still hoped she would at least touch me to alert me to her presence, but there was nothing wrong with that, so.
"Okay." - I said, pushing off the wall. "Let's go for a ride I want to offer you something."
*Nod*
We walked to the little park that was on the grounds of the academy while trying to talk to her a little bit, but I couldn't get a word out of her, so the only thing I had to do was ask her questions with only "Yes" and "No" answers, but I think even that was interesting and at least a little, but informative.
"So." - I began the main topic of conversation when we reached the center of the park, where the fountain was. "My name is Yasuke Matsuda. I am an 'Ultimate Physician' and because of that I was admitted to the academy at such an early age, and along with that the reins of the Hope Peak Medical Department came to me and to become its head and up to this point I was the only student with medical Ultimates, so it is rather logical to assume that I want to invite you to join me."
*Nod*
"Agreed?" - I interrogated her answer.
*Nod*
"Okay." - I said the word I feel like I'll be saying even more often. "Let me explain to you what we're going to do and how it's going to happen as we walk towards the lab."
There was basically nothing to say, so I just made admonitions about studying at the academy and that if she needed anything or needed help, she should come to me. With about nothing to talk about, we reached my lab building, and I opened the door letting Miah go ahead.
"I'll go to the clerk's office tomorrow morning and ask for a pass for you." - I said, realizing I couldn't open the door for her all the time.
*Nod*
"Come on, I'll show you around." - I said.
After that I took a little tour of the whole building while omitting one of the rooms from which sounds were heard, but at the end of my tour, though, we went in the direction of that room for introductions.
"You don't have to pay much attention to them." - I said, opening the door. "They're here sometimes, or rather always here."
*Nod*
"That guy over there, sprawled out in the chair, looking like a pig and covered in crumbs, Juzo Sakakura." - I pointed to Juzo, who was sitting in a chair holding a gamepad in one hand, a sandwich in the other hand with crumbs falling off it.
"HEY!" - he said, shaking off the crumbs and throwing the sandwich at me, which I dodged.
"The girl who started cleaning up the crumbs after him is Chisa Yukizome." - I pointed to Chisa, who, as always, shows that cleanliness is her middle name.
"Hi!" - said Chisa, who was quick to deal with Juzo porkiness.
*Nod*-as I understand it said hello to Miaya.
"That guy left on the couch, Kyosuke Munakata." - I pointed to Kyosuke, who looked the most normal-looking guy here. "Well and basically we are your sempai, so if you need help and can't find me, you can go to them."
*Nod.*
"Let's go get to know you all better."
The introductions went surprisingly well and even Juzo didn't try to hit her once, so we parted in a pleasant mood. As I left, I noticed Miaya walking toward the dorms with the trio. I guess they'll get along.
