[1st POV]
"Get lost, not in the mood," she said without even looking up at me. Her face was planted on the table.
"...."
I turned around after a few seconds and walked away. I grumbled in my mind, thinking about how I let my impulsive nature get the better of me.
"Wait a minute," I heard a yell behind me only after I took a few steps.
She released an exaggerated sigh as I turned around.
"Sorry, as you saw, my first boyfriend just dumped me and I am not in a really good mood," she explained herself.
"What do you want?" she asked, crossing her legs like a carefree thug while her cat eyes narrowed on me.
'She's kind of cute,' was my first thought. I tilted my head and gazed at her with a hidden amused smile.
It was not just her appearance that was cute, her behavior and her carefree attitude was a stark contrast to what I would expect from a girl. She gave off major bro vibes.
"...."
"So?" she raised her eyebrow, "Don't tell me you had nothing to say,"
"You told me off the first time. Now I'm wondering if I should even talk to you at all," I said.
It was a dumb sentence but the truth was, I had nothing else to say. My intention was to introduce myself, say that I knew her from school and ask if I could sit with her. Then hopefully things would move on by itself and then we'd be acquaintance by the end.
But the fact that she rejected me the first time broke all the mood and momentum.
"No way, are you that type of guy? Get lost then, I'm not so interested in what you have to say either," she barked at me.
My aim was to make a good impression but at this point, she would end up hating me or disliking me. I took in slow breath and rubbed the back of my head, trying my best to think of a way to save the situation.
She was maybe two years younger than me. I was in my last year of highschool before I was transported into this world. It was like talking to a junior so I was not nervous by all means.
I was just not that great at talking to girls.
"Sorry, I didn't mean that," I said, bowing my head a little to show the sincerity behind my words.
"I'm an awkward guy," I said.
I watched as her whole body froze when I said the line. One thing I knew about Momo which I could use to my advantage was that she was extremely down bad for the actor Ken Takakura.
"I don't know if you know me but we go to the same highscool. I thought it would be a good idea if I came and introduced myself. Maybe keep you company since you looked upset from what just happened," I said, my voice naturally came out a little awkward but I was not stuttering.
"Again, I'm sorry if I made you upset, I really was just trying to be nice,"
She was still not responding to me. Her mind still seemed to linger on the famous line said by her favourite actor.
"Anyways, my name is Ken Takakura," I said and put out my hand.
In response, Momo slammed the table and stood up, She yelled louder than when she yelled at her boyfriend.
"No way that's your name!!"
I almost flinch back due to her sudden explosion.
"It is, my name is Ken Takakura," I said.
"Proof, I need proof!! I wouldn't believe you otherwise," she demanded.
It felt weird that I had to prove my own name but I didn't mind. I took out my wallet and gave her my school ID.
She snatched the card away from my hand. In return for her rude action, I took a seat opposite her without being invited. It was the same seat where her trash boyfriend sat.
"No way, you are really Ken Takakura," Momo said and slumped to her seat. Her eyes were still glued on the card, reading the name again and again as if the name would change if she read enough.
"And class 1 D huh, I don't know anyone from that class," she said and handed back my card.
"You might know Fujita, dark purple hair, footballer, quite popular amongst the girls," I said.
"Doesn't ring a bell," she replied.
I smiled, "Well, I suppose that is also good,"
She stayed silent after that. I could almost see the thoughts swirling in her mind. I did not mind the silence and waited for her to get over my name.
"Argh, what kind of stupid parents name their son Ken Takakura! Don't they know that that name's taken already?" she said.
I would've taken offence if I loved my parents but I really didn't. They were assholes who left their son alone in Japan while they live overseas.
My mother was dead when I was just a small boy and my father remarried a foreigner. Now they are living in America, my stepmom did not want me in the new family so my father put me here in Japan alone.
I was a past my father wanted to hide from his new family.
...
'Well, those are Okarun's parents, not mine,' I told myself in my mind.
"Sorry," Momo apologized, reading my silence to come to the conclusion that she had said something she shouldn't have.
"Don't be. I have stupid parents," I said.
"At least you have them," Momo said softly when she read my mood.
"My name is Momo Ayayse," she finally introduced herself.
"You got a delicious name," I said. She quirked a grin at the unusual compliment.
"So..." I started and dragged the word, "Can I eat with you?"
She did not answer immediately and gave me a long stare before she said.
"Sure, you're cool," she said.
"Great, now let me get my fried rice," I said and went back to my table to get my fried rice. I still had a few left and I'd be damned if I didn't finish everything.
Nothing significant happened after that. Like I expected, Momo turned out to be quite an easy girl to get along with. We spent the time talking about school, complaining to each other about the homework and the big portions.
We also discussed about our favorite subjects, teachers etc. Our conversation skirted everything students would discuss with each other.
Our time together was not even that long. It was only about fifteen minutes before Momo finished her food and we left the restaurant.
But like I hoped, I think this was the beginning of our friendship.

[3rs POV]
"Get yourself together!!" Momo scolded herself before she slapped her cheeks.
"No way I was flustered just from hearing his name, How down bad can I be?!" she said, getting some looks as she was not holding back her voice and she was walking home alone.
Momo Ayase was not one to care about other people though. She never liked limiting herself for the sake of looking good to others. You get what she truly was and if you didn't like her, then that's fine. She probably didn't like you either.
"But he also said the line, and his behaviour was so similar to Ken Takakura, Argh!!" she said to herself.
It was like fate was playing tricks on her. She got together with her current boyfriend because he looked like Ken Takakura even though he was nothing like him in character.
But the boy she just met looked nothing like Ken Takakaura but he had the same name, voice and behavior as her favourite actor.
Then again, she would need to look for him at school tomorrow to make sure. The time they spent together was only around half an hour.
