The days at sea were honestly quite relaxed compared to the first night the four had boarded, but of course the chaos never truly died down.

Whether it was Wūsé arguing with Tóuyīng, Wūsé arguing with Zhang, or just any other of the crew members fighting over something that day the Second Princess of the Long Clan almost always took it upon herself to resolve or break up the parties.

On the last night of the trip, Mei Lián found herself standing alone on the bow of the ship as she closed her eyes and relished in the cool sea breeze that blew across her skin.

"Man, I love my children, but they are such a headache!" the woman groaned as she draped herself over the wooden railing, the distant sound of yelling making its way up to her ears.

'Should I just jump and get swimming?' she thought as she gazed down at the darkened waters, 'I mean we're only a few hours away, I could easily swim there from here.'
