Two Great Sects And One Pavilion

At a dark hall in an undisclosed location, three people could be seen sitting on a round table. There where two men and one woman.

They all seemed to be in their middle ages, except the woman who looked extremely young.

Among the two middle aged men, one wore Scarlett robes and had gentle feature along with a goat like beard, the other middle aged man was in all white robes.

The man in white robes looked calm and seemed like an easy going person. He held a paper fan in his left hands as he gently fanned himself.

The woman on the other hand looked as beautiful as a goddess in her sky blue robes and long blonde hair.

These three were the most powerful people in the lower realm, they were the leaders of the three-and-a-half-star sect's in the region, commonly referred to us the big three.

Surprisingly, these sects all hailed from the immortal empire.

This three powers were refered to us the two sects and one pavilion.

The gentle looking man in scarlet robes was the sect master of the Scarlet Fire Sect.

The calm and easy going man in white robes was the sect master of the Heavenly Temple Sect.

The beautiful goddess is sky blue robes was the pavilion mistress of the Snow Flower Pavilion.

They were all at the fourth stage of the Immortal King realm, they stood at the top of the hierarchy and looked down on everyone else.

Together this powers were called the big three.

"That old foggy sure is generous, he's willing to give us control over all the immortal empire territories, except the capital and domain.

He's also promised to give us seventy five percent of the resources in the empire, I think this is a good deal.

Now all we have to do for such great benefits it's to make sure that the United Imperials don't try anything funny after the imperial clan is destroyed.

This won't be hard since the Moonshade Sect has the justification... This should be rather easy to deal with"

Sect leader Sun of the Heavenly Temple Sect slowly said as he fanned himself gently.

"I overestimated the Grand General, I thought he was quite an extraordinary man and even thought of recruiting him to my Scarlet Fire Sect, but turns out he's an arrogant fool who overestimates his own strength.

Did he really believe he could go up against a sect like that?" Sect leader Wang of the Scarlet Fire Sect said gently, almost as if he was correcting a child.

Sect leader Sun nodded in agreement, Gu Shang deserved everything that was happening to him.

"Pavilion mistress, what do you think?" Sect leader Sun asked.

"I've been keeping my eyes on that boy and I thi..." Before she could finish her statement, she stopped and looked at the expressions of the two sect leaders.

They all looked at her with strange and judging looks, "Pavilion mistress, I didn't know you like them young. For your age shouldn't you go for men like me" Sect leader Sun said confidently as he fanned himself.

"He's indeed right, that young brat can't satisfy you, only..." Sect leader Wang was about to add, but stopped midway after seeing the pavilion mistress cold expression.

"It's not what you are thinking, I had my eyes on him because I was planning to recruit him and make him my indirect disciple on behalf of a request one of my holy maidens made a few years ago.

That boy isn't ordinary as you think, he's a General who has been able to ensure seven years of peace and stability in the empire, enemies tremble at the mention of his name.

He's also reformed the empire's military making it unrecognizable.

Right now, nobody knows the strength of the empire's military, not even our spies and the emperor has been able to grasp the full strength of the army.

This is one of the main reasons why the surrounding empires don't dare to attack the empire.

He's also established a secret network called the heavens eye, non of his enemies moves are a secret anymore, that is how scary the heavens eye is.

Now tell me, do you really think that a man with all this achievements would be suicidal?" The pavilion mistress asked in a cold and icy voice.

There's something fishy about the whole situation but I can't put my hands on it, I believe we should wait and observe for now" She ended her statement.

The two sect leaders glanced at each other and nodded, they didn't really rate Gu Shang. They knew it would be impossible for him to win with that measley number of soldiers at his command.

Besides whether Gu Shang lost or won didn't matter to them, so there was no problem waiting for a bit.

Their only job was to clean up the mess that was about to happen, even if they delayed it for a while, no one would dare to say anything about it.

As they were just about to leave, an old man arrived in the dark hall and bowed.

"Greetings to the great leaders and pavilion mistress!

I bring news from the sleeping serpent pass" the old man said.

"Oh, the Moonshade Sect have wrapped things up already? that was quicker than expected" Sect leader Sun said.

"Of course they did, was there ever a doubt" Sect leader Wang said taunting as he looked at the pavilion mistress with a gentle teasing face.

"No my lords, that's not what am here to report. Things have taken a twisting turn at the battlefield which has spread across the entire empire in just a few hours.

It appears that, the Alliance of Sects can't save the Moonshade Sect from the United Imperial"

"What do you mean by that?" Sect leader Wang asked.

"It's been proven that the Moonshade Sect justification for attacking the domain was something they cooked up, they spread the rumors of the threat themselves.

Those who were paid to do so has come out to confess. According to the Moonshade Sect, the only witness at the scene is dead.

This means they.."

"You don't have to say it" Sect leader Sun said.

"The Moonshade Sect has no justification to back their attack on the domain, the United Imperials would attack them very soon and we'll have no way to save them" he continued grimly.

"We should order them to stop their attack now, before it's too late" The pavilion mistress suggested.

Another middle aged woman entered the hall and bowed.

"The battle has already ended!" The woman reported whiles gasping for breath. She had rushed over here from the frontline.

"So are the Moonshade Sect forces advancing to the domain already" sect leader Wang asked.

"No your excellency" the middle aged woman replied.

"They won't be heading to the domain anytime soon because they've been completely crushed by the Purple Qilin Cavalry.

All 300,000 forces of the Moonshade Sect were brutally crushed at the battle, they couldn't even cause any significant damages to the cavalry.
