Yueyue Feels Wronged

"Let me wash your hair," Ren said softly, grabbing the shampoo and talking to Jada.

"Okay." Jada brought over a small stool and sat down, waiting for Ren's next move.

"Close your eyes, or the shampoo might get in them," Ren warned as he squirted some shampoo into his hand, lathered it up, and began gently massaging it into Jada's hair.

Jada closed her eyes, enjoying Ren's gentle touch, which felt almost like a massage. It was very soothing.

But soon, Jada began to feel something was off.

"Ren, where are your hands going?" Jada's face turned red as she felt one of Ren's hands on her well-developed chest, pressing down and making her feel a bit short of breath.

"It's where our baby gets his nutrition, so it needs to be clean," Ren's voice said from behind her. Suddenly, his head was nestled between her breasts.

"What are you doing? I thought we were just washing up!" Jada opened her eyes in embarrassment.

Ren looked up and smiled at her. "Don't worry, I know. I'm just helping you wash up. How about you help me wash my face with some cleanser?"

---

Meanwhile, Yueyue was diligently watching over her baby brother as Ren helped Jada bathe. She sat on a small chair, hands cupping her chin, staring at the crib.

To her, the baby looked so cute, with his tiny head, little hands, chubby cheeks, and white, smooth skin—just like a little porcelain doll.

"If only I could dress him in all the cute clothes," Yueyue thought. "He would look even prettier!"

She watched him sleep peacefully, a slight smile on his face, making her inexplicably happy.

"I wish I could play with him," Yueyue whispered. "Grow up quickly, little brother."

But her baby brother was still too small, unable to talk or move much.

Then, Yueyue remembered her conversation with her friends at school and looked around, making sure her parents were still in the bathroom. She tiptoed back to the crib, looking down at her sleeping brother.

"Can I hold him? Just for a little bit? He shouldn't wake up, and Mom and Dad won't know since they're still in the bathroom…"

After a moment's hesitation, Yueyue couldn't resist. She gently reached through the crib bars, recalling how her mother held the baby, and carefully lifted him.

Her brother didn't react, making her sigh in relief.

With excitement in her eyes, Yueyue managed to lift her brother out of the crib, but she quickly realized he was heavier than she expected.

"Mom makes it look so easy," she thought, her arms aching.

Still, determined, she tried to step down from the chair, saying, "See? It's easy! Mom and Dad just worry too—whoa!"

Already unsteady, Yueyue lost her balance and fell, clutching her brother tightly to protect him.

"Thud!"

"Ow, ow, ow." Yueyue rubbed her sore bottom, wincing.

Unfortunately, the commotion woke the baby, who started crying loudly.

"Shh, don't cry…"

Sleeping babies were adorable, but crying babies were a different story. Yueyue was afraid of her brother crying uncontrollably.

"What happened?" came the sound of footsteps down the hallway—Ren and Jada had heard the baby crying.

They rushed in to find Yueyue on the floor and the baby in her arms, crying.

"What happened? Didn't we tell you not to wake the baby?" Jada hurried over, picking up and soothing the baby.

Ren added, "And why did you take him out of the crib? What if he fell?"

"But the baby didn't fall, I—" Yueyue tried to explain but was cut off by Ren.

"Enough, just don't do it again."

"But I—" Yueyue wanted to say she had cushioned the fall, and her bottom was sore, but seeing her parents fuss over the baby, she fell silent.

Feeling wronged, she hugged Little White and slowly walked to the door, looking back at her parents and the baby, pouting as she left the room.

"Phew, that was scary," Jada said that night, lying in bed and looking at the sleeping baby in the crib.

She was still shaken by the thought of what could have happened if Yueyue had dropped the baby.

"Come on, Yueyue didn't mean any harm," Ren tried to comfort Jada. "She loves the baby so much. You don't let her hold him, so it's no wonder she tried on her own. You should have seen her face when she walked out—she looked so scared."

"Do you think you're a good father?" Jada glared at Ren. "I don't want to blame her, but newborns are so fragile."

"Alright, alright, you're the good mom, and I'm the bad dad," Ren said, kissing Jada on the cheek. "Now, let's sleep. We don't want to wake the baby."

"Okay…"
