The Cursed Speaker

Aaron sat in the center of his room, the floating pillow from earlier finally setting down on his arms gently. As he pondered the peculiar energy he had been manipulating, a sudden realization hit him with clarity.

'This ability… it's like Toge Inumaki's from Jujutsu Kaisen. His power involves speaking cursed words to control things. That's exactly what I'm doing,' he thought, a spark of excitement in his eyes.

He glanced at the mirror, noting his blue eyes. 'So, they're just regular,' he acknowledged. 'No special powers there, just a coincidence.' Though a bit let down, he quickly refocused on the matter at hand.

'What matters now is mastering this Cursed Speech ability. If I can influence objects with my words, I need to figure out how to control it effectively. How far can this go?'

'So, it's like Toge's power,' Aaron mused, glancing at his reflection in the mirror. 'He has the "Snake Eyes and Fangs" seal on his tongue and around his mouth, which lets him infuse his words with cursed energy. That makes sense—my power seems to work in a similar way.'

He recalled Toge's abilities from the anime. 'Toge can command both living beings and objects with his words. The stronger the command, the more it takes out of him. Weaker curses can be dealt with without too much backlash, but against stronger opponents, even his less powerful commands drain him significantly.'

Aaron's thoughts turned to the practical applications of his power. 'If Toge's words can influence both people and objects, what about me? I can already move things with my voice. Could I use this power to control more complex interactions, or even defend myself?'

He paced around his room, ideas flowing rapidly. 'Toge uses his ability with precision and care. He can project his commands over distances with communication devices, but for me, the range and effectiveness are something I need to test.'

His excitement grew as he imagined the possibilities. 'I could potentially use my power to create barriers or manipulate environments. If Toge can project his influence through amplifiers, maybe I can find ways to extend my control, too.'

Aaron stopped, a thoughtful expression on his face. 'There's a lot to consider. I need to understand how my commands affect different objects and beings. What's the limit of my power? Can I handle more demanding commands without exhausting myself?'

He took a deep breath, focusing on the tasks ahead. 'First, I'll experiment with simple commands and see how well I can control objects. Then, I'll test how my power reacts with living beings and see if I can push it further.'

His determination was palpable as he prepared to delve into his training. 'I need to start small, understand the nuances of my Cursed Speaker ability, and gradually explore its full potential. This power has limits, but also great potential.'

Aaron smiled to himself, ready to embrace the challenge. 'This is just the beginning. With each experiment, I'll get closer to mastering my abilities and discovering what I can truly achieve.'

Aaron was deep in thought when he heard a soft knock on his door. The nurse, always attentive, peeked in with a concerned look.

"Everything alright in here?" she asked, noticing the scattered objects and the pillow floating gently. "I heard some shouting."

Aaron quickly put on a casual smile, trying to play it cool. "Oh, just got a bit carried away with some… personal training. Nothing to worry about."

The nurse raised an eyebrow but seemed to accept his explanation. "Well, it's almost dinner time. How about joining us for a meal? It might help you relax."

Aaron's stomach rumbled at the mention of food. "Sure, that sounds good. Thanks!"

After the nurse left, Aaron turned his thoughts back to his new abilities. He realized he needed a more suitable place to test his powers without drawing too much attention.

'Alright, I need to figure out a better space for training,' he thought, making a mental list. 'This room's fine for basic stuff, but I need somewhere larger and more private for real experiments.'

He began to plan, considering options like secluded areas within the orphanage, or perhaps finding an empty space outside. 'Maybe there's a storage room or an unused building nearby. I could also scout for a spot in the woods where I won't be disturbed.'

Aaron's excitement was tempered by the practicality of his situation. 'I need to find a place where I can test the limits of my power without risking anyone's safety or drawing unwanted attention. It has to be secure and spacious.'

With a determined nod, Aaron set his plans in motion. 'Tomorrow, I'll start looking for the right location. For now, I'll enjoy dinner and be ready for the new challenges ahead.'

[Next Day]

After asking and pestering a bit to get some fresh air, he goes out with his hoodie tightly around him, hoping it would help him blend into the background. He ventured outside, strolling through the familiar streets of the orphanage's neighborhood. His goal was to find a secluded place where he could test his powers without attracting attention.

After some aimless wandering, he found himself in the less-traveled part of town. The New York back alleys seemed to promise the privacy he needed, though they came with their own risks. 'Alright, this might be a bit sketchy, but it's worth a shot,' he thought, glancing around to ensure no one was watching.

He continued down one particularly dim alley, littered with discarded boxes and overgrown weeds. His footsteps echoed softly, the only sound in the otherwise quiet area. 'Okay, let's see if there's anything here I can use.'

Just as he was about to turn back, he noticed a shadowy structure at the end of the alley. It looked like an old warehouse, its once-proud façade now crumbling and covered in layers of grime and graffiti. The windows were boarded up, and the door hung slightly ajar.

'That looks perfect,' Aaron thought, his heart quickening. 'Abandoned and secluded. I'll check it out.'

He approached the building cautiously, peering around to make sure he wasn't being followed. As he neared the door, he saw that it had a rusty padlock, but it was hanging loosely. He gave the door a gentle push, and it creaked open with a groan.

Inside, the space was vast but in disrepair. Dust motes floated in the shafts of light that pierced through gaps in the boarded-up windows. Old wooden beams crisscrossed the ceiling, and the floor was covered in debris and scattered junk. Broken pallets and empty crates were strewn about.

'This place is perfect for what I need,' Aaron thought, taking a cautious step inside. He pulled his hoodie lower, covering his head and face as much as possible. 'I'll be out of sight here, and there's enough space to test things out without causing a scene.'

He carefully made his way further into the building, his eyes scanning the area for a suitable spot to begin his experiments. The silence of the abandoned structure was oddly comforting, a stark contrast to the bustling streets outside.

'Alright, let's find a clear area,' he mused, navigating through the clutter. 'Somewhere with enough room to move around and test different commands. This place should work well.'

Finding a relatively clear patch of floor, Aaron set down his backpack and took a deep breath. 'Time to get to work. Let's see what this Cursed Speaker can really do.'

With a final check to ensure the building remained undisturbed, Aaron began preparing for his first real test of the power he was eager to master.

Inside the abandoned building, Aaron took a moment to center himself. He closed his eyes and focused on the sensation of cursed energy flowing through his body. He could feel it surging and pooling, especially around his tongue where the energy seemed to gather most intensely.

'Alright, let's start by getting a better handle on this,' he thought, his mind concentrating on the familiar tingly sensation at the tip of his tongue. 'I need to be aware of how this energy feels and how it affects my commands.'

He opened his eyes and scanned the room, his gaze landing on an old, weathered chair sitting at the far end of the space. It was in rough shape, with faded upholstery and creaky wooden legs.

'That chair should be a good test,' Aaron decided, stepping closer to it. 'It's old and fragile, so it should be a good indicator of how effective my commands are.'

He took a deep breath and visualized the energy concentrating around his tongue. 'Here goes nothing,' he thought, focusing intently on the chair. "Break." He declares.

He spoke the command clearly, infusing his words with the cursed energy he had gathered. Instantly, the chair responded. Its legs and joints gave out, and with a series of loud creaks and splintering sounds, it broke down into pieces. The wooden parts fell apart, scattering across the floor in a disarray of broken limbs and splinters.

Aaron watched with wide eyes, a mixture of excitement and relief flooding through him. 'It worked!' he thought, stepping forward to examine the remnants of the chair. 'The command was clear, and the chair fell apart just as I wanted.'

He felt a thrill of success. 'I'm really controlling things with my words. This Cursed Speaker power is starting to come together.'

He took another deep breath, preparing himself for the next step in his experimentation. 'Let's see how far I can push this.'

Aaron moved to a new spot, ready to explore the full range of his abilities and eager to test the limits of his power.

But just then the old door of the house creaked open and came a rough voice through, "Huh! you didn't told me you had a kid in here".
