Sky Hall

Outside the hospital, Khal and Liza were walking next to each other in silence, deep in their own thoughts.

After walking like that for a small while, suddenly Liza turned to look at Khal and asked, "Back then... Why did you say that to Carter? I mean, why did you lie?"

Glancing back at Liza Khal instead of answering her, he put his hand into his pocket and said, "Look at this."

Taking out the ring from his pocket which he obtained from the assassin, he gave it to Liza.

Liza seeing the ring looked quite confused, but the moment she recognized the symbol her face instantly turned shocked.

"This is the Ourvi Family's symbol? But how? Where did you find this?"

"Just what I have thought.", murmured Khal quietly and after taking back the ring from Liza he started to explain, "Just as I fell unconscious, I have found this ring in the assassin's pouch, so I took it away."

"So this means...", started to say Liza, but she knew what that exactly meant.

"Yes, it means that the two who have tried to assassinate us were from the Ourvi family. However, it is not a surprise at all. Just like Nate said before, the Ourvi Family would truly do anything just to get rid of those who won't obey them. It seems they have sent those assassins because I have 'hurt' Alde."

Liza hearing this looked stupified, but a single second later her expression turned maddened instantly.

"So the ones who killed Mary were..."

"Were them.", said Khal calmly and looked at the ring in his hand.

"Well, it was quite obvious, so I am not so surprised at all.", thought Khal calmly and clenched his palm into a fist.

Thinking back on all the things that happened with him in such a short amount of time, he looked at the bracelet on his wrist and looked terrifyingly calm.

"I don't know what this thing truly is, but one thing is for sure. I finally have the power to protect whatever I want!", thought Khal and glanced at Liza's angry face, which had extreme sadness below its surface.

After a small while he averted his gaze and thought calmly, " If it weren't for this thing, right now not only me, but even she would have been killed... Just like that time... It all happened because of me, because I thought I am in a new world so I can do anything. But I was wrong! So wrong that it is almost pathetic and as a result, an innocent soul has been murdered! But now... With this thing... I won't make the same mistake twice!"

With that solid thought in mind, Khal continued to walk forward, but suddenly Liza grabbed his hand from the side, making him stop walking.

"Eh? Did something happen?", asked Khal with a slight raise of his eyebrow as he looked at Liza.

Liza glancing to the side started to murmur something quietly, but after a small while, she asked, "Umm... I'm not sure how to ask this... But how did you obtain a Cultivation Talent?"

The moment Khal heard this, his whole body froze up instantly. He forgot the most important thing currently, which was the moment he needed to explain himself to Liza.

Seeing that he was staying silent, Liza started to stare deeper into Khal's eyes, making him start sweating instantly.

"I... Umm... To tell the truth, I don't know either. The only thing I could remember was that one time I had no Talent, then the next moment I had. I am still confused currently, so if you can give me a bit of time, I will be sure to tell you."

Hearing what Khal said, Liza squinted her eyes with suspicion, but after a small while, she could just sigh and step back a few meters.

"Well, never mind. The main point here is that you are no longer Cultivation Talentless. Like this, both of us can go and obtain our Cultivator's Badge and roll into Moon Academy!"

"Huh?"

The moment Khal heard this he looked quite confused. Because of the small amount of time he spent in this world, the pieces of information he currently knew about things were extremely small.

It could be said it was close to nill.

Yet even like this he just nodded and said, "Yeah, let's go now and get our Badget."

"Eh? Now?", asked Liza with surprise and looked up at the sky.

Seeing that it was still before sunset, she looked at Khal and said, "Well, it seems we still have time, so I guess why not?"

"Perfect!", said Khal with a smile, but still let Liza to show the way toward the place where he will be able to obtain that so-called Cultivator's Badge of his.

***

Walking for close to 15 minutes in sheer silence, the two kids finally arrived before a huge building.

The establishment was quite far away from the Realm Pillar, which was barely visible because of its blurry appearance.

It was extremely huge, almost 100 meters in height, yet this size was extremely tiny in contrast to the Realm Pillar in the distance.

Khal noticed that the construction was visibly made out of a material that looked like white jade, yet its surface was giving off a feeling that it was made out of well-refined metal.

After examining the outer part for a while, Khal noticed the huge symbol on the top of the building, which was exactly the same as that was on Carter's robe back in the hospital.

"The Cultivator's Organization. We don't really have time to waste, so let's go inside.", said Liza and after grabbing Khal's hand she started to walk toward the entrance hurriedly.

However, the moment Khal stepped inside the huge building everything before his eyes changed in one go.

Colorful trees, bushes, and small lakes all around the place could be seen, while above their heads, a beautiful clear night sky was flowing around gently.

While Khal was mesmerized by this sight, suddenly a voice came from the side.

"Welcome to the Cultivator's Organization! My name is Noelle and I will be your assistant. How can I be a help to the two of you?"

The moment they walked in, a woman in a silverish-white robe walked before them and bowed slightly with a gentle smile on her face.

Liza hearing this bowed too, and said instantly, "We would like to take the test to obtain our Cultivator's Badge."

The moment the woman heard this she looked quite surprised. The reason why was because those who have come for a Badge were already here about a week ago, so to come for one right now was quite surprising.

But still, her surprise vanished after a small while, and with the same gentle smile as before, she answered, "Naturally. Please follow me."

Khal and Liza started to follow Noelle from behind in silence and soon enough, they have arrived before a small door.

Turning around Noelle looked at the two calmly and started to talk.

"On the other side of this door, you will find yourselves in the Sky Hall. In there, the only thing you need to do is to follow the instructions, and you will be able to obtain your Cultivator's Badge in no time."

After Noelle finished talking, she glanced at the two with a gentle smile and asked, "So? Which one of you want to go in first?"
