Captain Rhysand threw the vines wrapped around his wrist on the soil.
A greenish glow suddenly lit his body, and the vines were affected, transforming into thicker ones that grew to the size of a towering tree.
With great effort, Rhysand controlled the vines to slam against the energy barrier.
His logic was simple. The barrier had absorbed the flame energy from earlier. Could it also absorb a physical attack like this one?
Unfortunately for him, his little experiment was bound to fail.
As soon as the vines made contact with the energy barrier, they disintegrated. As Rhysand was controlling them prior, he stumbled backwards as he suffered a backlash.
"Captain," several of Rhysand's squad members came forward and patted his back, the same greenish glow exuding from their hands. In a while, Rhysand's condition stabilized.
