ESCAPE

My eyes staying frozen on the clock as it ticked by, I waited until it was 11pm before I slowly got out of bed, making my way out of my room and down the stairs, I headed straight for the exit door. I didn’t care too much if someone saw me as they knew I was going in and out of the castle, maybe it wasn’t too wise to do it an hour before my wedding but it was dark and all of the people were busy doing preparations, so it was the perfect time to be invisible.

Holding my dress so I don’t trip over it, I ran out into the silence of the woods with my bare foot, the sole of my feet digging into the rough grass as I started to run, the moon being the only thing to light my path, I followed whatever I could see, passing trees after trees.
