Creating My Own Army (on hold)

[Current World: Naruto] This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) of Earth, where kingdoms still exist. The main character (MC) is the youngest war general due to a conflict with a more powerful kingdom. After dying in battle, the MC is offered a unique opportunity: a job that involves fighting monsters and armies. This position comes with two options—if they accept, they will gain power by going through trials; otherwise, they can choose to ascend to heaven or be reincarnated into their original world once again 1. Please note, this is not a harem story. I attempted to create one in my first fanfiction but struggled to find a plausible way to introduce such dynamics. Additionally, after reading numerous harem stories, while I don’t dislike the concept itself, the justifications provided in those narratives often felt contrived and unconvincing—for example, "He’s so strong, I need sisters," or "He’s the last of his clan, so he needs multiple wives." These reasons simply didn't resonate with me. Therefore, if romance becomes part of this story, it will feature a single pairing rather than a harem setup. Disclaimer: I do not own the Naruto world or any of its characters. My story only includes an original character (OC). Furthermore, I do not claim ownership of the cover picture used for this work. If the rightful owner wishes for it to be removed, please contact me.

Orochimaru (Fixed)

[Inside Orochimaru's Lair]

In a dimly lit room deep within Orochimaru's lair, two figures stood locked in an intense argument.

Kabuto: "Orochimaru-sama, is this truly necessary? Summoning the First and Second Hokage for something like this—what aren't you telling me? You've been unusually on edge these past few days."

Orochimaru, visibly anxious, scanned the area around him, searching for any signs of hidden enemies. His voice carried a rare note of concern: "Listen, boy. Madara left days ago to retrieve the Rinnegan alongside an army from the Uchiha clan under their new leader—but neither he nor his forces returned. The spy I sent to monitor the battle perished as well. The last message he managed to send through one of my snakes spoke only of a massacre. Worse still, I later discovered that the snake itself was followed."

Kabuto's eyes widened in shock as realization dawned upon him. If what Orochimaru said was true, they were likely next on the Uchiha clan's list. Given the sheer number of kidnappings and experiments Orochimaru had conducted on members of the Uchiha clan over the years, it didn't take much imagination to predict how this confrontation would end—for either him or his master.

Before Kabuto could respond, three presences materialized out of thin air behind them. Kabuto froze, paralyzed by fear. Orochimaru, however, reacted instantly, beginning the ritual for Impure World Reincarnation , summoning the First and Second Hokages without hesitation.

[Ajamu POV]

I teleported us directly into Orochimaru's location using my space element control—a technique akin to teleporting to my shadows. Sensing his presence beforehand allowed me to pinpoint his exact coordinates and bypass the labyrinthine defenses of his hideout.

Upon arrival, I observed Orochimaru initiating the Impure World Reincarnation jutsu. Rather than interrupting him, I chose to let the process play out. My reasons were twofold: first, I wanted to witness the seals involved in the technique firsthand; second, I was curious whether reviving someone already summoned via Impure World Reincarnation would prove easier or harder than summoning them anew.

The First Hokage emerged clad in his iconic attire—a tall man with tanned skin, waist-length black hair styled in a center-parted fringe, and dark eyes. He wore the standard shinobi dress of his era: dark red armor over a simple black suit, complete with sandals. Each shoulder guard bore the Senju symbol, marking him as the founder of Konoha.

Beside him stood Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage. Fair-skinned with shaggy silver hair and piercing red eyes (as depicted in the anime), he bore three distinctive red markings—one beneath each eye and another on his chin. In combat gear, he donned blue armor adorned with a white fur collar over a sleek black suit. Multiple protective guards lined his body, complemented by extra shoulder plates and traditional sandals. A happuri replaced the conventional forehead protector, signifying his rank.

Once Orochimaru completed the ritual, both Hashirama and Tobirama turned to face us. While they retained their personalities, confusion and surprise flickered across their faces. However, unlike Hashirama, who seemed relaxed, Tobirama's expression betrayed a hint of fear at the sight of Madara standing behind me.

Orochimaru, snapping out of his initial shock, attempted to activate his control over the resurrected Hokages. But before he could act, I intervened. Setting fire to his face with Amaterasu , I neutralized his ability to command the situation. After all, if you want to kill a snake, you cut off its head. I knew Orochimaru had safeguarded himself somewhat by embedding fragments of his soul into the cursed seals he distributed among his followers—including Sasuke and Anko—but those seals were mere prototypes at this stage. For now, his primary escape route lay in his forbidden technique to transfer consciousness into other bodies.

Predictably, Orochimaru morphed into a snake and shed his charred skin to extinguish the flames. Yet, the effort appeared to drain him significantly. Seizing the opportunity, I signaled Madara and Obito to keep the First and Second Hokages occupied while I dealt with Orochimaru personally.

Teleporting directly to him, I utilized the Hyūga clan's gentle fist style to seal all his chakra points, rendering him incapable of casting further jutsu. With precision, I drove my blade vertically through his skull and into his torso, waiting for the system notification confirming his death. When no such message appeared, I used my enhanced senses to inspect his body, detecting a faint life source emanating from a finger-sized snake concealed within.

Annoyed, I struck the creature with my lightning-charged blade. Finally, the long-awaited prompt flashed before me:

"RISE."

While I handled Orochimaru, another scene unfolded nearby. The First and Second Hokages paid little heed to the chaos surrounding them. Instead, their attention remained fixed on Madara. Tobirama stood on high alert, ready to strike at a moment's notice, while Hashirama scrutinized Madara as though verifying his authenticity.

It was Madara who broke the silence, his lips curling into a familiar smirk: "Long time no see, Hashirama."

Hashirama's demeanor shifted from cautious curiosity to genuine surprise—and relief. "Madara! It's really you! How are you alive? You weren't summoned by my brother's technique, and you look young… Is this the past?"

Tobirama, ever pragmatic, interjected sharply: "Idiot brother, can you take this seriously?! He might be planning to destroy Konoha—or worse, force us to do it ourselves! To think my own jutsu would be used against me by an Uchiha!"

Hashirama waved off his brother's concerns with characteristic nonchalance. "Come on, Tobirama, relax a bit. We have full control over our bodies, don't we? Besides, the person who summoned us is clearly dealing with the guy behind us. So, Madara, how's life treating you? And why exactly are we here?"

Madara, unfazed by Hashirama's laid-back attitude—as if this were just another casual reunion—replied calmly: "All I know is that we're here to kill a venomous snake." He glanced over his shoulder, pointing toward Orochimaru's defeated form. "Which, it seems, has already been dealt with. As for why I'm alive… I've been called upon to serve my king, and I answered the call."
