So, in the previous chapter, I put pictures of students in the paragraph, but the site shadow-banned them. I did not forget... Anyways, I will put the match-up picture in the paragraph as well, I hope this time site wouldn't fuck up.

"Who!" Katsuki shouted in murder.

"There." Tokage pointed at Todoroki and Katsuki attacked without thinking. Tokage's team sneaked up on them and while Bakugo was attacking like a mad dog, stole Todoroki's headband.

The competition was fierce. Even the strongest two lost their headband in the first minute, but instead of battling aimlessly, they went after others, and soon, it was total mayhem.

"That ends the second phase!" Midnight's declaration ended the battle, and all students looked around. Headbands changed ownership so fast that, no one was sure if they won or not. One thing was certain, Mokami and Momo were still at the top, then who else would pass to the next stage?

"Team Yaoyorozu in the first place!" Midnight said after a while.

"They are not even on the field, how can they win?" Katsuki asked, annoyed.

"Who said, we are not here?" The curtain fell and everyone looked at the sitting duo with their eyes twitching.

"You were hiding there all the time?" Izuku asked in shock.

"Cloaking technology?" Mei asked with her eyes flashing.

"Yes." Momo smiled. "Your crafts are also amazing."

"Hehe, my babies are great." She smiled proudly.

"The second team is Team Tokage! (Mei, Uraraka, Tokage and Ibara.)

Third is Team Bakugo! (Katsuki, Izuku, Shinso, Shoji.)

The fourth is Team Team Reiko! (Itsuka, Toru, Yui, Reiko.)

The fifth is Team Todoroki! (Todoroki, Jiro, Kaminari, Sero.) Since only 16 contenders can participate in the third event, Team Fifth should select two among four. Decide in the next five minutes.

That was cruel for a team that worked so hard to qualify. Especially towards the end, they battled with everything they had and finally secured a headband, but now, they had to choose two.

Todoroki thought he was definitely one. He was the leader and rider and the one who worked hardest.

"Since we three are from 1-A, let's give the other seat to Kaminari. I would want to participate but with Todoroki taking one of the seats, we can only leave it for Kaminari." Jiro said but she was resentful. Todoroki didn't even discuss it and took one of the seats. It was true that he did the most work, but it also meant he had already proven himself. Scouts had already seen what he was capable of, while she and Sero hadn't performed their full capabilities yet.

"Let's go with that," Sero added with disappointment. If he knew, he would join another team.

After they decided, the third and final event started. There was an interlude event, but what the audience was waiting for was the real battle. No matter the age, people loved watching others fight.

"And after that, it is the final event! Sixteen individuals from the five teams have made it through! It's a battle tournament! We're going to have them have a one-on-one battle!"

"Okay, we'll settle the fights by drawing lots."

They drew the lots without wasting any time.

"And those matchups are as follows!"

Shinso vs Izuku

Mokami vs Mei

Reiko vs Todoroki

Uraraka vs Yui

Ibara vs Kaminari

Toru vs Tokage

Shoji vs Katsuki

Momo vs Itsuka

Since there were sixteen individuals, it meant that there were eight matchups.

'Eh, I will encounter Momo at the finals.' Mokami thought in his head. The notion of one of them losing before that? Not even possible.

"The match-ups are decided! The winner of the round moves on to the next!"

"So, this is the elimination rule!" Midnight clapped her hands. "Okay, let the first battle begin!"

As she said that, Cementos appeared and created a square simple platform for others to battle.

Shinso and Izuku were about to climb up to the stage to battle but suddenly a voice reverberated in the opening.

"Please hear me out!" Everyone turned to see Mokami raising his hand.

"What is wrong?" Midnight asked.

"I have already said it, but I would like to repeat," Mokami looked at her, then Nezu, then the audience, "Quirks are as strong as their users, but also how they use the environments for their benefits.

There are many students that cannot use their Quirks on a plain square field, while there are me, Momo, Todoroki, and Bakugo. Our Quirks, no matter what kind of environment, are strong. That would cause an unfair advantage, and I am sure some students with Quirks that cannot be used on such a simple stage would feel wronged.

I suggest the school change the setting of the stage to more favorable, something like a rocky battlefield that would be fair for everyone."

Midnight looked at him for a second, as if she wanted to say something, but then sighed and talked to her earpiece. After a few minutes of discussion, Midnight raised her hand and stated;

"Suggestion accepted and we thank you for allowing us to fairly evaluate all the students. It was a fault we overlooked."

"You are too kind, I am sure you chose a simple stage to above bias, but participants that reached this stage caused this unfairness instead."

The first match was Izuku vs Shinso. Izuku, who was still full of energy after the last stage, was excited to fight again. He wanted to fight against Todoroki and Mokami, but, he was happy to fight against Shinso too since he knew what his ability was.

Izuku and Shinso stood on the new stage. Now, instead of the simple square stage, there was a rocky stage with lots of small and big rocks all around. Some of the rocks were too big, a person could use them to hide from devastating attacks.

Mokami suggested this kind of stage for two reasons; Yui, who could not bring any extra weapon (including pebbles) would be utterly useless in such a stage and how was that fair? Second; He didn't want Todoroki to push people away with one big piece of ice. Power wasn't everything. Using Quirk in a smart way and using the environment was more important than that.

"I'll go first since I'm at a disadvantage." Shinso pointed at himself.

"Okay." Izuku nodded as he threw his headband away.

As the two got ready, Midnight went on to declare the start of the battle. As soon as she did, Izuku felt like losing control of his body.

'How?' He thought in dread. He did answer Shinso's question but it was before the battle, and the latter waited for Midnight to start the battle. There were at least 20 seconds in between.

"Walk out of the stage." The purple-haired kid said.

Midoriya who lost control started to walk away, but sadly, the same thing that happened in anime happened once again. Protagonist bullshit and all that. With it, Izuku won.
