Haeun watched Yeongsoo, noticing the way his shoulders slumped, the faint shadows beneath his eyes. He looked like he was holding the weight of something heavy, something he wasn't willing to let go of just yet.
"What happened?" Haeun asked quietly, keeping his tone gentle.
Yeongsoo took a deep breath, as if searching for the right words. "My father and I… there's always been this distance between us. Like no matter what I do, it's never enough," he began, his voice barely above a whisper. "He never understood me, never really wanted to. And today just brought all of that back. Remember when I said my older brothers practically raised me? It's true, cause they were never around."
Haeun listened, feeling a pang in his chest as he watched the pain flicker in Yeongsoo's expression. He wanted to wrap his arms around him, to take away the hurt, but he knew Yeongsoo also needed to let it out.
