Chapter 60: Midterm Exam

"For you stragglers, this is your first hurdle. Are you ready?" 

"Everyone has studied hard over the past few weeks. I don't think anyone in this class will fail!" 

"Hirata, you're really confident, huh?" 

After teasing Hirata, Chabashira-sensei took the exam papers from her clipboard and started handing them out. 

"If no one fails this exam or the final exam in July, I'll take everyone on a vacation to a southern island for the summer break." 

"Vacation?" 

"Yep! I'll let you all enjoy a week of paradise on an island surrounded by the sea." 

A summer beach... which obviously means seeing girls in swimsuits... 

For a moment, even Kanda Shuichi felt a bit envious; after all, he was a man... 

Too bad, though, Kanda Shuichi didn't think that kind of luck would come his way. 

After all, nightmares are still dreams in a way, right? 

"Everyone... let's give it our all!" 

"Wooohhhhhh!" 

The deafening roar startled Kanda Shuichi. Can't you all be a little quieter? Don't you know I'm timid?

He signed his name: Kanda Shuichi. 

Then he began to read the questions.
