Evolution of a Fishman

The next day, the gang met up at the beach and there was a large manta ray waiting for them. They all got on, and as they sunk, Merlin used a spell that allowed them to breath underwater. They observed the beauty of underwater, seeing the many vibrant coral and fish that live with them. They also saw lot of fishmen swimming around, some having normal legs, and some looking more fish-like. They also saw G, playing with a ball of coral with his large father. They threw the ball extremely fast, even with them being underwater. He then swam over to hug his friends, happy that they showed up for his trial. "You must be my son's friends, welcome. I am Megodan, the chief of the Gold Shark clan. My son is about to start his trial and begin his evolution. It would be most fortunate that you all would cheer him on, along with his lady friend." Megodan smirked, pointing to a mermaid girl with long red hair and a green fish-like tail coming from her tailbone. G blushed and swam to get himself a weapon from his collection, which looked like a Hawaiian shark tooth weapon. "Can't mess this up. I got this, yeah. I can win. I can win it, I feel it, I can do this!!" G chanted to himself as he put on a vest and shorts made of seaweed. His girlfriend hugged him from behind softly, calming him down a bit. "You don't need to overthink this. I know you'll win, so just relax. Besides, even if you lose, you'll be able to try again anyways. Your dad won't allow you to be banished for anything." she said. G then kissed her on the lips softly and smiled. "Thanks Arieale, I needed that. Now I gotta get ready. Wish me luck babe!" he said as he swam to the edge of the reef and waited. Everyone else moved out of the way, waiting with anticipation for the challenges.

Minutes passed, G felt his adrenaline rage through his body, his father floating overhead ready to issue the first challenge. "This will be a challenge of speed. You will swim through this maze. You must find your own way through in the shortest amount of time. Now...begin!" Megodan yelled as G darted off like an arrow through a windless sky. His speed left a streak of water and air in his wake as he weaved his way through the maze, making his way towards the goal without touching the ground once. Everyone cheered, and G wasn't exhausted at all and waved back at the crowd. Megodan smiled as he went to the next challenge. "This is the challenge of strength. This is the largest boulder that could be found, it weighs approximately three tons, and you must move it into the pit, in under 5 minutes. Now..begin!!" he yelled, making G push the boulder with all his might. He felt his muscles scream in pain, his joints began to pop, and he was slowly slipping on the sand. The three tons, even underwater, was unbearable to even attempt to move. His teeth grinded together and made a sound similar to metal scraping together. Two minutes passed, the boulder didn't move an inch, but G didn't stop trying to push that boulder. After three minutes, the boulder began to move, inch by inch, G began to move it through sheer willpower and his evolution beginning to take shape. His muscles increased, and bright white claws grew on his fingers. His eyes changed to look more humanoid, with sharp pupils. He screamed into a powerful roar and ended up blasting the boulder into bits by accident, and brought the dust into the pit, which counted as a win just under the mark. Everyone cheered again, mainly for his evolution taking place. Arieale blushed when G winked at her, hiding her face, but loving G's new buff physique. "Huh. So fishmen can look humanoid while remaining...um...what's the term for fish humans?" Merlin asked, but no one knew that one, and just went back to watching. G took a short break since his muscles were still burning something fierce, and his jaw felt like he was trying to bite into a boat. Arieale went down, singing a healing melody to heal G's aching pains. "Baby, you're too good to me. But you should head back to the seats. You're in the splash zone." he said, with his voice sounding deeper. He then stood before his father, half his size now and looked him in the eyes. "Son. You've grown into a fine lad. I'm proud to see you making friends, finding love, being yourself. I couldn't be more proud of you. Now for the final challenge. You must defeat me in battle, no killing, only yield." Megodan said grabbing a spear. G smiling and made a spear out of hardened coral, and readied himself. His father then stabbed his spear into the ground with incredible force, making a ring in the sand, then spins his spear and making a vortex and then maneuvering the spear into making a sharp slicing wave. G moves out of the way, then charging at his father with incredible speed and striking at his center. Megodan parried at the last second, and the two clashed spears, none of them letting up in the slightest. G knew his father was skilled and strong, but didn't want to win or lose not seeing his full potential, so he kept pressing on, using coral darts for range, and hand to hand fighting. Megodan was enjoying seeing his son's various attacks, and responded with his own fist fighting. Both of their fists clashed sending shockwaves through the ocean, everyone feeling the pushback from each clash. G then hit his father with a powerful uppercut to the jaw, and followed it up with a powerful slash of his claws that drew blood from his father's chest. Megodan smiled widely as his son was attacking faster, and more powerful with every strike he lands. But then, a strike came from out of nowhere that launched G off his feet, and his father knocked him out before he could realize what had happened. By technicality, the match was undecided and had to be postponed. "I demand to know who has interrupted this challenge." Megodan yelled out, and only one that appeared was a man with the lower torso similar to a crustacean, and had a very smug look on his face. "Sorry. Was that against the rules? Must've missed it when that little shrimp was allowed this challenge. He's nothing but weak, and I'll be glad to demonstrate that for everyone here. This little disgrace to the seas doesn't deserve the blessings of the sea god!" he yelled as he began to charge up an air bubble attack, but Merlin blasted it away, staring at him with an intent to attack immediately. Megodan picked G up, seeing that he was smiling and was already awake. "Ah I got you dad. You thought I wasn't tough stuff, better think again old man." he said jokingly as he hugged his father. Megodan smiled and held his son's arm high, declaring him the winner, and granting him audience with the sea god. "Alright. Time to see what I got!" G yelled in excitement as he swam into a cave nearby, seeing nothing but darkness, yet could sense his way around by feeling the water around him. He then felt an unfamiliar presence around him that seemed to wrap around him like seaweed. G closed his eyes, seeing a figure that seemed like a man with scaled arms, a crown around his head, and wearing an outfit similar to a pirate. "Ah. Fresh fish has swam into my net. State your name child, and don't bow before me doing so please. I get so sick of that." the being said. G responded with genuine confidence. "I am G, son of the leader of Gold Scales Megodan. And I wish to become an avatar of the seas. So I can follow in my father's footsteps and be my own leader. I owe it to my family, my friends, my sweet girl, and me. So hook a shark up so I can rock this bitch and show my friends how sexy a fish can get." he said while smiling. The sea god laughed loudly, impressed with the answer he was given from G. "You are your father's child. Very well. By the grace of Belemfin, the Roaring Tides, and by the power vested in...well, me. You shall become an Avatar of the Seas. May the primordial waters give you the strength to see your goals through." he said before vanishing. G felt the water level fall, and his body began to feel intense pain as his final evolution took place. G screamed in pain as his bones and joints snapped, every movement only causing more agony, however he grit his teeth and powered himself through. After about thirty minutes, the pain had stopped and became numb. He blinked his eyes and saw that the cave was filling with water, but he could see better in the dark as he looked at his reflection and smiled widely. "Oh yeah baby. I. Am. Sexy. As. Fuck." he said slowly as he admired himself in the reflection of the water. Everyone was waiting with baited breath as they saw G exit the cave in a new anthropomorphic form. He had hair, normal eyes, a humanoid body and head with a long shark-like snout, and his tail seemed longer as well. He swam faster and stopped in front of everyone. "Well, you son's of bitches can't tell me I'm not a whole snack. I got a six pack, sharper teeth, sweet ass nails, and I'm pretty sure I'm working with a couple more inches, cause you know my girl likes it long and wide." he said with a cocky tone. Everyone just looked in slight disbelief that he was able to say all of that with a serious face, and Arieale swam up to hug him and kissed him on the lips in front of everyone. "Thanks sweet lips. I hope you don't mind me looking more...manly now. But you gotta admit, I'm looking better than I did before. I have actual fingers, toes, and hair. Which is...blue apparently. Crazy." he said, but Arieale whispered in his ear, which made G's entire face go red, and made him smile sneakily. "You dirty little mermaid. You, me, my room." he said pulling her into a nearby anemone. "Is...is he gonna..? Out in the open?! Oh wow." Morgan muttered as she turned around.

G held Arieale down softly, her face red as a tomato, yet she was smiling at her lover gently while holding his face. "Such a good girl, I promised to leave you speechless, and I'm gonna deliver." G whispered in a sexual tone and began to undo her bra made of seashells, making her giggle a bit as her breasts were exposed, driving G into an intense lust, causing his instincts to take hold. Everyone else had a cringed expression on their faces, but on the inside they were happy to see their friend happy. G yelled again as he ran off to a pizza store, with everyone else just going along with him for the food.
