Cosmic Cultivation

Year 2033 The time the game came out, the world was taken by storm. 'Realm of Immortals' changed things for everyone. It was a game where anyone can be anything, a villain, a prince in shining armor, or a blacksmith. It was the first full-dive game, a revolution to technology. But... the world of that game favours the strong, so all players are pumped up to play it with it's realistic feature; calling it a second world would not be far off. Silas, an extraordinary 19 year old man who works at a bank and buys the game to pass away time and have fun, finds himself as the weakest player inside the realistic cultivation MMO. He was mad, he was angry, he just wanted to have fun, even the NPCs in the game harass and make fun of him. What led to this... He couldn't use Qi... The energy which all cultivators use to grow stronger... He was about to quit the game, when a glitch happened, a dark force was able to infiltrate the system, and Silas found himself in a forbidden place which was hated by the heavens. There, he found his purpose, using an energy that was the opposite of Qi. He gave himself a mission, to change how things were in this so called heavens, and create a better world where everyone isn't always fighting for power. _____ TAGS:- Assasin, reincarnation, gods, cultivation, martial arts, smart MC, Weak to overpowered, villain, virtual reality, video games. ___ My other books; Vampire god in the apocalypse, Lord MMORPG: The demon progenitor. 13. Assassins after dark Seraph

Jade Empire was not the only empire in the game. There were smaller places called kingdoms, and then there was another empire in the central continent.

South of Jade Empire, Silas walked with Juliet as they approached a kingdom. Silas listened attentively, absorbing all the information Juliet was giving him.

"So, those are the way cultivators and items are ranked," Juliet said, and Silas nodded his head in response.

"I understand. For now, I'm going to go back. Where would you stay?" Silas asked, and then she put a hand on her chin.

"Where are you going?" She asked innocently.

"I'm not from this world," Silas chuckled. "So my stay here is temporary, I'll be back tomorrow."

"Oh, I don't sleep anyway, so I can reach the kingdom and find you tomorrow," Juliet said, and Silas nodded.

He located the log-out button on his status screen. Pressing it, Silas flashed a smile towards Juliet before vanishing with a red light.

The wind howled in Juliet's ear as she looked up to see a yellowish moon in the sky. She kept on walking straight towards the direction they were going before, and then she soon emerged from the forest. She smiled as she saw the kingdom not far away from the forest, and she smiled as she actually managed to reach it.

"Avalon Kingdom. I found it on my own," she was glad and walked back towards a tree and made a claw mark on it before going back into the forest to hunt.

...

Back in the real world, Silas lay on his bed and removed the gaming helmet from his head. He stood up, stretching as he felt sore in a few areas.

"It's nice to be able to exercise. I never thought my fighting knowledge would be needed anymore," Silas thought and then made his way towards the kitchen.

"Hm? It's raining," Silas mumbled as he walked and made himself a hot cup of tea. The sound of the rain drizzling and the sounds of thunder rumbling made the surroundings very quiet and peaceful, everything was in harmony.

Silas picked up his phone as he went to G-Tube, a social media platform for Realm of Immortals' gamers, and began checking the online statuses and public messages.

A new section was open to him which was the top 25 players section and he went in.

[Grand_master: I finally reached Spirit King stage after a year and entered into a sect. I'm surely going to be in the top 10 students in the Harmony Ascension Challenge.]

[Gentleflower (replied to Grand_master): Which sect, dear?]

[Grand_master (replied to Gentleflower): Divine Lotus Sect #grin.]

[Immortal_daoist12: Y'all should pipe down and just keep cultivating.]

[Grand_master: Yo, Immortal Daoist, have you heard of the strange man they call Dark Seraph?]

[Gentleflower: Who?]

[Immortal_daoist12 (replied to Grand_master): Who hasn't, the Jade Empire is booming with his news.]

[Immortal_daoist (Replied to Gentleflower): You seriously don't know about the silver-haired angel that beat up students from the two great sects of Jade Empire.]

Silas chuckled upon hearing him being an angel and shook his head.

[Silvermist 🙃: Why do they call him Dark Seraph? Sounds cringey.]

[Godslayer222 (replying to Silvermist): Apparently, they said he had top-tier angelic beauty and was apparently devilish when it comes to beating up people.]

_ShadowofCarnage5321 is typing...

[Immortaldaoist12: So, y'all were in the background reading the chat the whole time?]

[ShadowofCarnage5321 (Replying to Godslayer222): I heard real-life testimonies. They said he looked like an angel as he emerged from a strange gate, but then the way he fought and attacked was horrific.]

[Peak_martial_god1 (replying to Immortaldaoist12): Lol. Yes, we were here the entire time.]

[Grand_master: Even Peak Martial God is here?!!]

[Gentleflower: Let's all just calm down on the whole Dark Seraph issue. I'm starting to get scared.]

[Peak_martial_god (replying to Gentleflower): Hey, you haven't replied to my private message... Go out with me.]

[Grand_master: Oh my god!!! 😱😱 My idol Peak Martial God is proposing!!!]

Silas dropped his phone a while after that and then he went to lay down on the bed to get a good night's sleep.

'Work isn't resuming until next two days, which is Monday,' Silas thought as he yawned and then wrapped himself in a blanket and closed his eyes.

He heard footsteps of people slowly walking up the stairs of the house and then looked at the time.

[3:20 AM]

Silas furrowed his brows as he stood up from the bed and stayed in front of the door with his hands raised up tiredly.

'I wonder who it might be this time,' Silas thought, his expression dim.

He looked calm as this situation was very much expected by now. He opened the door a bit and then stood a meter away with his hands up.

'This way the door won't break,' he thought with a yawn.

Soon, three people stormed into the room and saw Silas with his hands up. They were all carrying machine rifles and were wearing all black.

The three of them walked around him and surrounded him, and Silas looked at their gear. All of them had auxiliary weapons in their pockets, and one even had a grenade.

"It seems we were expected, boss," one of the guys said, and soon a fourth person stepped into the house. While the others had black masks covering their faces, this man was not covering anything as he entered with a marijuana stick in his mouth. He had a full brown beard and a bald head and he wore an eye patch on his left eye. His brown suit was smoothly ironed, and then he walked into the room.

"You remember me?" the man asked as he put his thick stick of marijuana into the cup of water on the table.

"I've seen a lot of people in my life," Silas answered with a shrug. His calm demeanor was unsettling for the assailants.

"To think the Black Onyx was living such a peaceful life..." the man looked around at the well-kept environment of the house and looked at Silas wearing pajamas.

"Who is this Black Onyx?" Silas raised a brow with a confused expression.

"Don't try to act, the scar on your face betrays you," the man said as he pointed to the knife scar on Silas' left cheek which was a letter 'Z,' and Silas gritted his teeth.

"Don't worry, Mister Silas. You're not going to get off easy just because the government permits it," the man said with an angry expression, and Silas felt a shock jolt through his entire body, and he fell down on the ground, unconscious. One of the men stunned him with a taser.
