Khole's POV
Before I could start running my mouth, the unmistakable voice of Adele rang in my head, causing me to pull away immediately.
How did she get here? – I pondered.
"You should look where you are going." Nevian said, causing me to slowly raise my head only to see Adele holding an empty glass. I didn't need anyone to interpret what had just happened.
In spite, she had wanted to empty the contents of the glass on my head but Nevian made the save, making the liquid spill to the ground.
For a greater part of the award ceremony which was supposed to be fun as it was the first time I was attending in person, I kept darting my eyes around, hoping she wouldn't return.
Since I was unable to concentrate on the proceedings, I decided to make use of the bathroom and after finishing my business, I proceeded to the wash hand basin only to see Adele standing by it with her legs crossed.
