Fighter

In her frustration, she sat to start working immediately. Then she heard a knock, it was Assistant Anthony.

"Hi"

Nora ignored as she was angry.

"It's lunchtime, aren't you coming?"

"I'm working. I would skip lunch"

Anthony nodded and exited the office to get lunch.

Jason froze at the entrance of Nora's office oozing with jealousy after he saw Anthony walk in with plastic bags from the cafeteria.

He also heard her smile which sounded like a little moan.

"What are they doing in there that she's moaning?"

Yes...his imagination was so wild. He can't still believe that his own secretary lied to him.

It was just thirty minutes after he left her office when he remembered that he had something to ask her.

Jason hissed and strode back to his office in anger.

He had so many reasons to be angry and wouldn't keep calm until she faces the consequences of her actions.

Nora heard her door open, thinking it was Jason she glared at the door in annoyance.

She then saw Anthony walk in with plastic bags. Nora was very much aware that it was from the cafeteria

She didn't know when she jumped to hug him passionately.

No one has ever cared about her like this before, and that's why she was diagnosed with an ulcer.

Nora often skipped meals so she could feed her family but they have actually never really asked if she had eaten.

She broke the hug and took the bag briskly to check what was inside.

Due to how hungry she was, she started eating hurriedly.

Anthony sat next to her and also opened his.

"Did you and the CEO fight?" He suddenly asked.

Knowing where he was going she shook her head "Whatever it is, I know it would change over time. After all, I'm his secretary he can't push me away"

Anthony smiled at her fighting spirit. His boss was so lucky to have a secretary who cares for and understands him.

Before employing her, he was under a lot of pressure from his boss which made him nag all the time.

But when Nora showed up, all the weight was lifted and surprisingly, Jason loved and respected her.

"What a fighter darling"

Nora smiled at his remark. it's not like she had a choice anyways, he was her boss and she would serve him till she resigns.

Suddenly, Nora had a call through the intercom.

Nora picked up her chicken from the plate before going as she had a principle that whatever eatable thing she leaves, it won't come into her mouth again and she didn't want to give up on the chicken.

She entered Jason's office without knocking.

Keeping the chicken behind her "You called for me sir"

Jason actually had nothing to say, he only called her to disturb her.

He picked up a file and threw it to her "Do..."

Nora who had wanted to catch the flying file caught it with her chicken laying on the ground.

She gritted her teeth in annoyance, waiting for herself to get out of the office to vent her anger in the toilet.

"Do it again. I want it to be submitted in an hour." His voice was so cold.

"Also...clean the mess"

Nora exited the office without saying a word.

She ran to the toilet to vent her anger "What did I do wrong? Why is he like this to me? My chicken just fell"

"Ha-ha" She laughed to herself before working out to do her task.

She instructed the janitor to clean the mess she created in Jason's office and got back to work.
