A mistake turns out to be a blessing 2

Nora was working when her phone beeped.

She took her phone out and saw a notification of a message.

It read "Come for your interview tomorrow morning by 7:30".

Nora was surprised and confused at the same time. " They are not as organized as I thought" Nora said smiling to herself awkwardly.

They said I should come by 7am earlier and now it's 7:30am, there are so annoying but I still love the company" Nora thought.

She was extremely hungry and decided to take a break. She took an handkerchief from her bag and wiped her face with it. She held her stomach and groaned in pain.

She managed to stand but she fell to the ground.

Nora stood up and sat back on the chair. She cried in pain then a young guy came to her.

Are you fine damsel? Should I help you up?" the young man said with a smile on his face.

Nora was pissed off, she was in pains and he was smiling. She rolled her eyes and continued to cry.

Suddenly he stretched his hands and gave her bottled milk.

" Take this, it should reduce the pain" he said with a smile.

Nora collected the milk and drank it, she finished then wiped her mouth and stood up before returning the cleaning tools.

The young man insisted on following her and she accepted.

" I'm Dylan anyways" he moved his hair with his hands.

Well, I'm Nora Raven" Nora said smiling a little.

Where are you going?" Dylan inquired.

I don't yet, I guess I will have to beg every innocent individual I see" Nora chuckled sarcastically.

You can stay at my place" Dylan answered.

Are you sure?" Nora asked.

Yes" Dylan smiled.

Thanks, I need to get a shirt from that store then we can start going" Nora pointed to the store.

She ran inside the store and bought a blue shirt. She then bought biscuit, a bathing soap and a tooth brush and ran back to Dylan.

Nora regretted buying them because they had all at home but due to her anger, she couldn't take anything before going out.

She had expected him to follow her when she ran into the store but she kept quiet because he was not her boyfriend anyways.

They walked for about fifteen minutes before arriving at his house.

It's small and you will have to manage" Dylan said addressing to Nora.

Thank you" Nora uttered shyly.

I only have a bed, you will have to sleep with me" Dylan whispered but loud enough for Nora to hear.

I will sleep on the ground" Nora suggested.

How will a damsel like you sleep on the ground? It's unacceptable" Dylan licked his lips seductively.

It's fine, you have done enough already" Nora laid on the ground and drifted to sleep.

Dylan wasn't comfortable, he felt horning just looking at her.

He stood up and knelt down beside her. He was about to touch her face but he stopped .

He took time to think and analyse the situation and realized that if he was patient, he will have her in full so he stopped and went out to take a drink.

Nora woke up early, took her bath and wore her dress. Dylan was no where to be found when she woke up but she was not bothered, it was his life anyways.

She was given salary the previous day so she had money to take a cab to Jasra.

She got there ten minutes late and was really nervous.

She sat where she sat the previous day and waited for her turn.

..Mr Anthony came out of his office and saw Nora. She was extremely beautiful, with long thick hair and a pale face.

His boss had such great taste for women, for the first time he felt proud of his boss

Good morning miss, Mr Anderson asked me to bring you to his office" Mr Anthony smiled casually.

Nora nodded and followed Mr Anthony quietly.

Sir, she's here" Mr Anthony announced.

You can leave " Jason was facing the other side so Nora couldn't see his face.

Nora sat nervously.

You have the nerves to submit an high school certificate in Jasra for the post of a secretary. Are you kidding me?" The man said with an hint of sarcasm.

I'm sorry sir, I don't un..." Nora was cut off by him.

Anyways, you have been given the job" The man added.

Jason wanted to surprise her, so he turned the chair around.

He was actually so nervous and anxious, he didn't want her to see his face yet.

The door opened and he heart beat became unusual. Anthony announced her welcome and Jason excused him.

Nora greeted respectfully and sat down.

You sure have the nerves to submit an high school certificate for a secretary job" Jason said with an expressionless voice.

I don't un..." Nora stammered in confusion.

Anyways, you have been given the job. Start tomorrow morning by 7am" Jason added then turned his chair around.

Nora's mouth dropped, she was surprised because of two things.

Firstly, because she was given a job she never applied for and Secondly, her boss is the guy she offended the other day.

Nora faced the ground, she was confused at the same time scared.

She bit her lip so hard. Jason said "You can go now, an amount of money will be sent to your account so that you can change your wardrobe".

Jason stared at her from her head to her waist, she was indeed gorgeous.

She had clean and clear eyes, a pair of beautiful amber eyes. She looked like an angel, gentle and sweet. Her appearance was eye catching.

"I said that you can go" Jason said with an inexplicable coldness.

I'm sorry" Nora apologized before leaving the office abruptly.

Jason smiled to himself, " she looked like a scared puppy". Jason called Anthony to come to his office.

Her account details are on her profile right!!" Jason inquired.

Who?" Mr Anthony touched his hair trying to understand what Jason just said.

Jason glared coldly "Send enough money to her account, you can go".

If a glare could kill someone, I would have died a long time ago" Anthony thought to himself.

Mr Anthony realized who he was talking about so he walked out.

....Nora walked out of the company in joy, it was still like a dream to her. Will she really be the secretary to the CEO of Jasra? What if it's just a dream?.

Nora pinched and beat her self several times to confirm if she was dreaming.

Then suddenly her phone beeped and it was an alert of $1000 with a message saying "get yourself something nice, the CEO likes neat dressing".

She started crying, it was too good to be true, she has to work for almost a year and an half before getting that kind of money.

She needed to get a house as soon as possible, so she won't fuck this up.

Nora took a taxi and arrived at home, she met her mom packing her tomatoes she sells into a big basket.

Nora was still mad at her mom so she didn't greet or help her, she just walked on.

Nora, how was the interview?" Mrs Raven questioned.

I got a job as the CEO'S secretary" Nora sat on the couch and off her shoes.

I thought you applied to be a janitor there" Mrs Raven sat opposite her daughter.

Yes, but the events changed and I got employed. I will need a house around that side, so I can easily get to work" Nora stood up to go to her room but her mom stopped her.

Nora, I know you are upset but think about it, your brother needs to be taken care of. He's going to write his final papers next week, he's the future of this family" Mrs Raven cried out.

Really!! I gave up everything and you are telling me that I don't need to be taken care of" Nora yelled in anger.

I didn't say that, I only said that Kelvin is more important right now" Mrs Raven sat on the couch and touched her neck.

Sometimes I doubt if you are really my mom, I will be packing this evening" Nora walked out of the house with so much tears.

.... Nora walked into a store and ran to the toilet. She sat on the toilet seat and started crying.

She was independent since she was young so her parents didn't give her attention. She lived for them, she always wanted the happiness of her family.

She gave up her dreams for her family. "You are just a mere female who will get married one day" was always the words of her mom

She was never seen has someone important.

She called one of her friends and asked if she had any vacant house she could rent.

"I will get back to you" Her friend said.

Please there's no where I will stay tonight, try to get back to me quick" Nora voiced.

She ended the call and came out of the store.

Nora entered another store and bought shirts, skirts and shoes. She went to a salon and made her hair and called her friend back.

Sorry, I forgot to call you back, I called an agent, he said you should come by 4pm. I will send the address to you" Her friend said.

Thanks, I will see him soon" Nora called a cab and got to the place.

Are you the agent?" Nora asked

Yes, this is the house" The agent pointed to the house.

It was a room, bathroom and toilet and a sitting room.

I love it, how much does it cost?" Nora asked.

$50 per year" The agent answered.

Nora pulled open her bag and paid the rent. " I will pack in tonight" she said.

He nodded then left, Nora really didn't feel like going back home to get her things so she cleared the house instead and slept there.
