New beginning

Owen was diagnosed with liver cancer at advanced stage with multiples metastasis six months ago.Hi was 40 years old and never thought that he would became a patient himself, he was a young doctor married 5 years ago. His wife was the love of his life and his career was succeed with money and an eassy life. But today he wake up with one idea in his mind, he decide that he will never become a vegetable sick patient in bed waiting for the end. He prepared a note saying goodbye to his wife and family and walk to the closet , where an old Beretta pistol was hiden, the gun was loaded and hi decided that he had a good life....he pulled the trigger and everything became dark. Owen will never see the pain that he produced to his wife and family.

In a far place known as purgatory ,where the souls of people is waiting to be judged , two old man( known as Alpha and Omega) were discussing about meaning of life, and who lose the last bet. Alpha was very tall with white hair and eyes of fire.He was representing justice and wisdom, dressing in a polar white toga. Omega was an obese elder , bald with hard facial features and deep cold eyes , like the incalculable universe , he was dressing a fire and gray toga. He was representing resurrection and universe travel. They were deciding destinies for the souls. Owen was in a long line trying to understand what was happening to him, he believe that this is a dream , but he remember clear that he pulled the gun trigger; the line was moving fast and two souls were judged at the same time. Owen hear the voice of one of the elders said " Next two, move forward " Owen saw at his side a little girl of 6 years old very skinny and sad, her name was Valerie. She killed herself , because she was tired of suffering at the hands of her father's. Then Alpha said to her" I know that you had a bitter life and never accumulated good karma, life is a gift; your punishment is 100 years of reflection in purgatory "Owen saw tears rolling in Valerie face, he thought how justice is so blind ,behind that tears was a story of pain and torment. Alpha looked him and said- you have good karma , you helped many in your life as a doctor, you can move to resurrection. Owen could not believed justice was not only blind, but ambivalent too . He took a deep breath and looking the two elders said"I want to trade my good karma with the girl"Omega took an old coin and tossed in the air the result was face." You pass your trial, every 1 trillion of souls we give a chance to live again in another world". The little girl smile and become pure light in minutes.

My mind raced with the idea of new life . I can't believe my luck, but something smell fishy here I step forward and asked to the two Elders"How is this possible"? They told me that sometimes universe need balance and they introduce variables like me to see the changes in that world , they bet in the way that the variable ( myselft) impact future. I try to bargain for a good deal . They offered a random world reincarnation in a human with my memories intact. I looked to Omega and I asked if I could receive any artifact that help me enhance any abilities. Alpha explained to me that any external help would increase the complexity of the ramdon world that I would be sent. I thought for a 5 minutes and decide to select an AI system device , like Travis in Iron-man. Alpha said" it is ok your desire will be granted". Omega toss the coin again and i was involved in a bright light and loss conscious.

Alpha look to Omega and laugh the world of selection was BK 456 continent Itiria where many races live ; magic and conflicts were in constan eruptions. My body felt hevy ,my eyes can't open, but I can feel that I am lying in a bed at that time I heard a mechanical voice in my head- time estimated to open eyes 15 minutes, host coordination and assimilation at 35% , time remain 2hr for full assimilation I knew that the AI system was in operation. "Your name will be Travis , could you describe your stats". The mechanical voice responded, name assigned Travis accepted , basic system level 0 with host coordination upgrade possibility . What the hell is this. I am a vegetable in bed , my eyes opened and i saw a medieval room the air was a mix of herbs burns with oil. I tried to move my hands and i noted resistance I felt a solf texture in my fingers , I realize that it is a beautiful women sleeping kneeling next to my bed holding my hand , her head was resting close to my hand,I can feel her breath. she has long blonde hair and you can see traces of been crying in her face. My mind is in tumultuous shock. what is going on here. I asked inside my mind Travis, how long until complete merging of memories, I estimate 1hr and 15 seconds for full assimilation, but you can start to compress information when system reach 65 % , that will be in 10 minutes. Do you accept ? Yes ,as soon reach 65% in start comprehensive data. I close my eyes tryring to appear in deep sleep, hopping that language basics skill would be integrated in memories and abilities. I took the time to think in my past, my departure my meeting with the two elders and the sould of this body. Mix of bitter sadness was in my mind. Pain in waves like knife stabbing started to arrive my mind , my body was burning inside i clench my teets to easier the pain , my body could not resist the tension. when I heard Travis voice , Aran basic skill of communication and memories learned . Travis (remarks) , forgot to notify Aran of pain associated with the processing...Aran is scare of a little of pain. Travis you are my friend or enemy. I am an AI level 0, concept like friendship or enemy are out of my reach.

I open my eyes and the lady was looking to my eyes, she was smiling and tears rolling in her cheeks. I knew in a second that she was my mother , her name was Elien a concubine of the fourth son of the Patriarch of the Longheart family. I am so glad that you are awake Aran , mother now have desires to live. she hug me and i can feel her love and sincerity. I am feeling very bad because i took over the body of her son, my lips openned and two weak word escaped. "Thanks, Mother" she looked in to my eyes. Aran, I was so worried , you need to promise mother that you will never fight again with your brother Kurt. I looked to her eyes and consent with a small nod of my head. Inside I was thinking with this body I dout that I will fight anybody soon. Elien asked"Are you hungry " ? " yes , mother". Elien kissed my right cheek with a big smile and went outside. I started to think in my situation, and decide to live this live granted as a new person, because I could not change past or live thinking in the past. Owen life was gone and Aran life will continue. Travis notify me when full assimilation is complete. I went in the old memories of Aran and I saw how his bitter life was going, weak , humiliated and isolated by all the member of his family, his own grandfather hated him for weak. Aran only reliever was in the library, where hi look to books for a solution and the solution was in a old pergamine in a tattered book, that explained the sacrifice of part of the soul for the possession of a being of high level plane , he just want 3 things , protection for his mother and sister and prove to the world that Aran Longheart was a man of talent and honor. He decided to use the rite 2 days ago when hi was hit and humiliated by his brother's in special Kurt. Aran knew that the position of his Mon has changed over time , his father last visit was long ago , meaning protection and resources were diminished over time. The lived in the outskirts of the family mansion in a old building. However Aran never knew that his soul was hurt and diminished a long time ago and at the time of his sacrifice tge slipt of the soul was not enough to support the sacrifice and collapsed. Owen soul's was send to Aran body at the moment of starting the disipation of the soul; meaning intergrating in Owen soul's the remants of the dissipating Aran soul's , failure of the sacrifice was destruction of the soul witout reincarnation. Owen felt morally obligated to follow the desires of Aran and decide to live as Aran and get justice for the young Aran many things were missing in Aran story. Elien returns with a big smile and fed me a watery herbs soup , the smell was like incense and the taste was like raw meat ( later i discovered that the soup was of elemental spirit herbs)

I thanked her and I tell her that i was sleppy. she kiss me in the cheeks again and accommodate my blanket. I was let alone and my eyes close again thinking in my new awake ib this new world that i knew that not was Earth.
