Chapter Fifty-Nine

   Kate's body hit the icy water and the Crone had to fight against the intuition to suck in air, her head crested the surface and she gulped in a breath before she was pulled under by the waves again. The Crone needed to focus, she couldn't let the shock overcome what she intended to do. Closing her eyes she called up her water magick, as soon as the waves began to connect to her she stiffened her hands by her sides and pushed down against the water with her hands. Slowly the water responded to her and she was lifted gently to the surface, where she could hear Ollie and Athena shouting from the boat and the splash of Zagryus as he tried to swim to her. She held her arm out to him and pushed him away from her and towards the boat, ignoring his cries of frustration.

   "What are you doing?" Kate asked nervously, "You may be running it but my body can't withstand the cold water for very long," she added.
