CHAPTER 18: CONFUSION.
Third Person's POV.
"Ayesha has already given you an answer khala."Ayesha heard her brother say, "As her brother, I agree with her decision."
Careful as ever, her brother approached her and her aunt. He stood at a small distance, close enough to intervene if necessary. He watched the emotions change on his aunt's face as his sister clasped her hands together in her lap, her face grim. His aunt moved closer to Ayesha, placed a hand on her shoulder, and spoke in a low tone.
"Ayesha, dear, did I misunderstand? I thought you had taken a liking to Zeeshan. Was I wrong?"
Ayesha's brother intervened before her aunt interrogated her further.
"I think we should give her some time alone." He suggested, hoping his aunt would back off.
