Chapter 14- Jealous

Phoenix stayed for a while and then left the infirmary so that Amy can rest and continue her sleep. He immediately ordered Apollo whose having a good sleep to find that knight and put him in the interrogation cell. Apollo rushed himself to dress and left.

They found him at his room lying in his bed comfortably like he did nothing and started the interrogation early in the morning. He was sitting on a chair and both of his hands and feet are tied.

"Tell me. Why did you do it?" Apollo asked him but he's not answering.

"Maybe he didn't do it by himself, what if someone ordered him to do it, huh?" Phoenix just guessed it but the knight suddenly looked at him in shock as if it was true.

"Now tell me, who ordered you?" He still insisted not to talk and just shut his mouth. Looking at the ground to avoid Phoenix' golden eyes.

'Whoever it is, that person has something valuable offered to this man.' Phoenix thought and rubbed his chin while looking at the man.

He ordered his knights to beat his thighs violently using a wooden paddle. As the man felt the pain, he screamed.

"Sir Adelard, please...I d-don't have any accomplice nor someone ordered me!"

"Oh boy, don't waste yourself to someone like that. That person can't save you from my hands."

The man thought what he said and learned that everything Phoenix said is true. That person can't save him from the hands of Phoenix because he is the most powerful Knight in the city and the strongest of all. And when the knights was about to beat his thighs, he confessed immediately.

"It's! It's L-Lady Cameron! She was the one who ordered me to do this. She said she'd give me tons of gold bar if I did this to Ms. Eve. I apologize Commander Adelard, please forgive me!" He cried as he apologized while still looking on the ground.

"Lady Cameron?" Apollo looked at Phoenix as he wonder why would Lady Cameron do this. After the investigation they put him in the cell for his punishment and he would stay there for a month.

Phoenix wasn't even shocked as if he expected it to happen.

"I remembered that I forgot to punish you for cheating on the first competition and yet you did something like this! one month isn't enough for your punishment but I'll let it pass because you confessed who ordered you to do something like that."

"....."

"Find Lady Cameron, now!"

Amy tried to stand up but her belly still hurts. Devon give her a hand and held her back.

"Where are you going?"

"Ah I'm going back to my room, I'm uncomfortable here because everyone is coming often."

"I see. Then, I'll tell Anna to give you the medicine everyday and help you to change your bandage." she didn't comply this time because she can't really do it alone.

They went outside the infirmary and Devon was holding her hand that was placed at the back of his neck and his other hand was on her waist to maintain her balance while walking. While walking they bumped into Phoenix who was about to enter the infirmary.

"W-what are you doing here Commander Adelard?" she said while holding her belly.

"Nothing. I was just passing by. And where do you think you're going?" he then raised his eyebrows and shows his fierce look.

"I'm going back to my room, I'm uncomfortable here."

And when Phoenix noticed where Devon's hand is, he immediately ordered the two female servants who was cleaning windows, to bring Amy back to her room.

'What is wrong with him?' Amy thought but let it pass because her belly really hurts and she can barely stand.

Phoenix didn't tell her about Lady Cameron ordering the knight to do something to her because she's not fully healed. So he'll took care of this matter on his own.

Phoenix went to his office and minutes later, Apollo arrive together with Lady Cameron and her servant.

"What do you think you're doing? Get off me!" she complained while struggling on Apollo's grip on her. Apollo dragged her in front on Phoenix.

"What is this? Huh! If my father learned about this you'll pay!"

"Is that so? Then, what would your father do if his daughter sabotage one of my people?" Olivia's eyes widened, she can't say anything as if her mouth was glued because of the words she heard.

"W-what are you t-talking about? I didn't do anything!"

"The knight who cheated on horseback racing said you ordered him to do something bad to Ms. Eve, can you deny that? If this news spread and your father learned about this, what do you think your father would do?" He said in a complete confidence. He knew that her father would punish her roughly even though he's her daughter.

Marquess Theodore is a respectable man in Iris City, he can put behind his own daughter if there lies his reputation and dignity. But he is a coward man, he feared Phoenix because he's a really strong knight and not only because of that, he's also connected to the King and the King is very fond of him, with his masculine body you'll know that he's not a man you can deal with.

Everyone in town called him a Kings right hand man because he was very fond of him, everything Phoenix wants or request to him, he immediately give it to him in fear of Phoenix might disobey him someday. Being allied with Phoenix and his elite is a big help to the Empire as they won so many battle and came back alive like they just went into the party and not a battle.

"If you confess everything what you did, I'll give you the punishment that you deserve. And if not, I'll send a messenger to deliver this message to your father. Now, choose." Olivia was trembling really bad, the back of her body started to fill with sweat.

"Phoenix please...l-let's talk about this, no need to let my father knew about this. It's just a small incident okay?"

"Small. Incident?" while slowly turning his golden pupils to her, Olivia's body started to collapse and knelt on the floor. Her cold shivering hands were hiding under her luxurious gown.

"Please! Phoenix don't break up with me, please. I'm not gonna do it again!"

"You have no right to decide about that. Leave." As he commanded her to leave, Apollo dragged her outside with her servant. She kept crying and complaining to Phoenix while walking away from him.

"Victor!"

"Yes, Sir Adelard."

"Don't let that woman come to Citadel ever again!" Victor the Butler just bowed his head and pour him a tea. Phoenix' mind was settled and in peace because he'll never see her again and just open the document that was on top of his desk.
