Chapter 2: A light in the Dark

With no time to waste, we've reached the pentagon. From the looks of it, the inside was a little intact but the outside was in ruins.

"We should be closer to the conference room, from there we'll raise an antenna and power up the key"

Ruth was more than any other Artificial Intelligence, she could control most of the technology that's left intact here. "Alright you heard the Red Queen, let's split up and search in groups of three, we'll check out levels one and two, you check three for anything that we can use, remember time is not on our side people and we don't know if the anti-virus reached this place yet, let's move, Ruth I know I'm asking you for the impossible but can you please expand your search for Becky please"

Becky was family now and family stick together. My niece is out there somewhere. We're going to find her but for now we complete our mission and find the components we need.

We went through offices for the files of project Vril. Kinda hard to search for them considering the files are almost impossible to find. Ruth could print them out somewhere.

No matter. "Ruth said she found them in files"

"Da comrade, files wouldn't be here, they'd be in server room, level two" John was taking point. I followed him with Sierra behind me. She was looking worried, "Hey you okay? You look a little pale like you've seen a ghost" I spoke out to her. "I'm fine, just a little dizzy, been that way since we left Raccoon City"

"Just what did the Anti-virus do to you?"

"Something I don't understand, I can't barely sleep with this pounding headache"

"That's because none of us haven't gotten the exact rest or eaten anything in three days, hang in there Sierra I promise I'll get us all out of this, even if Dr. Monty is on his way this will work"

She looked up with a half smile, then sighed. "You always reassure me and everyone not to worry"

"It's what I do" I told her. We entered the elevator and the music was still playing. This is nice to hear a normal sound. Myka started humming to it. "What, It's Catchy" he breathed.

We entered the War room and most of the technology was somehow active. "Ruth did you do this?"

*PRECISELY*

Well done I thought, she's more helpful than I imagined. "Ok Ruth I have a task for you, do you think you can input the information into this key like Umbrella Prime"

Ruth appeared via projector.

*YOUR ASKING ME TO COPY THE TEST FLOORS OF A CITY INTO THE VRIL DEVICE, I CAN INPUT THEM IN BUT HOWEVER I NEED A MAP*

Sierra flicked out a hard drive then held the key and hooked up to the nearest computer and started punching in locations. This is how we'll create city blocks for the planet.

"Next we'll need to upgrade its shell with fresh Transformium"

Myka and Dee looked at everything around them then saw what little metal we can use.

"Metal around here looks old Jp" No doubt that was true. "Then we'll clean it down at level three" I told them ripping off a pole from the cat walk. I held the pole and walked to the elevator with John and Alice behind me. "Stay with Sierra, we'll be back shortly"

I told the others and we started our descent into Level 3: The Laboratories. From here we'll have permanent power and access to the tele-porters around the area. The doors opened and the laboratory was in better shape than the offices. I walked around looking for the power switch. It's gotta be around somewhere. Then the lights flickered and came on. I turned to my left and Alice had flipped the switch. "Good that should help Sierra with her research"

I took the metal pole to the closest lab that could wash and melt it down. I sat the pole on the ground and turned on the decontamination shower. John handed me a torch and I smiled knowing this wouldn't take long at all. The plan was coming together nicely.
