5: Meeting the Boss

"How did you get here?!" Aurelia started making her battle position when she saw the man inside AB's room.

"I am sure I did not try to hide in such a disgusting vase, not even worth it." Damien replied to her and looked at AB.

"I know it already, I am here to help you."

"Save your shits, dickhead. There's no one who needs your help here, why don't you just go back to where you belong?" Aurelia's eyes started burning fire as she looked at one of their empire's enemies.

"It's okay, I know him." What AB said shocks her, how can she befriend an enemy?

"What? Do your parents know about this?" Aurelia asked.

"No, and they don't need to know anything," she murmured. "You need to go back now." Aurelia raised her brows after she heard that.

"No one's leaving, I will stay here. This little guy cannot be trusted." Aurelia started.

Damien smirked but did not mimic her anymore since there is more important than a nonsense fight.

AB sighed and closed her eyes, she knew she will not convince Aurelia and she was running out of time.

"Someone's coming," AB said when she heard footsteps but their focus averted on the portal that had been starting to open inside her room. The fire lights went off as the portal got bigger. "What is this?" Aurelia asked.

"Let's go." Damien said and pushed them both inside.

Heat started burning around their body as the portal eats them. Aurelia felt it easily but AB who used to go with Damien was now immuned with the portal he makes.

"What's happeni—?!" Aurelia's question changed when she stumbled on the floor after the portal released them in different place. "What's this place?!" She hysterically asked.

"We are at the safest place I could find," Damien answered.

"There is no such a safe place." AB started walking inside the cave where the portal brought them.

The fire light around started to lit, they can now see the whole place. "I heard that the clan talked to you and you have just agreed on what they said, didn't you?" Damien asked.

"I have no choice, the tribe left me with no choice." AB replied.

"What about it?" Aurelia asked, glaring at the man who's with them.

Ignoring Aurelia's question, Damien faced AB. "You always have a choice, AB, but you're not using them right. Going to a place that is not familiar with you is okay, but living with them is suicide. They are just typical humans who uses guns and technology as their power. Nothing more special, you can take that man's head in just a moment of time and return here with a victory so why stay there for a long time?" Damien bitterly asked.

"The clan told me to spy to get more information but what fucking funny is that I don't even know where to go and start. For the meantime, to socialize with them until I find the Sacred Moon Jade." AB answered, intently looking at the fire in front of her.

"Sacred Moon Jade? It's just a myth!" Aurelia shouted in anger. "There is no such a thing!"

"There is." The two women looked at Damien who spoke. "But I am not sure it's still in this world. No one has ever seen it after the war." He said. "The modern world was starting to destroy every continent where other tribes were and it's sad to think we're losing heavy numbers. The Sacred Moon Jade can make all the impossible possible, so we need it." Damien added then sighed, he was certain the clan will not make any decisions without validation. "I am sure there is, but no one even knows how it looks. And you don't have to do this, AB."

"Either way, I need to get that man's head and bring it to them." AB said.

"It's like finding a needle deep down the ocean." Aurelia stated, biting her lips. She closes her eyes after realizing what AB's mission is.

"I'm going with you." Aurelia's words made AB frown.

"No one's coming with me, they will track you both for sure." AB looked in her hands and found something in it.

"You will need it. That hairpin…always use that, so I can find where you are. Just call me if you need help, I will come." Damien said.

AB scoffed at him. "Forget it. I don't need any help," she said then threw the hairpin back at him but Damien gave it back.

"You need this, always remember that you're not alone. At least let me help through this." Damien said before turning his back.

"I need to go now." AB started walking away.

"AB!" Aurelia shouted but AB glared at her.

"I said what I said, Aurelia." That was her last words before nodding at Damien who opens a portal for her. She looked at them from the last time before going inside the portal.

The stingy sensation covered her whole body, she walked at the dark portal until she saw the light that released her to the end of the Agadon.

AB's P.O.V

I looked straight up high as I saw the fine woods in front of me. This is getting exciting yet mysterious for me. The mission isn't the only thing I need to do. I still need to save my spot inside the palace.

But sure, I will kill the man and take back what's ours.

My journey will start here, and no one can stop this. The clan have made their minds, they are so powerful that I can't overrule them by now. I still need to conquer many things to level with them. As for my mother, I am certain she has something to do with this. Those things I needed to find out in a short period of time was giving me a burning sensation inside of me.

The wind started to get warmer as I reached the end of the woods where it led me to a small province, the city lights started to be seen from here. I took that opportunity to see the whole place, where I will live for a certain time, but I will make sure to go back as soon as I end this and continue what I wanted.

Sound of vehicles, running trucks, billboards, people who were screaming everywhere especially those little ones, and the smell of this place is making me sick.

I was standing near the barricade as I was observing how these people were living their life. Some of them were enjoying their existence but many are just merely surviving because of capitalism. Their government isn't that powerful but just because they can't do anything, they were being slaves by it. Poor people, they can't even voice out what they think they deserve.

This life is about survival, nothing is much more important than power.

"Hey lady, you want to buy some?" An old woman whose mouth was stingy because of the cigarette offered me some.

"No." I answered stiffly.

"Looks like you are new here, looking for someone eh?" She asked. I looked at her smirking face. No one needs to know my mission here. They aren't involved in it.

"Just passing by, I'm headed to the city. Where's the nearest station?" I asked.

"There, you can also contact them and make a reservation." After I heard that I left her there standing with her cigarettes. "Psh, young people now don't even know how to be grateful, the future is now fucked up!" I heard her shout her lungs but I did not turn back and made my way to the train station. I need to go to the city.

It's already dark when I reached the city. I took off my hood and started examining the place. There is a wide road but there are no vehicles here. I walked across every street to find a hut where I can sleep, but my feet led me to a place where a group of slugs were smoking and drinking. I can say that I am trapped.

"There's a girl here, are you lost honey?" An old man with a big stomach asked me while his friends laughed.

"Come and join us, we need some toy."

I glared at them before taking my knife out of my hood. They were shocked at first but their reaction turned goofy, then smirked at me. "Scary," one of them murmured playfully.

I did not know that there are people like them here, they were acting strong just because they are old. Stupid.

"Stop."

A man's voice has been heard in my back. I turned around and saw a fine man standing in front of me. He was wearing a suit and hair is fixed, but there is something in his face, it's blood. I can smell a gunpowder out of him. This man was using human's so-called powerful weapons. However, his aura I can tell, it's dangerous. I should keep an eye on him. I still don't know what he can do.

"Who are you?" He asked me.

I just looked seriously at him and did not utter a word.

"Come with me." He said that after looking at me for a minute like he was examining my whole existence. Could it be possible that he can read me? But he's just a mere human.

"My Lord, she's joining us here. Let us have fun first!" That old big guy shouted, but their mouth shut when the man took his gun and pointed it at them.

"She's my guest, laying a finger at her means meeting your death."

This man could have power over anyone in here. I smirked. I should go with him then.

"My name's Nazzer."

Nazzer.

Who are you?
