Chapter 796: Reshuffle

A small bottle tied to a parachute landed in the city. Several aptitude users rushed toward it and picked it up, which was then passed to Li Yuanshan.

Judging from the scene, although Guan Shan was the deputy mayor, and Li Yuanshan was just a finance minister, his position obviously held more power.

Li Yuanshan was disgusted, he had some guesses in his mind, however, the actual outcome had struck him with extreme despair.

"Has the alliance confirmed this? It is just the first day, are they really planning to give up?"

"Obviously, there will be no official confirmation on such a decision, the city would most probably be abandoned in silence! At least there is still hope in the situation now, from the past spatial overlap that happened twice, both of them had ended tragically. Now, at least Qin Feng's wife has control over some spatial ability to open up a spatial passage. What would happen next after entering it? There would be no ability users or ancient warriors, who else would be there to facilitate the rescue mission? It would even be an impossible task for the duke! Hence, it is the reason why we were abandoned!"

"Is there any flammable materials on the city wall, else, look for fuel, pour it down, flame them to death!"

"Ah! Quick, go get some, light up the fire!" Guan Shan immediately ordered his people, and he was even assigning tasks to civilians.

The civilians knew that it was a life-or-death moment, they were urged by the aptitude users and began to look around for fuel and flammable materials.

Meanwhile, the jade green vipers were crawling up along the city walls, aptitude users were armed with weapons to cast the vipers away and items were thrown down onto those ultra beasts.

A civilian witnessing the scene finally voiced out a question in mind.

"Aptitude masters, why not use your internal strengths, what about your abilities?"

The question had also drawn attention from the others. When observed carefully, the large crowd was moving everywhere, and there was quite a large portion of the crowd that was equipped with aptitude user badges. After all, the city was always stationed with many aptitude users.

Surprisingly, the aptitude users were mixing together with the civilians. If it was not because of the badges on their chests, nobody would have noticed their identities.

All of them reacted clumsily to the battle, some of the aptitude users were even hiding behind civilians and staying at the most secured spots. They were unwilling to participate in the battle.

"Everyone is in the battle, why are you hiding behind a woman, are you even a man?!"

One of the women voiced out in dissatisfaction.

The man that was pointed out immediately raised his arm and slapped the woman, he roared, "Shut up, whether or not I join the battle is none of your business, who are you to judge me?"

Actually, he was a coward in disguise, an E-tier aptitude user. In Chongluo City, he would not be considered a powerful figure, which was why she questioned him without fear. He was afraid of being exposed, if he were to be sent on a mission, would that not be a death sentence for him?

However, the crowd that was initially unaware of the situation overheard from the quarrel between Li Yuanshan and Guan Shan.

"I overheard that our city is currently overlapped with another dimension, a city that has zero presence of energy. Therefore, the aptitude users are unable to use their abilities, even the ancient warriors are unable to use their ancient battle skills!"

"Is that true? Then, who will protect us?"

"I don't know, I noticed that some of them are still quite powerful!"

The rumour passed on from one to another. The woman that was slapped instantly realized that the man before her was a tiger that had lost his fangs so she immediately raged with anger.

It was an unexpected situation that had caught everyone off guard. The truth was, everyone was irritated, anxious and desperately needed a way to vent out their feelings.

They even felt that they would not survive the day, hence, the woman could no longer contain her sufferings of being bullied as she roared in anger, "How dare you hit me, who do you think you are? I don't care who you are!"

She was a plump and strong woman, approximately one hundred and seventy-five in height, and about two hundred catties in weight. She seemed to be a savage person, and she definitely had some talents up her sleeves that allowed her to gain such excessive weight during the A.C Calendar time.

A palm that was about the size of a cattail-leaf fan was slapped down, and the aptitude user was instantly dazed and could not even react to defend himself.

The others who had witnessed the chaotic scene were all surprised by it.

Chapter 797: The Powerless Ability Users

"Move faster! What are you doing?! This is not the time for quarrels!" Qin Feng yelled out loudly.

Seeing this, Qin Feng instinctively glanced at the forest nearby. He felt that a bigger disaster was coming their way from beyond the woods.

Meanwhile, the fire was burning wilder and wilder. This in turn made the temperature around the walls rise higher, making it difficult for the elderlies and children to remain in the area.

"Retreat!" Qin Feng ordered everyone to retreat, forfeiting the walls.

The situation was rather chaotic. As more and more civilians congregated in the area, things got confusing for the masses when they saw people starting to back away. At the same time, the ability users and ancient warriors, having lost their powers, could not use their voices to control the public, making things even more chaotic.

"Deputy Mayor Guan, what should we do now? Where are we going?"

"Yeah, that passage that opened earlier… will it open again? When can we escape?"

"Minister Li, I heard that the ability users have lost their powers. And where is the army? When are they coming to save us?"

Some civilians had started to question the authorities.

"Who told you that the ability users are now powerless, huh?" Li Yuanshan stopped and stared at the civilian.

At first, the man was intimidated by Li Yuanshan. However, it did not take long for him to notice the wavering looks in Li Yuanshan's eyes. To him, this was the evidence for his conjecture; thus, he loudly asked, "Well, are you powerless or not? You've been outside the walls before. And not even one ability user around has used their powers till now. Are you people really still capable of protecting us? Don't tell me you are trying to escape alone?!"

It was quite understandable for the civilian to be worried about this. If these ability users had lost their powers, this meant that they could not protect everyone like before. Still, these ability users still ordered them around like peons. If monsters attacked them right now, the civilians would be the first to die.

And naturally, the lives of ability users were valuable to the Human Alliance. Therefore, usually, the alliance would be sending people over to save them. Right now, there were many ability users around, including Li Yuanshan and Guan Shan. This meant that a rescue team was definitely on its way.

If they wanted to live, it was in the civilians' best interest to follow Li Yuanshan and Guan Shan around. Yet, they did not want to be ordered into the mouths of these ultra beasts.

Now that they knew that these ability users were powerless, this meant that the public had gotten a hold of their weakness and did not need to fear them!

Li Yuanshan realized something was off when he saw the looks on these peons' eyes. Their eyes were showing that they did not trust him. If they revolted now, it would mean that he would lose his authority overnight!

When Li Yuanshan wanted to openly deny their claim, everyone heard a loud voice coming from the front.

"It's not entirely accurate to say that they have lost their powers. But it is true that the ability users cannot use their powers right now!"

"General Qin…!!" Guan Shan quickly gave Qin Feng a worried look.

However, Qin Feng continued on calmly, "So, right now, don't expect others to protect you. If you want to live, you need to have the will to fight! The will to fight for your lives! Don't rely on others. The best person that can save you right now is yourself!"

Qin Feng was trying to motivate these civilians to buckle up to defend themselves. Right now, no one had the ability to protect them. So, it was true that they needed to fend for themselves at the moment.

However, things were not working as well as he had hoped. Even though some civilians were able to pull themselves together after hearing this, many weak-willed civilians were getting more and more desperate after hearing his words.

"But we have done so much to give them all these riches! We've paid so much taxes! And right now, you're saying that they cannot protect us at all?! And what do we need you all for?! Why should we all go out and fight? How could you ask us to do this?!"

Qin Feng smirked at the man. "You've lived here for all these years. Who do you think were the ones who risked their lives to give you this peaceful, secured life? Who were the ones who ensured that no ultra beasts appeared in the city?"

"They have protected you for half a century. So what if they cannot protect you for just this once? Stop complaining and get yourself a weapon! Go out there and fight! Fight for your life! You know, this crisis could very well be an opportunity for you!"

Qin Feng was able to recover his powers and abilities after devouring the mutated plants. As such, he guessed that perhaps this meant that these civilians could benefit from these plants the same way too.

If these civilians could acquire powers from this dimension, would this mean that when they walked out of here they could also be ability users?

This discovery could totally change the world. Thus, Qin Feng needed to be careful in handling this. Still, he too was hoping that this was a new opportunity for humanity.

After listening to Qin Feng's words, the people who were more strong-willed were now calm. At the same time, the ability users felt relaxed too because they felt that Qin Feng was defending them.

Qin Feng approached Li Yuanshan. "What was written in the message?"

Li Yuanshan handed the piece of note to Qin Feng.

Qin Feng smirked after reading the message. This must be Bai Li's own way of protecting him.

Thus, he quickly announced, "Everyone! Gather in the city center! Tomorrow, someone would open up a passage and send you out."

Upon hearing this, the civilians finally calmed down. So long as they could leave this dreadful place, they were satisfied.

"Minister Li, Deputy Mayor Guan, I'll leave these people to you. I need to head out to handle a special mission. I'll meet up with you later."

"Where are you going?" Even though Li Yuanshan was not happy with Qin Feng, he did not want to see Qin Feng leaving at the moment. Their powers were all sealed at the moment. As such, they did not want to let go of the only person who could defend them.

"It's a mission from an S-tier. So, I must go."

Qin Feng used Z as his excuse without hesitation.

Even though Z was an underworld figure, he was actually an ally to the Human Alliance.

"What?"

"S-tier…!! Oh my!"

After hearing this, they had no choice but to let Qin Feng go.

Chapter 798: Important Research

Li Yuanshan and Guan Shan led the ability users and civilians to slowly move toward the center of the city while Qin Feng darted toward the west side of the city.

At a secret spot of a backstreet, Qin Feng spotted a metal door in the middle of the road. The door was round in shape, like the iron cover for the sewers. There was some mud on top of it too when Qin Feng found them. These were usually disguised as the road around it used the earth abilities of an A-tier. Now that the dimension around was overlapped, the mud had lost its ability to camouflage the door.

Qin Feng opened the door and jumped into it. It was a long fall, about 30 meters downward before he landed. After walking a few steps, he reached another door.

There seemed to be multiple mechanical locks installed on the door; yet, when Qin Feng pushed it lightly, the door opened up!

Under the influence of the spatial overlap, all these high-tech locks had all lost their uses! Even the traps behind the doors were totally unresponsive!

Qin Feng faced no obstacles when he stepped into a lab.

"Wha… What?! Who are you? How did you get in?!"

A man in a lab coat screamed as he pointed his weapon at Qin Feng—it was a gun that even a G-tier could use. And more importantly, this gun could function without the use of runes.

"I was sent by Doctor Z."

This was the name Z told Qin Feng when anyone inside his own facilities asked. It was quite difficult for Qin Feng to call this human-monster a "doctor" though.

"Ah, I see! You're sent by Doctor Z!"

These "researchers" seemed to have let down their guards.

"Yes, Doctor Z asked me to bring the Devourer with me. You should come with me too!" Qin Feng answered.

However, the researchers' responses were totally out of Qin Feng's expectation.

"No, I'll stay!" An old researcher replied as he walked away.

"Yeah, I'm staying too! I need to resume my research on what I discovered this morning!"

"Yes! This project is going to rock the whole world! We'll be remembered forever in human history as great men!"

Unlike the civilians out there, these people seemed to be excited and ecstatic in staying behind. Not only that, Qin Feng could see that all of them were ability users. Even that old researcher who walked away earlier was a B-tier ancient warrior.

It was quite unsettling to stay in this Fettering Land. And yet, they were eager to stay behind?

Qin Feng said, "You can still resume your research when you escape. The most important thing is that you stay alive! Don't you get it? This whole place has succumbed to spatial overlap!"

Before Qin Feng was able to finish his words, one of the researchers shook his head impatiently. "Of course we know what's going on. And this is why we stayed! There are so many fascinating things to study in this dimension! You have no idea how important our research is to the Human Alliance!"

Qin Feng answered coldly, "If you don't escape now, your research would probably stay here forever though. You should know that it's not easy to open an exit back to our world under this spatial overlapped circumstance!"

Some researchers looked at one another, thinking that there was some truth in Qin Feng's words.

Still, these were rather peculiar people. Indeed, they all had obscenely high IQ; but their EQ was quite low. As such, it was quite unrealistic to expect them to respond like ordinary people.

A young researcher opened his mouth, "If you can break through the spatial barrier and come here, you can definitely do the same to go out. Our research is very valuable! I'm sure Doctor Z will support our decision when he knows about it!"

Upon hearing this, Qin Feng too could not help but to be curious about what they were studying on.

Thus, Qin Feng mocked up a cold expression and said, "It'll take a great deal to break through the spatial barrier. As such, I'll need to bring all of you out tomorrow. If you insist on staying behind, then the research better be something really good! You can't possibly expect me to return to Doctor Z empty-handed, right?"

Qin Feng had a few more lines prepared in his head to continue on convincing these quirky people. Yet, before he could continue, they all nodded their heads.

"Come with me!"

The old researcher took Qin Feng's hand and led him into one of the rooms where they were running experiments.

What Qin Feng did not know was that these researchers had been dying to share their research findings. However, they had all been trapped here the whole day, not able to tell anyone.

Now that there was an outsider coming, they wanted to show their findings to him—almost like showing off their new toys. They yearned for people to appreciate and praise them!

Inside the experiment room, Qin Feng saw countless broken glass on the floor spread out around some ultra beasts corpses. It was clear that these ultra beasts were locked inside some kind of containment devices; and when spatial overlap happened, they broke out. Of course, the researchers were able to deal with it rather quickly.

The researchers were surrounding and observing dozens of boxes very keenly. Qin Feng took a glance and saw that there were cockroaches in there—the cockroaches that were the size of a washing basin!

Qin Feng said coldly, "Did you make these?"

He recognized these creatures. These were the same kind of beasts he encountered when he was rescuing Guan Shan.

If these things came out of this lab, Qin Feng felt like slaughtering everyone in the lab! If Z asked, he could just say that the ultra beasts had killed them.

Seeing that Qin Feng was interested, a researcher answered excitedly, "Of course not! These creatures are so interesting! We wouldn't be able to see these things if we did not come to this dimension!"

"This cockroach was just an ordinary cockroach. But we were feeding it a monkey that we killed from the forest a few days ago. Of course, it's not just this cockroach. We also tried it on these ones too. After feeding on its blood, these little ones had morphed!"

He pointed at other boxes as he explained to Qin Feng—these boxes contained other insects like ladybugs, mosquitos etc.

These beasts had mostly evolved into Insectoids in the post-apocalyptic world. Nonetheless, they were still small and large in numbers.

However, right now, they had all changed. The mosquito was about fifty-centimeter in length! If this thing were to suck a human's blood, he would be dead within a minute!

"The cockroach has grown in size! Its strength was enhanced to a new height. It has developed a layer of sturdy shell! If my deduction is correct, this cockroach has evolved into a being as powerful as a razor-fanged infant!"

"And this mosquito… it has grown to this size in just a day… we tested it on…"

"This venomous beetle was about this size yesterday…"

Chapter 799: Reinforcing DNAs

The researcher kept on explaining their research to Qin Feng. Meanwhile, Qin Feng's face was getting grimmer and grimmer. All the researcher did was reminding him of all those cockroaches that he saw the other day—these beasts appeared near some monkey corpses nearby!

This meant that all those beasts that Qin Feng had killed earlier—all those mutated plants and vipers, they would then be devoured and consumed by these insects, which would then mutate them into stronger, more powerful Insectoids.

Qin Feng regretted so much in not destroying those ultra beasts' corpses that he had left behind earlier. The more corpses he left behind, the more dangerous the Insectoids that would be born!

Nonetheless, there was not possibly anything he could do about it since he could not burn these corpses via his fire abilities.

The researchers, not knowing just how severe the situation was out there, might cause another Insectoid wave if they were not careful!

"… and naturally! We theorized that this should work on other creatures of nominal size too. So, we captured an ultra beast. To be honest, if it weren't so weak, we could never have contained it."

The researcher then brought Qin Feng to another place—a room that contained a metallic cage. Inside the cage was a brown ape.

"I don't know if you have encountered this creature out there before. This creature resembles an ape and was originally about as powerful as a G1-tier. However, in just one day, it has grown to G5-tier. Not only that, it is developing to become a beast general! If we allow it to continue to grow, this ape would be totally uncontainable!"

Qin Feng's body was shaking as anger overwhelmed him.

"What did you feed it with?"

There were bones near the ape's feet. They were human bones!

The researcher looked at Qin Feng in confusion before he replied, "With what? Human flesh, of course! We collected the humans that were deceased recently and fed them to the ape. It's such a shame that we don't have any ability user's corpse. We do have a few mutants with us here but they were strong; so, they did not die in battle when facing this dimension's creatures."

Qin Feng was furious when he heard this. He could see that these researchers were indeed feeling some regret that they could not get a hold of some ability users' corpses for the ape. Even though they did not actively go out and kill people—only went out and gathered people who had recently died, Qin Feng still found it very difficult to forgive them.

Of course, owing to the fact that they did not actively go out to murder people, Qin Feng decided to not punish them by slaughtering everyone in the lab.

Nonetheless, Qin Feng felt that these people were all nuts. They were as crazy as Z!

Well, it was quite understandable. These nutcases were all Z's underlings after all!

"Okay. I think I've seen enough. Where's the Devourer? If you don't want to leave, I'll need to at least bring it with me."

Qin Feng did not want to stay there any longer than needed. If he were to know more of their crazy experiments, he might just start slaying everyone!

The researcher, on the other hand, seemed to still want to show more. "Are you sure you don't want to see our other research? There are still so many to show you! Some of them are sure to benefit humankind!"

Then, he kept on talking, "Do you know? These creatures' DNA can reinforce the human DNA!"

"Indeed, there seems to be no power at all in this dimension. But it is actually more complicated than that. In fact, our powers and energies were sapped and absorbed by the animals and plants in this dimension. Every single creature in this world has the ability to absorb energy!"

"So, usually they would absorb each other's energies. But! Now that our world is merged with theirs, they have consumed the energy of our world. Due to the higher intensity of our energies in this world, their creatures evolved almost instantly after absorbing them!"

"Of course, we could also obtain powers by devouring and consuming them. It's like photosynthesis. These creatures have made our energies more potent after absorbing them. And more importantly, they made these energies much easier to consume and be incorporated into the human body. Still, most of what I'm saying here is just based on theory. Too bad we could not get a hold of too many human samples to test the theory. However, a few members here have tried to test it on themselves."

"Still, it would be best if we could get some ordinary civilians for our research. This would make it easier for us to determine if pure, ordinary civilians could evolve rapidly via consuming these creatures!"

Of course, Qin Feng knew about this. He himself had consumed the energies from those mutant plants and it worked. Right now, he was probably the only real B5-tier ability user in this dimension.

Nonetheless, he did not intend to help these mad scientists to prove their theories.

"Okay, okay! I get it. But I still need to bring the Devourer with me. If you're not coming with me, at least bring someone to accompany me so I could manage the beast."

"Alright."

Seeing that Qin Feng did not intend to stay and learn more about what their lab was researching on, the researcher nodded and summoned a person to his side—it was a serious-looking young boy, about thirteen years of age. He had a full head of silver hair and wore a pair of glasses.

"His name is Chu Fan. Don't be fooled by his ordinary looks though!" The researcher pointed a finger at his own head. "This boy is a genius. He has even displayed signs of consciousness manipulation without going through the awakening serum! Right now, he is the only person who can move items using his mind! It's really amazing to see that his abilities have not faded away even though this area has undergone a spatial overlap!"

Qin Feng was surprised to hear this. "So, can you use spatial waymarks?"

Chu Fan pushed the pair of glasses on his nose bridge and answered, "No. My consciousness is a little different than yours."

Qin Feng was a little disappointed to hear that. If one could use spatial waymarks or spatial rune equipment, they could build a barrier around the civilians and extract all of them out of the Fettering Land in one go.

Nonetheless, this was not possible right now.

"Let's go."

"Okay."

Chu Fan nodded as another researcher handed him a small glass bottle. The bottle had an oxygen tank installed in it. When Qin Feng took a look through the bottle, there was a seal-like creature about the size of a mouse residing in it.

'So, this is the Devourer? Damn, it is just a small mouse!'

Still, Qin Feng was grateful that it was not something that was huge. If not, it would be a pain in the ass to bring it out of the Fettering Land.

Chu Fan then brought Qin Feng to a tunnel. Qin Feng frowned as he realized that they were walking toward the direction outside of the city.

"We're going out of the city? Right now the entire city is enveloped in a spatial overlap. If we stray too far away, we might not be able to head back to the city center!"

Chu Fan took a cold glance at Qin Feng and saw his badge and weapon. "This is the path we usually take to go out of the lab. We normally use this path to acquire the research materials."

Upon hearing this, Qin Feng did not stop Chu Fan from leading him further. He was curious as to where this path would bring them.

A few moments later, they reached a door. Chu Fan pushed open the door and, sure enough, they were already out in the open.

Chapter 800: Chu Fan, the Revenger

Not only that, they were now in the middle of a farm! Qin Feng could still see the fire that was burning wildly from afar—this meant that they were somewhere near the place he retreated earlier!

Qin Feng's face turned grim immediately. "We can't stay here. We need to go right now!"

The place was outside of the city walls. Qin Feng had cut down a lot of mutated plants nearby earlier; so, there was a huge surge in the mutated vipers' population in the area.

Qin Feng actually knew that this was going to happen though. Every living being in this dimension was now brimming with energy. Therefore, the vipers would definitely come and devour these plants, resulting in them evolving to their ultra neast forms!

Appearing right in the middle of this farm was like appearing in the middle of the enemy's headquarters on the battlefield. Chu Fan essentially brought them straight into the monsters' nests.

"Hahahahahahahaha!!!!"

Suddenly, Chu Fan let out a maniacal laugh.

The boy was still young and had not awakened his abilities yet. However, right now he looked like a creepy ghost that could take one's life in a blink of an eye.

"I'm free! I'm finally free!!"

Chu Fan cried out loudly as he pulled out his gun and fired at Qin Feng.

The bullet landed at where Qin Feng was standing.

Seeing this, Qin Feng stopped moving around and opened his mouth, "It would appear that you have some grudges against Z. This is actually a good thing. I'll have you know that even though I've received his mission, I actually am not affiliated to him at all. In fact, I'm more of an enemy of Z's. He wanted to capture me and take my blood sample, and do experiments on me."

As he finished his words, Chu Fan threw his hands in the air and emitted invisible, pulsating energy waves. A few moments later, Qin Feng could hear something rustling through the bushes behind Chu Fan.

"Be careful! There are poisonous snakes behind you!" Qin Feng cried out to warn the boy. However, it did not take long for him to realize that these vipers had all crawled past Chu Fan and started to surround him instead. These vipers had totally ignored Chu Fan!

Qin Feng understood instantly what was going on—these vipers were now under Chu Fan's control.

Chu Fan cried out in panic. The boy finally knew that Qin Feng was no pushover. He quickly took out a grenade and tossed it onto the ground.

The vipers, after receiving Chu Fan's consciousness' order, lunged straight into the fire one by one. Then, they entangled the dead, burned vipers in the fire and grabbed them.

Chu Fan took out a dagger and skinned these dead vipers before he started eating them. He was eating them like he had not eaten for days!

Of course, he was not hungry. These were not food that he was eating—it was power!

A moment later, he sliced a piece of the burned vipers' meat as he took out a bottle.

"Come on, baby! Bon appetit!"

The small "mouse"—the Devourer then raised its head to smell the meat that was handed to it before grabbing it with its forelegs.

Then, it started to consume the meat.

A few seconds later…

The bottle started to crack as the Devourer inside suddenly grew rapidly to the size of a palm.

Chapter 801: New Awakening

While the Devourer reared by Chu Fan was eating up those poisonous vipers outside of town, different events were happening at different locations around the town.

Those people who were saved by Qin Feng had shuffled toward the city one after another as instructed by their savior.

As they spoke, someone among them had already taken their guns out and was ready to give Wang Qin a bullet to the head.

Wang Qin was perspiring heavily. Strangely enough, every nerve in her body was jolted alive. She could almost sense the malicious intent of her pursuers through her hairs and pores. It seemed like everything had slowed down dramatically. She saw a row of shelves with some knives displayed on it. Without further consideration, she took out one of the sharper-looking ones.

'No big deal, we can just die together. These haughty aptitude users! It would be worth it if I can bring one of them to hell with me.'

Wang Qin's eyes were now filled with violent rage. She turned back, determined to put her life on the line.

It was at this moment, there suddenly came a deep roaring sound.

The scent of blood rushed in through their nostrils. Only now they realized the messy state of the supermarket. The front door was forced through and there were bloodstains everywhere.

By the time they realized the imminent danger, it was already too late. Following the sound, their sights went sideways with their eyes widening.

A huge tiger was standing right at the corner of the supermarket.

The sword of the ancient warrior pierced right into the other eye of the tiger. However, the tiger had reached his stomach first and tore his abdomen apart.

After that, the tiger turned to Wang Qin and pounced on her.

"Ahhhhh!" Wang Qin shrieked. She brandished the weapon in her hand wildly. The kitchen knife coincidentally hit the handle of the longsword put into the tiger's eye by the D-tier ancient warrior.

The sword pierced deeper into the tiger's bone and penetrated its skull.

Wang Qin was still brandishing the weapon with her eyes closed, unaware that the tiger was already dead. She continued attacking the tiger until blood splashed all over her face!

Eyeballs, blood, and the brain. She devoured everything greedily.

A powerful force soon filled her body. Even her breathing rhythm had changed. Her strength was inflated rapidly.

Wang Qin now possessed a power that she has never dreamed of. From an ordinary person, she had completed her transformation into an aptitude user.

"Nice to meet you." Qin Feng shook their hands. It seemed that all the B-tiers trapped inside Chungluo City had been found. They had managed to survive the unforeseen disaster.

Not only that but they had also constructed adequate defensive measures. Unfortunately, they did not have enough force to help the others. The leader of the group was obviously the highest rank officer, Ning Xin.

He, like Qin Feng, was a general of the Huaxia Alliance.

"Let's talk inside."

Ning Xin led Qin Feng into the villa and began to explain their encounter after the overlapping occurred.

Qin Feng's eyes narrowed in on them. He first saw a man wearing nothing else but a boxer. Then, the half-naked man caught up to the lady quickly and grabbed her from behind. He crudely gave her a heavy slap.

The lady was not a powerless commoner, yet she was unable to match the man's brute physicality. All she could do was yell at the man, "Zhang Wu, we have been blinded all these years to keep a disgraceful man like you as our personal bodyguard. I would rather die than be defiled."

The man cupped the lady's face and dislocated her jaw to prevent her from biting her own tongue.

"Hahahaha! I am tired of your dignity sh*t. Who are you keeping it for? Jiang Haolin has probably died out there. You would have long been feasted upon by beasts too if not because of me. I am only asking for some gratitude on the bed. Stop f*cking around with me, you b*tch! Who do you think you are?"

Qin Feng walked out from the villa as the two were quarreling. He immediately figured out the identity of the lady after hearing the man mentioned Jiang Haolin.

"Lin Yuting?"

The lady looked up and sized Qin Feng up curiously. She then saw the men behind Qin Feng and threw them a resentful look.

They had all watched her being dragged away just now and did nothing about. Nobody cared about a woman's fate in this circumstance.

It was because Lin Yuting offered almost nothing to help their survival, while they were also unsure of Jiang Haolin's fate. Judging by the condition of the two hapless aptitude users, they believed Jiang Haolin had most likely been shredded out there.

"So what if I do? I have saved everyone and you guys still want to order me around like a dog! I may have kept quiet in the past but I no longer need to now. I can have whatever I want here. If I want to sleep with her, I sleep with her! Otherwise, I will wreck all of you, one by one in the most excruciating way possible. Don't think I am joking. Aptitude users like you are worthless here." Zhang Wu glared at Qin Feng viciously.

Qin Feng's anger was at full blast. "Great. What if I don't let you? Are you going to f*ck air?"

"D*mn! I am going to beat you to death!"

Zhang Wu yelled angrily. Qin Feng was obviously a troublemaker. Right now, Zhang Wu was eager to establish his authority. He had managed to deter Ning Xin and the others earlier. Qin Feng's sudden rebellion displeased him.

It was the third-day Chungluo City had succumbed to the overlapped space.

The city seemed to have reinvigorated slightly as the dawn chased away the night of melancholy. Nonetheless, the cityscape was vastly different as compared to three days ago.
