Attempted Suicide

The next day, in the afternoon.

Flower who had already been taken to her room and layed on the bed was gradually starting to wake up from her state of unconsciousness.

The moment she opened her eyes and welcomed reality, her neck began to acknowledge an excruciating anguish. It ached extremely painful to the extent that Flower couldn't move her neck or turn her face simultaneously. The pain also affected her whole body as they all ached brutally in one accord.

Flower winced in pain. Then tears began to drip from her eyes and down to her cheeks. She reminisced back to everything that transpired with Anthony yesterday, then an unfathomable rage began to establish itself inside Flower.

She clenched her fist and frowned whilst crying.

'I can't believe that creepy scoundrel tried to kill me just because of a weak punch. I can't help but want to punch him more and more. Such a good-for-nothing creepy scoundrel. I fucking hate him! Beast!'

Flower's neck was present overwhelmed up with a cervical collar. Definitely to improve and hasten up her neck injuries healings, since it had been fractured by good old Anthony the great.

Slowly and carefully, Flower uplifted herself from the sleeping position that they had all made her assume. She was finally able to claim a sitting position after lots of whimperings, grunting and whining.

'My body aches so badly all thanks to that creepy scoundrel. I'm never going to forgive that beast for doing this to me. How could someone even do such a thing to someone they claimed that they love. Some stupid type of love he has for me.'

"Hmph!" Flower attempted an hmph, however to Flower's surprise nothing came out. This made her overly suspicious and scared. Therefore, she attempted a word again.

"…" Flower attempted, still yet nothing came out. Flower screamed and shouted, notwithstanding, not even a mere whistle came out of her mouth. Flower attempted another word over and over and over again. Even so, nothing came out.

She then reasoned that Anthony's grip on her neck must have done some severe damage on her throat. Leaving them useless and lifeless for Flower to have. Flower began to cry more and more with no sounds coming out of her mouth. Only the wet liquids that amalgamated her face made it obvious that she was crying.

Currently, not even a caterpillar could contain the amount of hatred, resentments, grudges, irritation, hostility, annoyance, anger and ire which she was feeling towards Anthony. Her hatred for him has multiplied by hundred. At this point Flower couldn't bare to see his attractive but annoying face. She resented him to the core and wished him nothing but death just like he had attempted on her.

'I hate you, beast! Scoundrel! Creepy piece of shit. You've taken my voice away from me. I hope you're happy now, you good-for-nothing scoundrel! I fucking hate you! Creep!' Flower said all this words, picturing Anthony's face in her head.

She could only curse him inwardly, this was the only way to vent her anger against Anthony inwardly. Since Flower couldn't talk or move her body and neck properly, everything was starting to annoy her.

'Why should I even bother about living anymore? What's the usefulness of life when there's no hope? Would I just wait here and await the day he would finally take my life? No! I'll have to take my life before he does. I can't simply live like an helpless lab rat,' she thought.

'He has attempted to kill me already. The next time he gets angry again, it wouldn't be an attempted murder, it would be a real murder.'

'I'll rather die by my hands that to have a scummy like him kill me! He has taken my voice already, the next thing he is going to take his my life.'

Haggardly and exhaustively, Flower got up from the bed with excess struggles and whimperings. The more the pain get to her, the more her hatred for Anthony flourished and thrive through.

Flower knew exactly how to take her life, it was a plan which she had been contemplating about for a while now. She just didn't have the audacity to do such, however, now that she was greatly fatigued and tired about live. Flower presently now has null choice but to do what she had instigated beforehand.

Flower supported her unstable neck which was overwhelmed with cervical collar, with both hands due to the unfathomable anguish that was being established by the neck pain. She walked groggily towards the side of the room where the window was perfectly hidden behind some white curtains.

'Swoosh!'

Flower shifted the curtains aside with one of her hands. As much as it appeared as though Flower had walked towards the curtains and shifted it aside with ease, however this wasn't the case for Flower and the state she was in at present.

Every steps she took towards the direction of the window were being taken with excess pain and sluggishly, she would walk two step and relax her aching body again—not like the relaxing would reduce the pain. With every step she took, abundant tears would rain down her cheeks like showers of blessing.

And when Flower was finally at the window side—with excess difficulties. She pulled the curtains aside—also with excess whimperings and difficulties.

Flower glanced outside the window without opening it yet, she could see through it since it was a transparent one. All that Flower's eyes met with were bunches of thick forest and mountains amalgamated in snow from top to bottom. Knowing that the room that was given to her was located at the upper part of the building. She couldn't think of a more better way to commit suicide than to jump off from the window and down to the ground. In that way, even if she was scared about dying, after falling she wouldn't be able to rethink her decision, it would be too late. Thus, definitely, this was a perfect way to end her useless life.

Flower opened the window by sliding it aside. Although it was a slightly small window, even so, it was still suitable for commiting suicide.

Upon opening it, Flower's face met with an exuberant wind capacity. The cold wind chased her black hairs backwards away from her head. Flower shivered tenderly due to the bone-chilling coldness. There was definitely no chance of surviving if she was to embody such fall. Indeed, this was what Flower wanted.

'Can I do so?'

With great difficulties and bountiful tears and whimperings, Flower climbed the edge of the window.

She sniffled occasionally.

Her heartbeat accelerated, perceiving imminent danger and possible death, Flower's body trembled fearfully. 'I didn't know that commiting suicide can be so hard like this. Oh heavens. I don't think I can do this. I don't think I can."

Flower sat still there for awhile without making any move.

'Gosh! How can taking my own life be so difficult for god sake?!'

Flower was presently sitting down on the edge of the window. Both her legs were dangling in midair at the outer part of the mansion. It's only a matter of minutes before she would finally fall off.

Flower panted profusely.

She closed her eyes and sluggishly shifted herself forward. Moving more closer to the edge of the window with every seconds that drifted by.

Flower was about to fall off, when suddenly she pulled herself back. Endless dread overcame her delicate body and face.

'No! I don't think I can do this! I can't!'

'I just can't. As much as I hate being trapped here I simply can't take my life. I can't leave my mum alone in this world, she has done a lot for me and now I'm going to take the life she gave me?!'

'No! For my mum's sake, I need to survive and escape from this awful place. I just simply can't commit suicide. I'm sorry! I just can't.'

'Dying… dying is such an hard thing to do. I just can't! I'll have to escape from here by all means. I need to see my dear mum once again. She has already lost Amanda and Dad and also Julius who was like a son to her. And now she is going to lose me too.'

'I need to stop being selfish. I have to survive, if not for me but for my mum. I… I can't do this. I just can't.'

This was what Flower thought last, before someone hastily pulled her backwards with force and into the room. It was Horatio, he had a worried look on his slightly wrinkled old face. "Young Lady…?!"

He swiftly carried Flower into his arms and supported her to regain balance, fearing and knowing what exactly Flower was attempting to do and what would have happened if he hadn't quickly been there to stop Flower's actions.

His eyes was filled with profound worries and pity, like that of a father towards his only daughter. Worriedly, he spoke;

"Young Lady?!" He said, trying to get Flower's attention since the girl was still attempting to maintain balance, "Young Lady, what were you trying to do?" Horatio asked. Seeing that he wasn't getting any reply, shortly after that, he added another question, "Are you alright?"

Flower swallowed hard, her tears were still flowing and her body were trembling slightly. She couldn't speak and Horatio was presently asking her if she was alright. It was clearly obvious that Horatio was hopeless about her current situation.

Flower continued crying non-stop. Not really paying attention to Horatio's words.

Noticing that it was hopeless trying to talk to Flower while she was crying and not uttering any words. Horatio led Flower to the bed and made her sit down. Flower still didn't say anything, she just followed Horatio like a duckling.

After supporting Flower to sit down, Horatio promptly went towards the window and shut it. He then shifted his gaze towards Flower.

"Young Lady, please relax and stop crying. You're going to be fine and your injuries are going to heal up soon. Please calm down and breath properly."

"Let me get you some water," he said and hastily went towards the table and poured a cup of water for Flower from the jug which was also present there.

After doing so, he determinedly brought the water towards Flower.

"Have this, Young Lady," he said.

Flower welcomed the cup of water from Horatio and hugged it with her hands, then she gulped it down. And when she was done, she handed it back to Horatio. Horatio also received it and placed it back on the table where it was on beforehand.

"I'll go and get Young Master right away," Horatio said looking towards Flower who angrily shooked her head aggressively. Showing that she was declining Horatio's offer about summoning Anthony over here.

Flower couldn't bare to see that scoundrel's face. It would only cause her more sorrows and overwhelming dread, and since she couldn't say a word and knowing that she had lost her precious voice. All Flower could do now was to involve herself in using a nonverbal communication method.

Horatio raised an eyebrow, "You don't want me to call Young Master?" He asked confusedly, still a little bewildered by Flower's ways of communicating.

Flower nodded with a frown and a moue. She sniffled multiple times due to the slimy liquids that were dripping down from her nose.

Hesitantly, Horatio replied, "Okay…"

"How about I bring Regina over here then? Would you prefer that?" He asked.

Flower nodded, indicating that she was fine with that suggestion.

Horatio then reasoned that perhaps Flower wasn't able to speak yet due to her wounded throat. Although he knew that Flower was heavily wounded on her neck, however, he didn't know what caused it. Meaning that Horatio was overly clueless about the whole situation and what Anthony had done to rude Flower.

"Okay then…" Horatio finally replied, "I'll be right back. Please don't attempt that again, calm down. I'll be right back."

With that said, Horatio left the room and went out of the door. Locking it from outside as usual.
