The Deal

A whole month would pass since what happened at the HP Hotel, during the time many would begin to become uneasy. The Crime rate began to increase a bit more day by day,  however the thing that had cops and Mr.Nakayama really turning heads was the white rabbit and his connection to everything. The Dragon gang members caught afterwards wouldn't spill a thing and some who did gave no good leads.

The trail was cold again, for now. It was the weekend and back home Kibe was cooking himself some lunch. Wearing a black turtle neck, black pants and slippers and a apron. As he did, his brain would once again expand into thought.

The time was 4:30 PM.

"I'd like to ask a question, what makes man so special? As deduced countless times they as a species are immensely beneath every animal on the planet. Even fungi have a evolutionary edge over us. Plants need only the sun and water to sustain themselves, fish and mammals are not inhibited to or held back by wants. Merely just the need to live, nothing more. They are mentally behind in the provisionary pyre that they even begin to question simplistic things that no other does. Things like the need to reproduce or rather or genders are what they should be, humanity is a flawed species built off of made up rules and illogical concepts.

The moment they failed as a species, was the moment subjectivity was taken into account rather than the objectivity of the preservation of their race. If they did, then maybe murders and serial killers would not exist." Kibe thought to himself as he then cut the raw salmon in half. He then started his rice cooker next to him which he had already made the rice inside. Kibe then grabbed a bottle of water from the refrigerator and began to drink it. He then got his phone and began to play some classical music.  Specifically, Mozart - Rondo Alla Turca.

"Which brings me to my next point, what is hunting? Is it simply just a sport or perhaps a chance for them to regain some footing over they're hopeless existence, to hopefully find clarity where they're egos once existed and now only shambles remain.

If God created man in his image, then God is a murderer. To kill animals and the creatures on this planet is game, but to kill man as another man.

Now that...that is God's game." Kibe thought as he finally finished dicing his salmon and would put it in to a fryer. He continued to cook his food as his mother walked around getting he things ready as she talked on the phone. Kibe looked at the diced salmon and reflected on those he had killed.

"Kibe" his mother said, but Kibe couldn't hear her.

"...So what does it mean when something man made kills them? What does death mean to a machine?" Kibe thought to himself

"Kibe" his mother shouted this time, but Kibe was too intangled in his own thoughts.

".. .It wouldn't be murder, no, murder is only murder if equality exist. In a world where status and money rule there can exist no such thing. Therefore I have murdered no one, simply put. I have put down the sick." Kibe thought as he continued to fry his salmon. Looking down at each diced piece as if it were the souls of those lost in his wake. He then picked up a piece of fried salmon, he looked at it carefully. Making sure each inch of it had been cooked to perfection, he then gently and quickly put it into his mouth.

"KIBE!" his mother shouted, Kibe's eyes were closed at the taste. It was...hm, he couldn't quite put his finger on just what it was it tasted like. If it was good or just...bland.

"Yuyi." Kibe said as he opened his eyes and then looked to his mother. She was wearing a long turtleneck with an overcoat, her normal black purse and had make-up on of course. Her hair was glossed and looked beautiful aginst the light. Almost like it desired to shine on her to showcase what the darkness didn't.

"Yes?" Kibe asked, his voice still plain and calming.

"I'm heading back to work, something came up. Think you can manage without me? Without getting in trouble?" She said

"Of course." Kibe said, his mother then walked over and gave him a hug before she left. Kibe looked down back to his food he was cooking, however that's when he'd get a phone call. Kibe looked over and saw the caller ID had a K on it. Just one letter? How odd he thought. He wiped his hands off and turned off everything he was cooking with, he then walked to his backyard and answered the phone.

"Hello Nori Kibe." Said a voice

"Greetings, I assume that you getting a hold of my number, let alone knowing my name is something I should be worried about?" Kibe said

"Oh, I doubt you'd be worried about something like this." Said the voice, Kibe couldn't quite distinguish the voice. They were using some sort of voice modifier, something to keep him from guessing who they were. However, not even technology could fool Kibe, he was able to tell from the voice it was female. All other traits about her were however much harder to distinguish.

"You'd be right, this just makes me all the more interested in who you might be. Though I reckon I won't be getting that information any time soon. Yes?" Kibe asked

"Incorrect, I don't want to work aginst you Kibe, quite the opposite. Recent events have shown me better, meet with me today. We'll talk over lunch." The voice said

"Where?" Kibe asked as he looked towards his basement doors.

"Meet me at the DinnerMan restaurant. Don't be late." Said the voice as it hung up, Kibe then got on his phone and attempted to trace it, but couldn't get anything.

"Whatever signal they used to contact me is either old or something top of the line. Impressive." Kibe thought as he then closed his phone and walked back inside. He went to his room and got his clothes togther, wearing a white turtleneck and put a pair of reading glasses in his pocket. He then left his home, locked the door and began to walk deep into town. As he did he made notes of all the little changes that had come up since last month. There were a few more cops driving down streets, though only occasionally. He'd see quite a few less people just walking around and even a protester. Talking about how the White Rabbit has given life and excitement back to the world where most thought it dead.

Eventually he'd arrive to the dinner called the DinnerMan, it was this very old fashioned restaurant, Kibe walked inside. A waiter set him down at a booth and he sat down. Kibe looked around and outside for a moment, he saw two people across the street arguing and fighting with one another. However his vision would get obscured as three tall men wearing black suits would walk past his window, they stopped at the door to which it opened without them touching it. Thats when he saw what actually happened, it wasn't magic. Just a shorter person. She also was wearing a white turtleneck, she was blonde, silver eyes, a black band on her hair and looked to be about 5'5...maybe a inch less. Kibe watched as she walked over to him and would sit down across for him. Kibe looked around once more and noticed the whole place was empty, besides them.

"Greetings." Kibe said

"Greetings" said the girl, she was smiling at him, but it wasn't one of joy more like pent up smile. A smile that someone would give when they're confident or when they know something someone else doesn't. Kibe looked at her and shockingly, he couldn't even read her. He couldn't get a feel for her current mood, what kind of person she was or so on. It was like staring at a brick wall. Everything he saw is what was there.

"Its been a long time, Nori Kibe." Said the girl

"You know me? Thats quite interesting, cause I have no recollection of you. Which gets me to my first question, just who are you? If I may ask." Kibe asked, the girl nodded her head and stood up straight. Just like Kibe. Her face then became something else, no emotion was present. She was holding her eye contact almost eerily. For once when Kibe looked at someone's face, they didn't reassemble a human. Instead her face was like his, cold, calculated...almost like a doctor looking at a unconscious patient. With them now in the driver seat and capble of doing whatever it is they desire.

"My name is Kiko." She said, Kibe tilted his head a bit.

"No last name?" Kibe asked

"The name I've given you now will suffice, there is no reason for the two of us to get too personal. As I consider keeping a distance from to be one of my goals." She said, the waiter then came over to them. Kibe looked outside once more before looking back at Kiko, and then the waiter

"Hey there, what will you two like to drink?" Asked the waiter

"I-" Kibe then put his hand up, Kiko stopped as she looked at him.

"I got it." Kibe said, Kiko then motioned for him to order. Kibe's eyes then looked to her again, his brain once again faster than he was.

"Her stance may be bland and her facial features average, but her taste isn't. A white turtleneck, she isn't poggish, but also loves luxury. Her hair is straight, bobcut. Her ends are even. She's a perfectionist. Her size could also add to this hypothesis, but she dosent at all come off as if her size deluds her. No, not one bit. She's not self conscious. If anything she looks to be too self aware." Kibe thought, he then looked to the waiter.

"Some green tea for my lady friend and I'll have some black tea." Kibe said the waiter nodded, worte down their order and walked away. Kibe looked over to Kiko who gave a small nod.

"Great job." Kiko said

"On what? I simply ordered you a drink I felt best fit you." Kibe said

"Yes, so luck is it? You guessed my favorite tea...on luck. Alright. " Kiko said with a smirk as she looked outside, Kibe followed her eyes, all that was outside the window was a another clothing store, some large buildings in the background and of course the nice morning sun which shined from behind the DinnerMan.

"So, enough with the sights then. How about we start getting down to the real meat of this get-together." Kibe said as Kiko looked at him.

"I couldn't agree more." Kiko said, the two stared at one another for a moment. Thats when it began, where Kibe's view on his situation would shift.

"The information that Takashi and the other council members have is, confidential. I need you to assist me in getting it back and keeping them from spreading it." Kiko said

"What information?" Kibe asked

"The info you've been chasing to get. The secret that Akia told them, but didn't tell you." Kiko said, Kibe was taken aback at this, but still held himself togther. His front never faltering.

"I request elaboration." Kibe said

"Gina Akia got her hands on some important information, its not known how yet, but there was a leak. Likely from the inside, regardless it got out and she intended to tell others. Who? We still don't know. Thats beside the point though, you've been giving them quite the chase. You're return to activity has brought me to a position of which I once observed; I now desire to be active." Kiko said

"What does this mean, if you don't mind me asking again." Kibe asked

"I want your aid, this information can't be let out into the public and colleagues wish I get this back; before the leak becomes national news." Kiko said, thats when they're drinks would arrive. Kiko and Kibe nodded as Kiko took a sip of her drink, her eyes met with Kibe who didn't drink his and just stared at her.

"This information must be pretty damning, if national news would care to cover it. So that brings me to my next question, what is it?" Kibe asked

"Information about and surrounding the organization I come from." Kiko said

"You did mention others and what sounds like a business? What is it?" Kibe asked

"Something like the FBI and CIA, but far more advanced than that." Kiko said

"And some information got leaked? Not so advanced if you ask me." Kibe said

"Its like I said, they don't know what happened, all I've been told is to keep it from going public." Kiko said as she took another sip from her tea. Kibe looked at his and gently stirred it around.

"So, you want to finally tell me my big part in this. Why I'm being picked." Kibe said

"This information, if it gets out won't just be damaging to the organization, it'll be damaging to it's assets. Which means you too." Kiko said, Kibe's eyes opened a little wider at this information.

"Me? I'm an asset of this company?" Kibe asked

"Why do you think you remembering what happened to you 7 years ago is so difficult for you, that you're a absolute genius. Working so well at everything you do, like a well oiled machine. "Kiko said

"You're saying that they are responsible for my intellect? My knowledge and experience?" Kibe asked

"I'm saying they are more like teachers, but...not the most ethical. They don't make geniuses Nori what they do is they steer you in the right direction, give you all the tools and then let you mold yourself. It just so happens you went beyond they'reexpectations. " Kiko said

"What else?" Kibe asked, he knew a liar when he saw one, but-

"How do you know I'm not a liar?" She asked, Kibe then noticed he had edged closer, a sign he was of interest in what she was telling him. Although true, he had unknowingly given her control over his emotional state for a brief moment. Something only done to him by his mother when he was six and desired a toy for Christmas. He intended to not let it happen again. Kiko watched as Kibe fixed his posture and sipped his tea.

"Liars are easy to spot, rather it be through facial movements, physical distinctions and of course change in tempo and tone shifts.

A good liar can do the things any liar can, without showing signs." Kibe said

"And if i have none of those things? How do you tell then?" Kiko asked

"Then I would simply tell if you were or weren't." Kibe said

"That didn't answer my question." Kiko said

"I don't know how to tell you without me sounding crazy, I'm not guessing and I don't even require previous conversations or to have shared a dialect with anyone. I just know, unless you're someone like myself. Which you clearly are not." Kibe said, Kiko chuckled a bit as Kibe kept eye contact and sipped his tea. He'd lick his lips for a moment before putting his cup down.

"It would seem our goals are shared, but what happens if I decide to do this my way?" Kibe asked as his hand grabbed his spoon. Kiko looked at his motion and then back to him.

"Then this becomes...annoying." she said, thats when her eye looked over to towards outside the window. Kibe's eyes then looked outside too, glints of light coming from the taller buildings in the background shined in his eye. One from one building and two from another.

"Glints of lights? Thats definitely coming off of a sniper, those must be at least Nr.8s; german sniper rifles. The distance from town to the city is at leat almost two hours worth of a drive. Silencers for sure, damn. She has me cornered. Which mean she's also wired too. Clever very clever." Kibe thought as he stirred his tea with his spoon.

"So? What will it be?" Kiko asked

"Is there really such a thing as choice in a interesting situation like this?" Kibe asked

"The illusion of choice can often be a choice in of itself, now choose. Do this with me and I will guarantee you get answers too." Kiko said, Kibe drank the last of his tea as he then placed it down.

"I accept." Kibe said

"GREAT! God you know how to make things difficult, now then. Nothing has changed. You'll still be getting the information only this time. I need you to guarantee it will not be leaked to anyone else outside the student council." Kiko said

"I meant to ask, but how do you know of them anyway?" Kibe asked

"I'm the treasure in their ranks." Kiko said

"You're the Sawa high treasure? That does explain a few things." Kibe said

"They want it seamless, not like your charade with those goons outside the auditorium." Kiko said

"It'll be as if they never existed." Kibe said

"I know, the organization never has once questioned you're capabilities, which is probably why they haven't interfered with you." Kiko said, Kibe couldn't get them out of his head. The organization. Just what kind of underground operation is this? And just how involved were they with him? Kibe had millions of questions, but he knew he'd get them. Soon.

Eventually Kiko and Kibe left the restaurant.

"Thank you for joining me for lunch, it's been fun." Kiko said as a black car with tinted windows drove in front of them. Kibe walked over and opened the door for her as she got in.

"Agreed, its been very; educational." Kibe said

"Oh and take this." Kiko said, she then handed him a phone. It had a black back and a blue trim around it. Kibe looked at it. A logo of a brain with numbers around it was on the back.

"I already have a phone." Kibe said

"This one is with us. It dosent connect to any signal on the planet besides ones owned by us. Its untappable, can't be hacked and of course calls me. You seem to be doing good with the phone you have, but this is for the best. It keeps us close. Don't lose it." Kiko said

"Interesting gift." Kibe said

"More like returning what was yours." Kiko said, before Kibe could say anything though she drove off. Kibe watched her drive away, he then looked at the phone and turned it on. It required facial recognition which it got from him. There were no apps or anything on there. Just one icon which was for calling. Kibe then looked up at the sky. The world no felt more different than ever, what did all this mean? Could she really be trusted?

So many questions and so little time, he needed to get his mind straight. Not only that, now he had a deadline and he couldn't miss one moment. As Kibe walked home, all.the way across town, Mr.Nakayama was sitting at the hospital. Inside of a room he was sat across from a wounded Juo who had a steady heartbeat while he was in a coma.
