There are many mechanics in the Colosseum and they are mostly paired up with their pilots, these mechanics are mostly for fine-tuning and adjusting, they also double as some kind of information center when in battle because some pilot forgets to check some important things on their machine-like the energy and how much ammo is left.

They are like those staff at the pitstop of car racing sports.

The drones can only repair mechs based on preprogrammed specs and blueprints and not more.

"Oh..." Soran was startled a bit from that shaking but he quickly calmed down and his expression was not even affected, still the same sharp look. "I'm fine."

"You seem out of it though, it's already been an hour since you got out of that cockpit.

You should be quite used to being banged up already from all the practice you did before, right?" the mechanic partner said.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Soran said as he got up from the patient's bed and then started walking back into the hangar to immediately start repairing the machine assigned to himself.

Yeah, he helps in doing things on his machine so that he would be more familiar with it.

"Damn, man. You are going to work already?

Aren't we going to continue watching the fights?" The guy said with an exasperated tone.

That made Soran pause for a bit before going in a different direction, onto the arena sits.

"Yeah, that's what I thought too!

Good bro!" The guy said loudly with a cheeky smile on his face.

They then watched the battles until the end.

Most staff of the Colosseum are allowed to watch the matches, only the ones that are needed somewhere or on duty are not allowed.

"I was thinking about the reason why I lose and thinking about what to do." Soran said honestly as he knows that this guy will certainly pester him if he did not answer honestly.

This noisy and active guy was specifically arranged by his manager to be his mechanic partner based on his personality.

I think it was because you did the same thing as everyone else and everyone else has more experience than you are.

They, AA, Marianne, CC, and Nunnally, are currently in one of AA's hidden space bases, a hollowed huge asteroid near earth.

This one is very big and a bit stationary, it was only accidentally discovered by Veda what earth was passing by the place it was on before.

AA then made it so that it would follow an orbit around the sun just like earth, it is farther to the sun than planet earth so it has to move faster by a bit just so it would be able to just follow from the back, not getting closer or farther.

"Wow!" Nunnally exclaimed loudly as she hopped around while looking everywhere.

"This place seems good." Marianne said with a nod as she felt that this surely feels so sci-fi.

"This place is quite far from earth, and the whole base should be very big right?

Just transporting the amount of sakuradite needed to power up this place would be a problem already.

How are you powering up this place?

And bullshit me with solar energy cause I did not see any solar panels outside.

Using panels would expose this place to the outside world so you would surely not use that as the power source!" CC said as she observed the place.
