The two of them just circled at each other for a few seconds as they built up momentum and gathered up concentration so that they would not make any mistake.

The both of them already knows that this will be the final collision for the two of them as they both know that if Rey is not taken down in this round then Char would and vise versa.

Every card they can take out has already been taken out!

This is the final round!

"Char!/Rey!" The two of them shouted at almost the same time which fcking shocked and startled Fraye as she watched everything happening in full concentration.

She can feel the tension and the pressure exuding from both sides.

This two men are about to give it their all in one attack!

Rey then dive down in a parabola while Char flew up in a parabola in response.

The two of them, as if they had talked about it, is bound to meet at the end of each other's parabola!

Char Transformed first which reduced his momentum significantly but it's okay, as the advantage of being in the higher 'ground' added more power into his planned attacked.

Rey's machine is finely configured by Fraye so it only needed a second to transform that's why he made sure to accumulate momentum as much as possible.

Many people might think that he is being stupid for not taking the so called higher ground for himself, but he gave this advantage to Char just to make sure that Char would fight him in a direct confrontation!

Because he knows that Char would definitely not fight in a direct confrontation against him if he stacked up all the advantages between them, Char would have just continued to hinder and harass him for as long as he can.

And that would not do, because Rey's knightmare's energy is quite low already while Char's machine still have a long operating time remaining!

Giving up some advantage so that he can quickly end the enemy is the smartest choice.

Char also knows this specially since he is the smarter one between the two of them, that's why he made the upward parabola immediately after he saw that Rey made the a dive downwards.

The world felt like it slowed down again!

The collision of the two future ace pilots made it so! Maybe they are already ace pilots now, even!

The two of them should have been evenly matched at this time.

But the long time needed to transform for Char made his machine unbalanced after it cut through the wind when transforming while Rey's machine remained as steady as an old dog because of the momentum and the fast transformation.

The two of them directly collided with their swords and that made the loud sound of metal collision rang out.

Char's machine trembled wildly because of it's unbalanced state and that made him put more effort in stabilizing his machine rather than continue with another attack.

But Rey can! And that's what he did!

He made a semi spinning motion by pivoting from the part where their swords meet and using the knightmare frame's waist to do a spinning kick.

It hit one of the boosters of Char's machine while also throwing him down towards the ocean!

"Rey! This is not the end!" Char can only shout back as he was trying hard to take control of and balance the machine back as he gritted his teeth with veins in his head even showing from the frustration he is feeling.

Rey just snorted at that but he did not bother to attack again as he is racing against time already.

He is now in the surrounding waters of Britannia so it is already expected for the battleships and carriers of the empire to be quite near.

This is why he just skedaddle from here and onto his destination as quickly as he can.

Char can only watch in frustration as Rey got away, turned into a dot until he can't be seen by the knightmare frame's monitoring cameras anymore.

He then did manage to take control of and balance the machine back but he did not bother to chase Rey as he already checked the damages he got from the earlier altercations.

He knows that with one booster not functioning now, his machine would not be able to come close to Rey at all.

Besides, he still needs to turn off the machine just to make sure it would not blow up suddenly.

He is still had not fully studied his exclusive machine yet so he is quite ignorant about this kinds of things.

That's why he transformed his machine back into fighter plane mode before landing or floating into the sea.

The Tristan proto type has been made with the same ability as aquatic planes which can make a 'landing' in the sea.

He then switched the coms into the Britannian broadcast channel to get support and rescue, he knows that there should be a nearby battleship or carrier that can take him in temporarily.

He made the Broadcast repeat itself as he leaned back into the seat and rested himself before he started thinking back to all the things that happened and thinking about all the things that he could have done better.

Meanwhile...

Rey and Fraye just got into the coordinates and what the two of them saw is two battleships fighting each other with a carrier far back from each side.

The aircraft carriers did not launch any fighter planes as they both do not want to make the skirmish bigger than it already is.

Rey then quickly switch his coms into the American channel.

"This is Reynald Amereci. Activation code *********. I repeat..." Rey said calmly before getting a response from the other side granting him permission to land into the carrier.

Rey and Fraye sighed in relief after hearing that as the system UI of the knightmare frame is already beeping due to low energy for quite a while now.

They really did not want to be stuck in the waters where a battle is currently happening.
