After Yetta Astir had hidden herself, Basil Jaak got out of bed and slowly made his way to the door in the pitch darkness.
The room wasn't entirely dark actually; thanks to the faint moonlight outside the window, if one looked closely, they could still make out the silhouettes of people inside.
When he reached the door, Basil Jaak "creaked" it open and saw a slender and graceful figure standing outside.
Her hair flowed over her shoulders, and upon seeing Basil Jaak open the door, she hesitated, saying, "Basil Jaak, I... I can't sleep, may I talk to you for a bit?"
Can't sleep at midnight?
Basil Jaak was surprised. Under the moonlight in the courtyard, he could only roughly make out Tina Riverside's facial contours, which from his angle, looked incredibly beautiful.
"Basil Jaak, if I'm disturbing your rest, then never mind..."
"No, it's not..."
Upon hearing Tina's sorrowful tone, Basil Jaak quickly responded.
