"So how's the food? Do you still think it's a rip-off?" her face flushed with embarrassment at his words, she was already finding it hard to digest the food because of the way he stared at her, and now he's teasing her too. It was almost like he gained some kind of fun from taunting her.
"To be honest, it's really good... But I've had better, and at a cheaper price too." She says, and Lords! There was something about how he stared at her that made her uncomfortably nervous and anxious and excited all at once.
Her throat had suddenly gone dry, so she reaches for her glass, and slowly sipped, and her eyes flew wide open with utter approval... "I guess at least the wine is worth your thumbs up." He chuckles at her expression after drinking the wine.
"I must confess, it's really good." she takes another sip, and a drop slips out of the glass, trailing down her jawline, and onto her neck.
And now, all he could think of was soaking her in wine filled tub from head to toe, and then slowly, he could see himself sucking from her skin... Very slowly, running his lips on her wet flesh, getting intoxicated by the wine and her body... Heavenly.
"I'm glad something is not a rip-off." He smiles.
"You said you've had better food at a cheaper price... Tell me White, are you being serious?"
"Of course sir." She says as she wipes the wine off her neck and jaw. "You might not believe it sir, but" she suddenly looks around, and leans in, signaling him to lean in too, like she was about to share a really important secret. "I've really had better, and it was better because all their ingredients were fresh. They grow and rear everything themselves." She whispered.
"Really?" he whispers back in a fascinating tone.
"Yes sir, really. I assure you, if you try that, you would drive all the way there every morning just to get another taste."
"Is that right?" he was getting fascinated and amused the more she spoke.
"uh-hun... And to be honest, this wine is good, but trust me when I say they make the finest shakes and smoothies in all of Black-Crust City. You won't mind swapping these wines for those sir."
"Really?" He asks like he was speaking with a child, and she nods her head like she was one. "Well then, what are we waiting for?" He whispers again, looking her directly in the eye.
"Sir?"
"Let's go to this place that sounds like a food heaven."
"Okay... Wait what???" her eyes widened with confusion, and she was once again reminded of how devilishly good-looking the man she was chatting with was, causing her to spontaneously withdraw from the table where she leaned, sitting up straight once again, but he remained that way, even plopping both his elbows on the table, resting his jaw between his knuckles as he watched her face turn redder and redder.
"You say it's a nice place, you say there's no other place like it in the whole of Black-Crust city, you say if I have a taste, I'd want more. So, take me there."
The lady just sat there, blinking, confused and uncertain. 'Why does it feel like he's trying to extend this lunch with me? But, any much longer with him, and I'm definitely going to fall completely... I know myself, I'm not strong when it comes to a man like this... And he is not an ordinary man. Everything about him is extraordinary, which is more reason why I should not spend another minute with him, but why is he trying to extend this lunch?'
"S_Sir, well the thing is uhh, I'm already past my lunch break, and even though I know I'm going to get fired, I still need to obey the mall's rules, so I need to head back now."
'Good girl, well done, run away from him. He's no good for you. No good at all. He's too much for you. Well done. Escape from these eyes because any longer and you will be forever lost in them.'
"Who says you're getting fired, White?" he finally sits up straight, now looking seriously at her. "Why would you get fired?" he inquires, looking rather clueless as to what she was saying.
But the one who was confused was Erina... "Sir, after what I did, I know I'm going to get fired, no questions asked."
"Who would fire you when I didn't give the go-ahead to do so?" His look clearly stated that I am the law, and I decide what happens. But he obviously didn't seem like he decided to fire her. But why??
"But sir? Are you not going to fire me? After that stupid mistake I made?"
"Would I buy lunch for a lady who I want to fire?" now he was the one who looked really puzzled. What did he do to make her think he wanted to fire her? Was it the food or the wine? Which part of their sweet lunch date seemed like a farewell party?
"I just thought you were a kind of sicko" she mutters, but he hears her still.
"I am a sicko... But in other areas. Trust me, I am." the words almost sounded like a warning, like he was telling her to run from him now that he was giving her the chance to, like he was telling her to escape while she still could.
"Listen, White, I'm not going to fire you... You're not losing your job. I assure you."
Erina could not decide what she wished to do, she wished to fall at his feet and tell him thank you for not rendering her jobless, at the same time she wished to run from him, from his demonic aura, from his devilish smile, from his eyes that seemed like an endless pit of green lava. The kind that she didn't want to drown in.
"I'm very grateful for that sir, but if I'm not fired, then that is even more reason for me to get going. I don't want to be scolded by..."
"I already told Gary to tell the manager to clock you out for the day... You've been off duty since we left the building."
'What? He already got me permission without even telling me. That means he had plans of spending extra time with me. But_ But... Why?'
Like he already knew what she was thinking, "I already told you, I'm intrigued by you, Maltese." He was calling her Maltese again. And she could feel her heart racing like a horse, could feel her body grow hot from just his stare and voice, he was really bad for her.
"So, where's this heavenly food place you talked about?" He was back to their previous topic with a rather arrogant and yet sexy smirk on his face... She needed to escape this man.
"S_Sir, t_the place is extremely far... It's all the way down in SillVille, and it's about an hour's drive... I mean two hours... Yes... Two hours and thirty minutes drive. It's not worth it, trust me."
"Well, I don't just have all evening... I have all week to spare. So I don't mind how far it takes." Her mouth fell wide open. He was a weird man, a weird man that weirdly wanted to spend more time with her because weirdly enough he found her intriguing. A weird man who obviously makes plans ahead of time. A weird man who clearly wasn't one to let something go easily... And a weird man whom she was already falling for.
'That's it... I'm doomed.'
