Her (Chapter 6)

Sky's Point of View

My phone suddenly rang. When I look at it, it's already nine thirty in the morning.

I move quickly, because my shift starts at eleven.

"Hey!" Shawn shouts, but I don't look back. I run so fast. 

I still have thirty minutes before my shift starts.

When I reached the elevator, I sighed deeply.

When the elevator opened on the fourteenth floor,

Everything went into slow motion. The elevator opened and I saw her standing. 

Slowly, she looked at me and walked towards me.

"Close your mouth, I know I am stunned every day."

No one spoke. Quite as if the wind broke. 

When we reach the ground floor, I stepped out and started walking fast to the cafe.

"Hey Sky, someone asked your name last night." Peter said.

"Really? Who? " 

"A girl asks your name. Wait, let me think of her name. Eli-Elizaa? Elinda? Oh, it's Elisha. " That girl? Why would she bother to ask for my name?

"Oh, the brat I met yesterday." 

"She is really stunning, like an angel." He patted my shoulder and left.

I get out of the locker room and start my shift.

She suddenly went into my front.

"Good morning, welcome to Cafe Loco. May I take your order, ma'am? "

She smiled at me.

"One iced coffee latte and a strawberry shortcake."

"Okay, so, one iced coffee latte and one strawberry shortcake. Is that all? "

"Yup, did you want anything on the menu?"

"Sorry to inform you, but we can't accept any complimentary gifts or meals from the customer."

"Okqy."

"That will be $20." She gave me her card.

I swipe it and send it back to her.

I prepared her order.

"Hey, she is Elisha." Peter said to me

"I know. She's just buying nothing more, nothing less than okay. "

"Okay." 

I went back to her and gave her an order.

"Thank you, come again," I said. She gave me a smirk and got her order and left.

After a few hours, it's already my break now.

"Hey Sky, you want to join us? We will eat at the Keizo restaurant."

Caylee tucked her arms into my arms.

"Sure, I'll just get my phone and wait for it in the lobby."

I tap her head and leave. Caylee has a crush on me. She had already confessed it last night.

I told her that I liked her too as a friend, so nothing would change. I got my phone in my locker room and went onto them in the lobby.

Caylee tucked her arms into my arms while we were walking.

"Hey, you two, tell us, are you dating?" Joy said, with a curious look.

"No, we are not dating. We were just friends. Right Sky? " Caylee said

"Yup."

"Yes." A murmur from Peter's side.

"Did you say anything?" I look at him.

"Nothing, we just thought that you guys were dating because of the way you treated each other." He explains

"Well, if one of us falls, We will still be the same. Nothing will change." Caylee said, and looked at me.

"Do you mean one of you has already fallen for the other? Whose? Did you fall for her Sky? " Patricia said with a curious grin.

"Well, wait, is that the restaurant? We're almost there. " I said, pointing to the Keizo restaurant.

"You guys are hiding from us." They laugh, and Caylee looks at me and whispers in my ears.

"Thank you." She said, and I gave her a smile.

When we entered the restaurant,

"Welcome to Keizo Restaurant," said one of the waitresses, bowing to us.

She led us to our table.

I laid my hand on Caylee when she sat on the floor.

"Good afternoon, here's the menu" waitress gave us a menu.

Caylee looked at the menu that I was holding.

"What do you like to eat?" I asked, still looking at the menu.

"Buta-no-Shogayaki and Mugicha." Caylee said.

"Soba, matcha, and kokeicha. You guys, what is your order? " 

"Tonkatsu and kokeicha," Peter said, handing the waitress the menu.

"Udon and sakura tea." 

"Please wait for a few minutes." The waitress left our table.

"Do you still refuse to tell us about your relationship?" Patricia said and shoved Peter.

"Yeah, tell us you guys are in a relationship or dating."

"We were just friends." Caylee said, and looked at me.

"Yeah, we are just friends." 

"Fine."

Our heads turn to the person who just entered the restaurant.

"Elisha?" Out of nowhere, I said,

"Oh, hi." She said and went on our way while looking at me.

"Hi," Peter said, and he attempted to shake hands with her.

"Hi Sky." She lends her hands to the table.

"Hello?"

"Can I join you guys?" She's still looking at me.

"Sure, go ahead." She sat beside me.

"Hi, I'm Elisha Williams." She shook hands with all of us.

"So Sky, did you know this place?"

I just nodded at her. The waitress came back with our order. 

"Hi, Ms. Elisha, how are you?"

"I'm fine. Nice to see you too, Akira."

Akira gave us our order.

"I need to go, Ms. Elisha." Elisha just nodded at her.

"How did you know her?" I ask.

"Well, I'm one of the owners of this restaurant. I just got back from my vacation. And I just got enrolled in your school. " She said, and winked at me.

"Let's eat." Caylee said, and she started eating.

While we were eating, she raised her hand and asked for a drink.

In just a snap, she got her sakura tea.

"Enjoy your meal." She left our table, went to the counter, and left the restaurant.

"Hey Sky, she is the one who asked your name last night. Remember the one I told you earlier? " Peter said, he look at me.

"Yup, you know, I have this gut feeling about her."

"Are you sure that is a gut feeling? Not love at first sight? I saw you the way you looked at her earlier when she entered the restaurant. You look stunned by her beauty. " According to Patricia, I think the way I looked at her in the elevator. It is not the same as how I see her when she enters the restaurant.

"Nope, something is missing. I don't know why, but I really have these guts about her. I don't know what it is, but soon I will know what this guts is. "

Caylee stood up and left the restaurant.

We were all shocked by what she did.

"Someone gets jealous." They say and tease me.

"That's not it. Maybe we are almost late already. " I said and walked out to the restaurant. I ran to look for Caylee.

I saw her in front of our cafe.

"Hey, why did you leave? Is there any problem, Caylee?" I said, holding his hand.

"Nothing, I just want to leave." We may be late to work. Sorry. "

"Are you jealous of her?"

"Nope, why would I? We are just friends, right? " I look at her eyes. Her eyes are teary.

I embraced her.

"Let's go." She said, and she left my hug.

We went back to our work.

With a few hours left, when we were almost closing time, I saw Elisha outside. Look, she's waiting for someone.

Someone went beside her and gave her a piece of paper and left.

She turned around and saw me. Looking at her. She looked mad when she saw me.

I continue cleaning all the tables and trying to focus my attention on her.

"Did you see anything?" A voice from my back I knew it was her and was trying to look calm.

"Nope, why?"

"Really? Did you see him? " She looked confident in asking me questions.

"Who?"

"Nothing." Then she left the cafe.

"What did she say?" "Peter said while cleaning the tile from my left side.

"I don't know. She asked me if I saw anything. I don't know what she's talking about. " I said, and left the table. I'm cleaning it.

She's getting weirder than I thought.

"Sky!" I turned around and saw Mizuki waving at me.

Suddenly, a gunshot broke the silence between us. Mizuki is lying on the floor. I run to Mizuki.

"Mizuki, wake up." I said while slapping her face.

I looked around and saw Elisha running away from the cafe.

"Elisha?"

"Hey dude, let's carry her." Peter said, he help me carry Mizuki.

While Patricia and Caylee ask the customers to calm down.

"Please go to Shawn and tell him what happened. I will go to the hospital now." I said

I carry Mizuki to the parking lot, open the back seat door and put Mizuki in the back seat. I drive my car. 

In the hospital, I get Mizuki from the back and carry her.

"Doc! Help! " I said and ran towards the doctor.

"What happened to her?"

"She got a gunshot in her shoulder. I don't know who shot her. Please help her. "

"We need an operation to remove the bullet."

"Okay, please do all the needed procedures." 

A carrier went to us.

I put Mizuki in the carrier.

"Sir, you cannot come with us. Please wait here. We will do our best." A nurse said, and they ran towards the operating room.

I went to the information room.

"What is your relationship to the patient?" The nurse said

"I'm her bodyguard." She looked at me. Right now, I look more like a waiter than a bodyguard.

"Please fill out this form." I fill out the forms and get my card. 

I paid for all the bills for her to get her operation. I went outside the operating room.

"What happened to Mizuki?" Shawn said.

"Someone shot her in the shoulder in the cafe."

I saw Klint running.

"I heard what happened to Mizuki. I give order to my gang to look at what is happening in the cafe. Let's wait for them. " He said, and looked at his watch.

"Thank you." 

It's been an hour since she came into the operating room.

We were all waiting for her to come out.

The doctor went out to the operating room.

"We already removed the bullet in her shoulder. Just wait for her to wake up. Excuse me. I need to round for my patients," the doctor said and left the area.

Minutes later, she went out to the operating room.

Klint went to me.

"I need to talk to you." We left the room.

"Gray already got the CCTV footage and it found out a girl shot Mizuki. They are still looking for a clear copy and looking for the person involved. " He tapped my shoulder.

"I know her. I saw her earlier before she shot Mizuki."

"Who?"

I look at him.

"Elisha Williams." Klint froze when I said it.

"Are you sure about it?"

"Yes."

I felt someone watching us. I looked around to look at it.

"Hey, what are you looking at?"

"I felt someone looking at us." I said and I'm still searching.

"Nothing to worry about, half of my gang is wearing disguises for them to help us protect Mizuki."

"Thank you." I left Klint outside and went back to the room.

"So what did Klint  said?"

"They got the CCTV footage and found out a girl shot Mizuki." I sit beside Mizuki's bed.

"Do you see her face? Do you know her? " Shawn said I should stand up and leave the room.

"Sky! Sky!" Shawn shouted my name when I left the room.

I want to see her. I want to know if she is the one who did that.

I went to my car and drove fast.

I get back to the academy. I get out of my car and run faster.

I'm still searching for her.

"Sky!" I stop running and go to see Caylee.

"How's Mizuki?"

"She's stable right now. But I need to leave now, Caylee. I'm looking for the person who shot Mizuki. "

"Are you looking for Elisha? I saw her do that to Mizuki. " I look at her.

"Did you?"

"Yes, I felt strange since early this morning with his actions. When she went in, you asked her if you saw anything. I never get out of sight of her. " I embraced her.

"Go to your room, don't open your door if I didn't text or call you. Please trust me. " She just nooded at me.

Caylee left while I was still searching for Elisha. Where are you? I need to find you.
