Chapter 37

Days passed quickly for Francheska as she tried to finish all of her scheduled interviews and photoshoots. At night, Francheska will spend several hours concentrating on memorizing the script that Director Cartel gave to her. She already cleared her mind and forget her coincidental meeting with Race. This is not yet the right time for her to deal with him. Francheska has plans to do and that is her priority.

Today is the day of Francheska's shooting with Director Cartel. She woke up early and all fresh that morning. Maybe because Francheska slept early yesterday but it feels like she had the best sleep of her life. After doing some morning stretches, Francheska took a bath. After that, she wore a plain fitted dress that shows her body curves and a pair of black strapped heels. She carried her handbag and made her way out of her room to meet Rissa downstairs.

"Good morning Rissa!" Francheska energetically greeted her manager.

"Good morning. It seems like you are excited for today's shoot, huh." Rissa mused.

"Well, of course! It's been a while since I last shoot for a movie. I just miss the feeling of acting in front of the cameras again."

"Well, that's good. You need to keep that energy until we arrived at the meeting place that Director Cartel gave to us." Rissa said before bringing a big suitcase outside. It contains all of the things Cheska will need later.

"Wait! Let me help you." Francheska said. But before she can touch the suitcase, Rissa pulled it away from her reach.

"Oh, shush. You do not have to haggard yourself over this. I can do this on my own." Rissa said before lifting the suitcase again and put it behind their company's van that is waiting for them outside. "By the way, your breakfast is already inside the van. I prepared a light breakfast for you to avoid making you sick while we are on the road."

"You are really strong and reliable, Rissa!" Francheska complimented her manager.

"I know. So you should not fall in love with me." Rissa answered before flipping her hair.

After that, the two of them had a joyous ride until they arrived at their meeting place. Rissa also informed the actress that she hired a temporary assistant for Cheska. She also pointed out that the assistant she hired is trustworthy and has a good character. Francheska nodded her head in understanding. She knows how hard it is to be her manager so Francheska does not want to make her job harder than it should be.

When they arrived at their meeting place, the eyes of those people who were already there stared at the van where Francheska is sitting. Rissa opened their van and helped Francheska to step down from the van. When she saw that they were looking at her, Francheska gave them her sweetest smile before greeting them. Francheska did not discriminate and greeted everyone with a smile on her face. She even greeted the crew who were lifting their equipment when she saw them looking at her. This earned their good impression towards the actress.

Scanning the area, Francheska saw Rachel was already there. She was sitting next to Iñigo and their fingers were interlocked while kissing each other's cheeks and lips sometimes. These two are really shameless. Rissa rolled her eyes in disgust when she saw them while Francheska just shrugged her shoulders.

Director Cartel was talking with the other cast when she noticed Francheska's arrival. The director called her and Francheska approached them with a smile on her face. Aldrich, the chosen male lead for this movie, is a famous actor in Finrel City. Aldrich started his career in acting when he was still a child. Francheska politely greeted him and he also did the same.

Director Cartel introduced them to each other. The director also instructed them to practice together so they can familiarize themselves and be comfortable with each other. Francheska was also introduced to the other actors and actresses and Francheska greeted them with a smile. Most of them were Francheska's fans and they cannot stop themselves asking if it is okay for them to take a picture together. Of course, Francheska agreed to their requests without any hesitation.

Director Cartel also called Rachel who is still having an intimate public display of affection with Iñigo not far away from them. When the director looked at Francheska in the eyes, the actress smiled at her to show that she is fine with it. When Rachel arrived, Francheska's smile is still plastered on her face.

"Ms. Cruz, this is Ms. Rachel Tan. She will play the role of Cecille, your best friend in the movie." Director Cartel explained.

Of course, Francheska knew that. She had already read the script. The female lead and the second female lead in this movie are sworn sisters. They promised to treat each other with fairness, love, and kindness. But it was all destroyed when they both fell in love with the same man. Because of desperation, Cecille betrayed her sworn sister hoping to get the attention of the man she loves the most.

When Francheska first read the script, she can't help but laugh. It seems like Cecille's role in this movie is destined to fall in Rachel's hand. No wonder her dear stepsister was desperate to get the role of the second female lead. It was her calling to act in that role.
