Adrian, after suffering all the misfortunes in life, finds himself in a strange situation where he is injected with something. They have awoken something in him. Something ancient. In a world where only those with gods, demons, supernatural beings and old ones wrestle for power, what would he do? Will his destiny carry him or will he make his own? This novel is part of the Spirity Contest and the number of votes will dictate mass releases. The pace will be slow since I like to focus more on world building.

"Get out of there right now." Adrian suddenly stated which made the other jump.

"Why?" Jihan asked but the sound of gunshots suddenly made the quiet ruins loud.

"Mercenaries have arrived. They also hounded all the researchers and even took one of the heads." Sophia stated as she peered from the corner.

The two of them are currently not near the excavation site as they are surveying the surroundings. They could soon hear that the people that released the gunfire are getting close to them. Sophia waited behind a wall and immediately strangled the guy that passed by her. She got the gun and the ammo as she will now go full commando.

"What is the current situation?" Joe asked.

"All the guards from the Global Environmental Union are either dead or heavily injured. One of the head researchers were brought inside the ruins with the two suspects and their groups. We shall now try and rescue the ones held under captivity." Sophia stated.
