Forgetting

Aki took a deep breath and spoke. "Welcome, I appreciate you all attending my birthday ball. I would like to show some gratitude to my parents. They raised me kindly, and gave me love and care. I love them deeply and want to find a way to show my thanks. So I am here to announce my goal. I want to become strong enough to protect my family, and make them proud. With that, I hope you all enjoy the party and have fun to your hearts content. Thank you." Aki gave a smile and walked off the stage.

His father grinned happily. "Aki, they all seem impressed with your speech. Good job, son. And I believe you'll make me and your mother proud no matter what, so don't feel pressured." He hugged his son tightly and chuckled. "Now go have fun!"

Aki nodded and then walked towards an area with empty couches. He sat and thought deeply. Then a group of boys around the same age as him walked up energetically. "Hello!" one of the boys said.

"Hello." Aki responded with a smile.

"Do you want to go play with us?" A boy said excitedly.

"Sure!" Aki said, following the other boys enthusiastically.

When Aki turned 1 and a half, he forgot all about his past life. He only remembered the maturity he had since he was born. He remembered everything that happened in this life but couldn't remember anything that took place in his past life. The only thing that remained was his mature way of thinking, his basic personality traits, and his intellect. Additionally, he remembered things that felt automatic. For example reading, writing, talking, basic math, and walking. Those are all things he did without thinking in his past life. But stuff that had to do specifically with his past life like his age, the use of technology, and any memories were all gone. Meaning he was basically an extremely intelligent child.

Aki played joyfully with the other children. Laughing and running around.

"He's just like any other child… but the genuine surprise on his father's face means that that speech was written by the child himself."

"He's a genius, he talks respectfully and has very intellectual thought processes, but he's a child in the end."

The nobles all murmured with awe as they analyzed the white haired child before them. He seemed very smart and mature, but he still acted like a child. It was all very confusing for them. They all concluded that he just had a larger understanding of the world and had much more intellect than the average five year old. They were exactly right. That was the most accurate conclusion possible.

"Status open!" Aki exclaimed excitedly. He always looked forward to the results of his hard work. It made him feel accomplished, proud, and confident. The status window popped up.

Aki smiled from ear to ear. He was proud of how hard he worked and getting complimented made him confident and gave him more motivation.
