Chapter Thirty_Four: Angels POV: Pieces Of The Beginning’s Fire

Song recommended: Lights Out By Jovan Perez

Her footsteps were slow as she walked deeper into the cave that seemed to never end for some reason. Slowly she noticed markings in it and she decided to walk closer to the wall. Wanting to figure out what marks they were exactly.

And bit by bit they instilled fear into her as she noticed what they were. They grew bigger and bigger with each step. Increasing till they were all over the walls of the caves and they were different kinds of markings.

These were all claw marks. Yet there were also line markings as though measurings of some kind. And when she came closer to the end of the tunnel that's when she noticed the biggest outline of wings she has ever seen.

Wings that seemed to have certain markings and sharp edges on it. she couldn't even fathom how they would look if she saw them in front of her. So when she reached out to touch them, she wasn't surprised to feel the sharpness on the walls.

It was as if someone had forcibly carved this into the walls as if to reshape what was seen. "Magnificient." She whispered as she continued to run her fingers over it and that's when her eyes caught sight of something glowing in the corner.

When she turned to focus on it, she noticed it laying far into the rock as if tucked to the corner. As if someone was hiding it. When she pulled it out, she let out a loud yelp and dropped it unintentionally into the small flame that had been close to the wall.

Once the feather fell into it, it threw her back as she felt the fire grow harsher and nearly burn her. "Glory!" she cried, shielding her face with her hand and looking away. She counted to three and when she was sure that she was still alive. She slowly turned to look back at it.

What had once been an angry explosion was now a figure of an elderly woman, who seemed to watch her with a smile yet curious eyes. The outline of her body glowed a bright gold but it didn't mean that she still wasn't standing with a representation of a burning bush.

"Child. You are very far from home, why are you here?" the woman asked with a kind voice that boomed throughout the cave. Causing a shiver to run through her from the shock. "I-I…" I stuttered.

I had no words for the woman due to the shock running in me. I had never heard of her nor seen her in my entire life. She had thought she had studied or paid enough attention in class about the beginning but it seemed as though they had missed too many chapters.

"Who are you…" I whispered as she slowly reeled in. "I am… who I am… the question is dear child… who are you? And why are you here especially in this cave." She asked as she gave me a chilling smile.

"Aural. I am here to redeem myself to Him. I have sinned and taken a life that was not to be taken by me. I need to find… someone." I whispered, unsure whether to tell her who I was really looking for or keeping my mouth shut.

"The golden angel… I knew there would be a time where his good deeds would once turn against him. There is never enough good that can save you from the whispers of others. Or their judgments. You come looking for that angel yet your hands are not dirty.

You come looking for him yet your mind is heavy and so is your heart. You are clouded by your own judgments. Yet here you are. What a pity it is, to see someone like you, stuck in chase of redemption that isn't your own. Seeking to cleanse hands that you cannot even see." She riddled as she stared at me.

"I don't know what you mean, I am just being told what to do to wipe my own slate clean," I whispered. "Selfish." She laughed. "No! not selfish!" I defended, pushing myself away from her. feeling as though she was trying to break me apart. And I couldn't allow myself to do that.

"Yes, child, you are. You go on this 'adventure' trying to find a way to wipe your won plate clean. What about the hundreds, thousands, millions! They need their own plate clean. Just because you are an angel doesn't mean anything to anyone. so again I ask you. Why? Why are you here?" she questioned.

"I want to return home!" I snapped at her, feeling my emotions begin to overwhelm me heavily. "Home? A place that might as well be foreign to you. You have spent your years obedient in every way yet curious to know the ways of others. You have kept your head high with every angel. Looking down on the very lives of human beings.

Yet here you are, willing to do anything to wash your hands till the red drips off and all you see is nothing but the purity of water. Yet I tell you one thing, young child, even a killer who knows the reasons for his actions and is willing to change his ways. Deserves more than one who has been innocent all her life yet went astray once.

You will never know your truth until you find yourself. Until then you will be blind and you will love the very essence that was bore to darkness. You will be lost and until you are willing, you will move in loops.

Till you find your way, the golden angel will forever move in silence." She boomed and all the light that was in the cave. Went off and she was stuck holding back her tears as she stared into nothing but darkness.
