Chapter Fourty_ Eight: Angel X Darkness POV: Darkness and Light Acquaint

"There it is … you are so close to figuring out what I am. This is going to be an interesting adventure especially since we are both stuck looking for that angel. So I do wonder how this will turn out. Don't you?

... fallen angels … they reek of humans. You on the other hand, you smell a bit worse. Ah, I know why you are drenched in your own kind of blood and you haven't showered." He chuckled as he watched.

She stared at him, shocked and embrassed. Not only had he insulted her but he said it in a way that clearly made her confidence shrink inside. He had the audacity to tell her that she basically smelled like a mortuary.

Would it be wrong if she killed him? Would it set her back quicker if she did it and went to look for the golden angel? Or could she do it and leave this realm peacefully? Or was this pushing it too far?

One thing was sure though, "I don't like you." She whispered with a twitch of an eye as she pushed herself up and went to the stream. She would have to find a place that was a bit more secluded so that she could easily clean herself, without being seen naked.

"I don't mind you not liking me, that's fine, trust me when I say I am definitely used to it." he chuckled as he watched her hurry away from him. He knew that she would find a way to clean herself and that was fine but he was not about to deceive her. Beings of all kind could deceive themselves all they wanted.

But the myth that all beings in hell were liars was a big joke. Majority of them were more honest than the big man upstairs. At times, they would see it as a curse because of what his father had did but they had become smarter with the way they used their words.

Yet when it came to his mother, father and himself. They preferred the truth over anything and that was what many hated. They hated knowing that they were wrong and that were endless probabilities in life. They hated knowing that power was just a bone for every person with an ego to forfill.

They hated knowing that they could fail and that was okay but that was something that could either build them or destroy them. That's why so many found ways of building others up, found ways in which to coax a person to continue doing something. Even though they knew the truth, that sometimes, some things aren't mean for you.

In this case, he could already smell her fear and her demotivation. He could already see how she was already broken in more ways than a human being. So why send her when she still had a lot of healing and growing to do? Aamon wondered if this would become more a show than a task.

"Why you fallen angel, why you?" He mumbled.

"Why are you still following me?" he heard her ask as she stopped in front of a waterfall. There was a place there where she could shower, at least she found that but she would need to find scenters so that the sweat wouldn't make her smell. Does she even know how they look?

"Hello?" she called and he turned to her boredly. "You're going to need scenters, I would suggest finding lillies or daises or mint leaves. That way when you're done with cleaning yourself you can use those plants. Just rub them on you and you will smell as good as new" He said as he took a seat on one of the rocks.

He could see her face morph into confusion for a second, probably trying to figure out why he told her that. He was glad that he didn't have to explain this to her, it gave him hope to at least know she knew the basics. How pretty, she was basically smart.

"I could go search for those things and then hurry and bathe before creatures or animals are here to surprise the both of us again. Would you like that kind of adventure again? If you do, I don't mind watching as long as I don't have to save you." He continued.

He watched her take a step back quickly as though she realized that he wouldn't leave and honestly, if he was, she was right. It was time she did things differently from how her father taught her.
