Wedding Bells

A family dinner was set in the Devlins household to talk about the preparations for the next full moon. All the members of the family were expected to arrive. Stanley's health have started to deteriorate again, as his knees weaken and his hands tremble. This time, his memories started to fade and all he recognizes among his children most of the time is Scott.

Pushed by Reina on his wheelchair, Stanley was placed at the head of the 12-seater table where his children were waiting. "Where's Scott?", the old man asked not minding his other sons who greeted him with a peck on a cheek.

Just in time, Scott arrived with Lily clinging on his arm as they enter the dining room. Sebastian couldn't help but harden his face on the sibling who have totally erased Diana in his life. Scott pulled a chair and sat on the other end of the table, while Lily sat near him. Her giggles and sweet nothings to Scott nearly made Sebastian puke on his plate.

"Do everyone a favor, get a room", Sebastian said as he drink his wine.

"Maybe later, right darling?", Lily replied with loud chuckles while Scott kept a straight face.

The food was immediately served as soon as everyone has settled on their seats. Sebastian searched for Priscilla whose seat is empty. "Isn't Priscilla coming?", he asked.

"She's on a business trip, and might come back after the full moon", Damon answered as he ask for a glass of wine.

Scott noticed disappointment written all over Sebastian's face. "What? Missing mother, now?", he asked.

"I have something she left at a friend's house. I thought I should return it", Sebastian replied as he fidget with the ring he found at Diana's home.

"Your friend?", Reina asked. "That's a first, Priscilla never knew any of your friends", she added.

"That's what I'm trying to find out", Sebastian said as took glance at Scott who's staring at the ring he's holding. He met his gaze as he put the ring back in his pocket.

"She won't be back anytime soon. Would you like me to send her a message?", Damon asked as he slice his steak.

Sebastian smacked his lips after a bite of the salmon. "I'm alright, brother. It can wait", he said.

"So when's the wedding? Are we hearing wedding bells soon, son?", Stanley asked Scott sitting across him.

Lily interlaced her fingers with Scott's as she batted her eyelashes. "Uhh.. Definitely!", she wet her lips as she gazed at Scott. "It would be like the wedding of the century. I'm sure you're excited to see your grandchildren soon before you pass, right Father?", she asked Stanley who's trying so hard to stop the hand tremors by clasping his hands.

Damon almost spilt his wine as he snorted some through his nose at Lily's remark. He wiped his mouth as he grin. "Better make it soon then", he replied with a laugh.

"Wedding, nice..", Reina peeled her shrimp and lobsters with her bare hands. "You know, we gave Scott a hand to get out in his first. I don't mind doing it all again the next time", Reina said as she lick her fingers.

"I won't let anyone ruin the dream wedding of my bride.", Scott replied as he graze his necklace.

Lily had her eyes twinkled and bit her lip with a smile. "I'll shall make the preparations then! I didn't know you're into weddings, darling", she whispered.

"Since you are quite in a hurry, maybe we can have the wedding this full moon? What do you think Father?", Sebastian said as he slice his steak.

"It's.. a great idea. We can have the wedding here at the mansion", Stanley replied.

"Wow! That's great! Well then, I'll have to choose a dress, the suit and the food.. the decorations and flowers and all!!", Lily said with tender excitement. "I'm just going to make some calls", she added as she stood up, took her phone with and left the room.

Scott deeply sighed as he looked fixedly at his family. "You didn't have to make a wedding plan an excuse to kick her out", he said.

"You look excited, though", Sebastian grinned as he lifted his wine glass.

"Weddings make me happy", Scott replied as he lifted his to Sebastian.

"That's settled then. Inform the Woodsworths right away", Stanley said. Scott gave Stanley a double look when he heard the surname the old man mentioned.

"He meant Lily. He's mind has been slipping these days", Reina answered. "Or.. you want to switch brides?", she asked. Scott just cleared his throat as he tightened his jaw, ignoring her sister's question.

"It's too soon for a wedding. With so much preparations, everything might not get settled by tomorrow", Scott said.

"Right..", Sebastian nodded as he agreed. "About the moonbath, the town has been informed that everyone will be basking under the moon light on their own.", Sebastian said. "As for us and nearby clan members, we'll have it here.. preferably in the Devlin Island across the lake", he added.

"Here? Why not in our town with the entire clan?", Damon asked.

"The people haven't recovered yet. Let's respect their decision", Reina said as she wash her palate with water. "You better clean up your lab in there, before we find dead bodies or.. your secret love children you've been keeping in", she said to Damon.

"Whaat? No.", Damon scoffed and laughed at the idea.

"Why? What's going on?", Sebastian asked.

"Damon spends most of his time there", Reina said as she start to eat her dessert.

"Priscilla wanted me to renovate a few areas there.", Damon smiled a little. " Anyway, How about the rumors about Scott? And the lycan?", he asked.

Scott looked at the concerned faces of each member of the family in the room, traced with fear and anxiety. "We have that covered", he said as Lily runs back in all excited to plan a grand wedding.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING HERE?!", Scott hissed as he sees Roman and his pack unboarding the boat in the Devlin Island. He couldn't get more furious at the smug face Roman made as he walk towards him.

"This is interesting", Cory said as he stood by with Lucas and the rest of the pack. The tension arises as they the eyes of Roman's pack carrying heavy silver weapons.

"The old man invited them. I told you, his mind has been slipping. Maybe he remembered Roman still being a business partner", Reina said as she force a smile.

The small lone island a few rows from the Devlins Mansion started to get swarmed by nearby clan members who chose to moonbathe with the Alpha and his family. Indifferently, Roman and his pack were invited for a night under the moon by Stanley, who's mind isn't lucid at that time.

"Well, well. If it isn't the great Alpha of the Grayback Clan", Roman said as he take off his shirt exposing his full back tattoo. "I heard you found yourself a Luna", he glanced at Lily who's wearing a short and fitted version of the traditional dress for female wolves. "Diana and I send you our blessing", he said with a smirk.

"I don't need it", Scott said as he stare down at Roman. "You may leave if the place doesn't fit to your liking", he said.

"This place ain't too bad.", Roman looked around the small parcel of land full of trees. "The Devlins really love our clan. I hope, there's no lycan this time", Roman said.

"It's not like we're not ready" Gunner showed the heavy guns they brought with them. They met the eyes of each member of Scott's pack before they headed on.

"Be careful with those, you might get yourself hurt", Lucas glared as they walk away.

Scott and his pack went on the middle of the empty field. He stared at the spot where he brought Diana during his birthday. He clenched his teeth as he sees Riman standing there lookinv back at him. "What an eyesore", he whispered.

The moon was about become full. Everyone were getting ready as it shows. Lily approached Scott but was pushed away by Reina. "Step aside, girl", Reina said as she block her way to Scott. The pack were on high alert just in case the rumors were true about the Alpha.

All eyes were on Scott. And as the full moon finally owned the beautiful night sky, Roman had his eyes widen in shock at Scott. "What the fuck!", he exclaimed.
