The Big Bad Wolf is Coming For You

Diana barely slept last night. She didn't even know how she slept as she was bewildered with questions that cannot be easily answered.

"He hated doctors, so I won't make any difference. Besides, why would I?", Diana said with a long sigh as she get up from the bed. Beams of sunlight have started to seep through her window, aiming at her face that had no signs weariness from an apparently long sleepless night.

Wearing a long gray laced satin night gown with a matching laced long sleeves robe, Diana was combing her hair and sprucing herself up when she heard a soft knock on the door.

"Room service for Ms. Diana Woodsworth?", a lady with dark blonde hair and brown eyes who looked like she's in her 40s, and a team of three young lads greeted her at the door.

"Please come in", Diana said as she opened the door wide and welcomed the island staff to serve her breakfast and clean up her bungalow.

"Would you like to have your breakfast served at the balcony, Ms. Diana?", the lady asked with a lovely smile. She looked so prim and proper with her hair tied in a pony tail, wearing a thin rimmed round eye glasses.

"Yes, please. I'll be there in a minute.", Diana said with delight as she went back in the bathroom to finish tidying up. The island staff prepared her meal at the balcony, and started cleaning up her bungalow.

As soon as Diana was done, she stepped out of the bathroom and went into the balcony. The dark blonde lady assisted Diana for breakfast and happily served her. Diana was stunned with her very familiar smile that seemed to remind her of someone.

"Is there something wrong, Ms Diana?", the worried lady asked thinking she did something wrong as Diana stared at her intently.

"Oh nothing, I'm sorry.", Diana smiled and waved signaling no. "Your smile just reminded of a couple of children I met here in the island", she said as she clasped her hands on the table.

"Please don't tell me it's Isabelle and Isaac?", she said in a very fretful tone as she squinted her eyes and lowered her head a little.

"Oh my, do you know them?", Diana asked as she placed her palms down the table and sat upright leaning towards the nervous island staff.

"I'm afraid they are my children, Ms. Diana. Did they do something wrong?", she asked politely.

"No! Definitely not! I adore your children. They are very lovable. I met them on my first night here.", Diana leaned on one side, rested her chin on her hand and smiled. "I'm sorry, but I didn't get your name", she asked.

"My name is Emilia, Ms Diana.", Emilia said as she prepared some tea for Diana. "I'm glad my children didn't bother you. Sometimes they are troublesome", she added.

"Please call me, Diana. No worries, your children are truly adorable", she replied as she noticed something fell out from Emilia's pocket.

"What's this?", Diana picked up a reversed tarot card that shows Wheel Of Fortune.

Emilia's eyes widen and pushed her eyeglasses back when she saw that the presentation of the tarot card Diana picked up served bad luck.

"It's a tarot card, Diana. I tell fortune through card and palm reading for some guests and co workers as my past time", she awkwardly smiled and took the card from her. "For free of course", putting back the card in her pocket.

Emilia was bothered so she offered to read Diana's fortune. "Would you like to try, Diana?", she asked.

Being skeptical, Diana was hesitant but she doesn't want to be impolite.

"All right, let's give it a try then", Diana said.

Emilia sat down across Diana. She laid out a red piece of cloth and placed down a deck of slim tarot cards. She asked Diana to shuffle it and cut it in half, then put it back on the table.

Emilia then draw the first tarot card.

THE LOVERS. Emilia sighed in relief at the first tarot card. "Ah! Love is on your way, Diana. You both are at the crossroads of love .", Emilia said with a sweet smile.

Diana lifted her eyebrows in her surprise. She was supposed to get married but it was cancelled. She doesn't have a boyfriend so, the first card reading is totally unreal. "Okay, I'm very lucky I guess. The next one please", she said as she drink her tea.

Emilia thought Diana does not really believe in things like this. But, she still continued for she's curious about the girl with the sapphire eyes.

Emilia pulled out a reversed tarot card of 10 SWORDS. "Destruction. Someone you trust and close to you will betray you", Emilia said in a serious tone as she gaze at Diana pushing the card towards her. "Beware of the person who is a wolf in sheep's clothing, they are fools who bring nothing but trickery", Emilia warned.

'Betray me? Now that's new.', Diana thought. She lived her life with only a few people close to her. She has been treated way too good, and almost perfect. "Ohh.. now who could that be?", Diana asked as she held the card up, getting more interested with the fortune ahead of her as shown in the cards.

"I'm sorry. I only know what's written on the cards", Emilia smiled as she draw another card.

Next one is the reversed KNIGHT OF SWORDS - "Hmm… Someone is not being honest with you.", Emilia said as her eyeglasses slide down on the tip of her nose. Emilia noticed how Diana's reaction changed. "But don't worry, unspoken truth no matter how hidden, will still come out", she said as she tapped the card.

Diana didn't say a word. She only thought of one person, and somewhere in her heart, she hoped that she's wrong.

Emilia drew another card and revealed… DEATH. She paused and swallowed a lump in her throat. She looked at Diana and smiled, "Why don't you pick another a card instead?".

Diana was confused why Emilia refused to read the card with a skeleton riding a horse. She doesn't know the rules, so she just drew another card as told.

She pulled out THE MOON. It represents deception and difficult times in hidden things.

"I see nothing but darkness and terror.", Emilia frowned as she completed the tarot reading. "Your life is in danger, Diana", Emilia worried said as she picked up all the cards together in one deck.

"What is it?", Diana furrowed her brows in confusion.

"Do you mind if I read your palm?", Emilia said while giving out an open palm.

Diana who's at the edge of her seat, laid her palm on Emilia's hand. Emilia clasped Diana's hands with one hand under, and the other on top. In a split second, her eyes turned completely white.

Diana was shocked as she gasped in terror. She tapped Emilia with her other hand saying..

"EMILIA?! What's happening??"

Emilia was breathing and shivering heavily as tears flow from her eyes. In a few moments, blood came out of her nose.

Diana panicked in fear and kept shouting Emilia's name.

Emilia's body stiffened. She closed her eyes as her body weakened loosening her grip from Diana's hand.

Diana stood up and held Emilia. "What happened are you okay??", she said as she rubbed Emilia's back handing her a napkin.

Emilia clutched on Diana's arm, looked up to her and said "The big bad wolf is coming for you, Diana".
