Nagualli don’t have a Heart

Alva uttered three words in a different language allowing the force field partition to quickly thin before it completely dissolve. She draw near Claudia, who's turning to a human, as she grin ear to ear. "My.. my.. Not so tough now, aren't we?", Alva clicked her tongue as she enters the red circle.

Breathlessly, Claudia grunted in devastation as she feel the throbbing pulse on her neck, the sudden warmth on her cheeks and the blushing complexion all over her body. "Impossible..", she frightfully stared at her trembling hands as she breathe heavily.

"Take our guest to her special room. Make sure she's treated very well", Alva ordered as a couple of Nagas, shapeshifters with a skin of a snake, took Claudia away.

Diana watched how they drag Claudia out of the room. Taken away by force without any strenght to retaliate, Claudia glared at Diana simpering over her bite marks as she mouthe, "You'll be dead".

Diana just met Claudia's gaze with fiery eyes, as she wince at the stinging puncture wounds she obtained. She then turned to Alva who was sighing in relief with eyes closed, ending with a devious smile.

Feeling her chest about to explode out of too much anger, Diana's eyes swelled even more from getting appalled knowing that the mother she grew up with, nonhesitantly put her life at risk to capture an original vampire, like throwing a lamb in a lion's den.

"How could you..", Diana lamented her broken heart at Alva who instantly turned to a complete stranger to her. The years of family feeling and moments they shared as mother and daughter receded like a candle in the wind.

"It's not like your first time, darling. You were so brave when you let some vampire drink your blood straight from your arm. You were so ready to give your life to that young stupid wolf back in the town", Alva said while resting her hand on her waist.

"Why are you doing this..", Diana whimpered on the floor while she control the bleeding on her neck. She looked deep into Alva's eyes with heightened dismay and indignation.

"Don't look at me like that. You are created that way for a certain purpose. And that's only it", Alva replied.

Diana silently cried as her face turn red. The love from a mother that she thought was real, is nothing but a total lie. When she saw Scott sharing a kiss with Christina, she admitted to herself that she could endure the pain, and move on after crying out the heartache. But now, the betrayal and blood feud is such an overwhelming distress because family issues always hit different. Blood related or not, Diana expected that Alva would've at least bear an ounce of motherly affection towards her after all these years.

Diana stood up without removing her gaze at Alva. Her wounds on her neck have already started to heal. Keeping it together, she exhaled sharply and wiped away her tears.

"Listen up Diana. I know how badly you want to end the curse for Scott. To make you feel better, I'll do you a favor since, you've been a nice little girl to your mother.. I will gladly lift the curse on the Lockwoods.. and for me to do that, you have to bring Scott to me.", Alva said.

"And you think I'll fall for that trick?", Diana asked with furrowed brows. "What makes you think that I'll bring Scott to you?", she added.

"It's not a trick. Ha-ha", Alva laughed sarcastically. "I'm sure you'd want to spend a lot of happy days with Scott without shedding some more blood.

Either way, we all know I am the only one who can remove that curse", Alva placed her hand on her chest. "You want to break the curse? Bring Scott to me, or else, I'll be more than happy to sit at the front row and watch Scott ravage your entire body down to the very last drop of your blood..", Alva lifted her brows at Diana with a hardened face.

"He's nothing to me now.", Diana whispered.

Alva looked up and sensed something that made her eyes twinkle in delight. "Speak of the devil", she uttered. Then she looked at Diana and said, "I may not need you after all". Alva hurriedly went up leaving Diana in the cold dark basement.

Standing in the middle of the room, Diana stared into nothing as she start to lose hope, reason and will to move forward. She suddenly felt broken, like a glass hammered into million pieces. Diana did had her doubts on Alva, but never as close to a situation like this - deadly and vile.

"Nagualli don't have a heart. That's for sure", a tiny voice of a man blurted out. Glowing in white light at the corner of the room, he stepped forward with his hands on his back. "Let's go Diana, before they come back", he deeply sighed as he held Diana's hand who's completely absorbed in her own lost thoughts.

EARLIER

Roman removed his helmet, fixed his hair and replied, "Scott Devlin".

As he look fixedly, Scott could barely hide his feeling of annoyance seeing Roman who's earnestly coming after Diana again.

"We were told Diana isn't feeling at her best. So might as well you guys turn back. You'll just waste your precious time.", Roman said as he rev his motorcycle.

"It's amazing how you guys are always updated with the Luna's whereabouts", Cory said. "Hey! We don't mind checking up on her personally", Cory replied with a smirk.

"We got this place covered. We ain't leaving without the Luna", Troy replied.

"Are you sure about that, little pup? You still got milk spilled all over your mouth", Cory squinted his eyes as he step forward.

Troy growled at Cory's remark. "Easy", Roman waved his hand as he break off the heated word exchange of the two wolves. "We're here for Diana. We'll claim her as soon as she's on sight.", Roman said.

"Excuse me? Diana doesn't go with..", Kate gazed at Roman from head to toe. "Bikers", Kate added. "No offense, hun. You're good-looking and all but, Diana already have a boyfriend", she said as she give a side-eye to Scott.

"What? That's funny.", Roman and his pack gave them a cunning smile and a soft chuckle. "But, I'm sure Diana don't see Scott that way anymore", Roman said with a serious face staring at Scott.

"Huh? What do you mean?", Kate asked in confusion.

"Ask Scott and the girl he kissed in the woods. Diana saw everything.", Roman said.

"Kissed?", Cory and Kate asked in unison as they widen their eyes in deliberate shock

"You and Christina??", Cory asked again. "Yuck", Cory gestured like he's going to vomit.

"That was nothing. Diana trusts me. And I won't ever dare hurt her", Scott said in a relaxed tone.

"No no, you don't have to explain. Diana's moving on with me. Don't bother seeing her, because she won't be seeing you". Roman replied.

"Keep talking. Say whatever you want.", Lucas said while Scott ignored Roman and his pack. Scott shrugged them off and just went on.

"Okay, Thanks and Bye!", Cory said as they follow Scott.

Roman scoffed as he stared at the group who's walking towards the Woodsworth Residence. "They're taking her out, standby", Roman said they watch Scott walk away.

Kate rang the doorbell twice. She patiently waited at the gate until it automatically opened for her. Entering the Woodsworth grounds, she looked around and noticed Scott, Lucas and Cory have already got in too.

After a few knocks on the door, Kate greeted the butler with all smiles. "Hi Hendrick! Diana's expecting me. I have.. ", she said when she was interrupted abruptly by the butler.

"I'm sorry Miss Kate, Dr. Diana is still not feeling well. You may come back tomorrow", Hendrick was about to close the door when Kate held it up with her hand.

"Wait! She asked me to bring these medicines for her. You know how bad her migraine is. This is the only pain reliever that works for her", Kaye insisted as she place her foot by the door.

"Come on Hendrick, you don't want Diana to get furious and feeling sick all week", Kate showed her hard-to-resist puppy eyes. And while she continued nagging and making excuses, Scott Lucas and Cory sneaked in through the windows.

With caution and alertness, the three wolves combed the empty halls searching for Diana. Hiding in the shadows, they carefully sneaked in Diana's bedroom on the second floor. As expected, they were welcomed by an empty room.

The three slowly went out of the room when they sensed something uncanny. "Something's different", Lucas said as he furrowed his brows as the cold winds blow.

"There's an original vampire here", Scott replied as he sense the deadly ambiance.

"The Luna might be in danger", Cory whispered as he leaned against the door.

"She's waiting for you down in the basement", they heard a voice of a woman coming from the end of the hallway. Hearing clacking of shoes, the three waited in anticipation until they get a glimpse of the woman coming in.
