Alpha Herrick's POV

"Well, I am the Alpha," I said confidently. "So this was all in the plan too? The Crescent Ridge pack?"

"Of course, you aren't that dumb. Are you?" Beta Alexander retorted sharply. "It was all in the plan. Alpha Rykee has been a good friend, his father and I were good friends and now we are together. At least, he listens to me and does what I want." 

"I listened to you too, more than I did, to anyone, because I saw you as my father." I said.

"That's not true. You only saw me as a subordinate, I wasn't even good enough for you. You ordered me around and didn't listen to what I had to see. I asked you not to bring in that slave, Elena, but you did. I warned you several times about her, but you didn't listen. When you didn't listen to me and you brought her home. Then, I knew I had to come up with a plan to get rid of you." 

My legs were weak, and I couldn't listen anymore.
