Morning Training

The morning sun cast a warm glow over the Crescent Moon pack's territory as we returned from our escapades the previous night. While the revelations about the alliance with the Crescent Ridge pack still weighed on my mind, I couldn't deny that the healing I had provided had brought a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

As we returned to our quarters, Alpha Herrick and I walked in silence. The tension between us was palpable, but for once in my life, I found it challenging to stay angry. I had been useful, and that sense of usefulness was a new and welcome feeling.

Alpha Herrick cleared his throat, breaking the silence. "Elena, I want to apologise for not including you in the decision-making process regarding the alliance. It was a mistake on my part."

I turned to him, my expression softening. "Thank you for acknowledging that, Alpha Herrick. It means a lot to me."
